Bad failed to deliver on several occasions

Bad. More than 3 occasions they have not showed up with our food, cancelled our orders in the last minute, left us waiting for over 50 mins waiting for the delivery only to be disappointed with a cancellation or no show. Will not use them again. They are charging 25% more than what the restaurant charges and yet cannot deliver.

A Deliveroo rider knocked me over on…

A Deliveroo rider knocked me over on the pavement and caused significant injury. The rider did not stop or offer assistance. I called Deliveroo and they deny any responsibility. This is shameful and illegal. Deliveroo riders must be prosecuted if they ride on the pavement. End of. This is a disgraceful company and should not be supported.

Absolute disgrace

Absolute disgrace. Food dumped on doorstep, no door knock or doorbell rung (we were a few feet from the door the entire time). I only realized it had been delivered when I noticed the tracker boasting of the brilliant delivery time. Cold, expensive food. Then you realize they give no mechanism to complain other than email (no acknowledgement of the email I sent). Google provided me with a phone number which connected to, you guessed it, an overseas call center. You can also guess how much "help" was forthcoming, but at least the phone drone got to practice her English. AVOID DELIVEROO.

After a hard week with my kids all…

After a hard week with my kids all starting a new school I decided that I would treat them to a happy meal each.. I t was the day before I got paid, there was nothing in my cupboard to eat and I had just enough money left to buy us all food.. we ordered a medium BBQ Angus meal for my teenage daughter,a medium double cheeseburger meal fir myself and 5 cheeseburger happy meals for the 5 little kids. When it finally arrived we received one McDonald's bag that had two happy meal boxes.. we tried to tell the driver that it wasn't right but he took off.. when I opened the boxes I found a few fries scattered through the boxes without any packaging and one cheeseburger that had no cheese no sauce or mustard on and two stale burger buns.. as if they'd actually given me leftover scraps from someone else's meal. That's it!
I immediately contacted the live chat and spoke with five different people who copied their responses from the same script and pasted it to respond to me begging them to help me because I didn't have anything for my children to eat and it was their responsibility to fix their mistakes. They all pasted the same response saying they are sorry I've had this experience, that they would have the team look into it within three days.. at this point they'd ask if there was anything else they could do for me.. then they immediately closed the chat so that i couldn't reply.. this happened 5 times before I gave up on the refund.. I went out to my car to see if I could find loose change or something! I broke down and sobbed uncontrollably, I was distraught, I've never been unable to feed my babies and it was the worst feeling I have ever experienced. I was so ashamed and dehumanised by the experience! My neighbour who is a total stranger, we've just moved in to a new house, saw me crying and came over to help. He actually gave me enough food for all of us. While I am eternally grateful to him for being generous and caring enough to help.
But I felt so ashamed, I wasn't able to feed my children!
After 5 days I emailed them because they still hadn't contacted me or refunded my money. They replied with the same response I received during the chat. I knew that I wasn't going to get my refund! I played along and explained the situation to another person and waited again. I got a reply saying they'd look into it.. blablabla I waited again and then I got this email that said if I didn't contact them within 48 hours they would end communications... I tried to reply no more than 24 hours after I received the email and suddenly the reply action was not available.. this guy followed the same script and then cut me off just like the others.
Last email I told them that I would be taking legal action if they failed to refund the money. I got the same scripted response again. So I tried to call and most of their phone numbers are actually phoney... eventually I found a number that worked. This guy was spewing the same scripted responses! I explained the whole thing and hoped that he'd help because he would have to listen and couldn't follow the script! He tells me that they've refunded $20 for three of the missing happy meals! I was furious! I told him I didn't get any refund and that my order was worth around $60... he said that I'd only reported the three happy meals.. suprise.. he cut me off... I actually screenshot the live chats because I was so disgusted by their inhumane responses to a single mother of six children who was begging for them to just get the food ordered for her children! I knew that I would need to keep the proof! The incredibly twisted irony is that deliveroo are a British company and we are an indigenous Australian family who has just been treated with such disrespect by this company that is located in Britain,
This is the same people who came to my country and killed my ancestors, stole children from my father's generation so they could give them to good church folk who sexualy abused these kids as well as change their names and taught them about British history while beating our own culture out of them. These people have been getting away with their crimes since before they ever come to Australia! They are evil people!
I'm putting my one star review because they won't let you leave a review unless you give a star.. so the star is literally bribery. They don't deserve a star, they deserve to be charged for their crime and forced to stop operating their corrupt company!
They have been told that I have screenshots of the conversations and emails to prove my case.
I'm not going to stop until everyone knows what they did and how little they cared about kids going without food! How hard would it have been to organise the food. That money is nothing to this company, but it was everything I had.
This cannot be allowed to happen to anyone else, no child should ever have to go without food! Heartless criminals!

Driver took a 30 minute detour and pizza ice cold - Deliveroo offered ~$5 compensation

My daughter ordered a pizza 17:45 and approx delivery time was 18:20. Driver picked up the pizza and was 5 mins away from my home. They then decided to drive to the next suburb to do God knows what before eventually turning up at my door at 19:00 with ice cold pizza. No explanation nothing. I paid $23.69 for the 1 pizza to be delivered. Contacted Deliveroo who offered my just over $5 compensation stating the goods can still be consumed. The pizza had ham on it! This is not acceptable as a full refund should be expected as this was not a traffic holdup etc but a deliberate move to be late by the driver. Deliveroo also asked me to rate the restaurant low and let them know it was the delivery? Huh?

This business is a scam

Deliveroo isn’t a food delivery service. They can’t be. They just rip people off and I never got my pizza. Apparently it was delivered at 1am but the shop was shut by 11pm so where did it go for 2 hours? And why didn’t they just leave my pizza at the door just like all the others? Their customer care is a farce. They just refuse to give u a refund cos their app said it was delivered. Absolute stupidity. This must be a front for some illegal activity cos they sure don’t care what their customers think. DONT WASTE UR TIME AND MONEY.

I could've flown Melbourne to…

I could've flown Melbourne to Queensland faster then it took to recieve my meal which is only 10 minutes up the road from me. Over 2 hours it took while on their app it said it would only take 30 to 45 minutes. This company is an absolute joke and suprise suprise the food was cold when it arrived to me.

Paid for order not received and…

Paid for order not received and deliveroo refuse to refund. Driver requested a 2 digit code via message chat which I provided and deliveroo say I’m not entitled to my food order or delivery because I provided the 2 digit code when the deliveroo driver requested it.

I’ve ordered a Chinese meal through Deliveroo.

I’ve ordered a Chinese meal through Deliveroo, I waited over 2 hours for my order then I rang Deliveroo to ask for my order and they told me they will ring the driver to get my order as soon as possible. Then I get a phone call from the driver asking me for my code number over the phone which it was unusual cause they usually come to my door then ask me for the code number and I thought that it must be something new so I gave him my code and he confirmed that he already delivered my order but he never did so I rang Deliveroo and told them that I never received my order and that the driver never came to my door if I can get a refund or a credit and they refused cause my order had been delivered so I told them that the driver asked me for the code number by phone but h never delivered my order, they told me that they can’t do anything about it, I asked them to call the driver and ask him where did they delivered my order, they said they tried to call him but the driver didn’t answered the phone. So not only I didn’t received my order, also didn’t get a refund or a credit, it cost me $56.58. I was so furious about the lack of customer service particular that I have been a regular customer for a longtime. I decided that I will never order anything from Deliveroo ever again.

Disappointing

Disappointing. 2 and a half hours after ordering we received our order.

Soggy, cold.

They need to fix their ordering system to ensure that if there are no drivers available then the restaurant shouldn't be available to order from.

If I was the restaurant owner, I'd be taking notice because it looks bad on you as well.

Terrible experience.

I decided to try out Deliveroo as I noticed one of the restaurants on there wasn't on other food delivery apps. My order arrived late (more than an hour) and there were missing and incorrect items. Using the help section for my order, resulted in a very small credit amount for the number of things that were wrong with my order. I am very disappointed with the experience I had. After this experience, I doubt I will be using Deliveroo again.

Absolutely appalling service

Absolutely appalling service. Got a message stating driver was outside. There was no one outside and no sign of a car. I provided simple easy to read instructions for the delivery driver to find my house. Customer service was useless when I reported my missing food. Not impressed.

Driver stole my food!

My second attempt at ordering on this app. Worse than my first attempt. The driver arrived 2 hours later than the pre-ordered time. Driver did not have wifi, so demanded to use mine. I certainly was NOT going to agree to this. He said that I needed to provide him with the two digit delivery code. I entered the code them walked off with my food order. Obviously, when he was able to get a wifi connection he confirmed the delivery. THE DEED WAS DONE! No way was Deliveroo going to entertain anything but the food was delivered as the two digit code had been confirmed. I was left speechless, food less and penny less. NEVER EVER ORDER FROM THIS APP. BE WARNED!

Ordered a meal from the restaurant…

Ordered a meal from the restaurant (huxtaburger prahran) from the Deliveroo App when they were still open. I waited over 1hour30mins for them to just cancel my order and I got nothing in return. Terrible communication from both the restaurant and the app, waste of time wouldn’t recommend.

Scammed by delivery rider

I ordered at KFC Everton Park and my order didn’t arrive! After two hours a delivery guy called ‘Lucas’ showed up without the food to tell me that the KFC is closed (I ordered two hours before closing time) and demanded the two digit code. I was confused and intimidated so I gave him the code, thinking that I surly would get a refund. Customer service couldn’t help me at all and only had standard one fits all answers! Deliveroo or the KFC staff should have canceled the order and not let me wait for two hours! Deleted the app, I will never order from Deliveroo again!

Disgusting and unreliable service!

Disgusting! Terrible! Unreliable service!

I ordered dinner at 5:30pm, ETA is 1 hour. 2.5 hours later, food has not arrived. My husband went to the restaurant to check and pick it up! I'm glad he did. Kaikai Chicken gave it him and said they have been waiting for Deliveroo to pick it up. The food was cold, we had to re heat it. Lots of time, money (delivery + service fee) and energy wasted. NEVER AGAIN!
