Problem with authentication because of a "server problem at the Digidentity side", request to contact them. However, they are unreachable by phone, answering machine says "maximum number of call-backs has been reached". And than refers to the chat. But the chat is only answered by a bot. This bot understands nothing. Very, very bad.
Have been used Digidentity for more than 5 years, their app seems to have communication issues with their server hence this causes tremendous amount of time-out sessions when we need to use their services. Not reliable at all. Customer service is only limited to AI bots, human interactions are not reachable at all. Highly NOT recommended if you cherish your time spent on administration.

Had to transfer the smartcard to a new phone, followed the instructions given by support and ended up with with new subscriptions (although the previous one were not expired) despite that support said it would not cost any money. I did reach out to both support and AR and both departments excel by non-reactions....

Unreachable by phone. I have an issue with payment of an invoice and sent email to financial departement. They hope to answer me back in appr. 2 weeks. I also gave my tel. nr., with request to call me, but I'm still waiting... I do definitely not recommend this company.

I had a very simple question that wasn't listed in their FAQ. When you call the support number, you'll get a few options, but then the recorded voice says: "We recommend sending an email as it's very busy." I'm fine with waiting for a support employee, but they just hang up on me after the notice. I thought I made a mistake, so I tried again, and it's just programmed to do this.
Would not recommend buying anything from this company.

I'm writing this review fueled by frustration and disappointment with Digidentity's service and their approach to customer care. Recently, I encountered a significant issue with their subscription model that I believe potential customers should be aware of.
Upon registering for their app, which is a necessity for many entrepreneurs conducting online business, I was unwittingly locked into a 5-year subscription without clear warning or explicit consent. The lack of transparency and choice in this process is alarming, to say the least.
Realizing the mistake, I reached out to their customer service, expecting understanding and a reasonable resolution. Instead, I received a response that was both dismissive and patronizing. The representative was quick to point the finger back at me, stating that it was my "duty" to inform myself about the obligations of my enterprise and implying that my lack of desire for the service post-purchase was irrelevant.
Furthermore, they hid behind the excuse that the “national cooling-off period” does not apply to business products like eHerkenning, which Digidentity offers. This technicality does nothing to address the core issue of entrapping customers into long-term commitments without clear consent.
To add insult to injury, the solution offered was a mere reduction to a one-year subscription for a fee, which, while lesser, still forces me to pay for a service I entered into under misleading pretenses.
This experience has not only soured my view of Digidentity but also highlighted a disturbing practice that prioritizes profit over customer rights and transparency. I strongly advise others to think twice before engaging with Digidentity. Their handling of subscription models and customer concerns is not only unethical but indicative of a broader disregard for customer satisfaction and fair practice.
Shame on Digidentity for their handling of this matter. Customers deserve better than to be trapped and then talked down to when seeking help.

Dear sirs, I called your helpdesk 8 times today and unfortunately I still get one "automatic reply that all our agents are busy and a request to send an e-mail.
As from last Wednesday I do not have access to Digidentity and as a consequence no acces to Dutch tax authorities. I send multiple emails to get feedback and unblock my account. Unfortunately I did not get any response today, is the company understaffed? How can I get into contact with Digidentity?
Terrible service. As per usual a government linked app which has been terribly developed and not tested.
Ive currently been sat on hold for 30 minutes trying to unblock my account. I need a DBS check before I start my new job next week and this service is toilet.
worst app i have ever used........wanted to throw myself out of a window,,,,so many attempts, it's utterly useless in every way. dont waste your time trying to use this app, god knows how to get a dbs check unless you pay 3 times the price from one of the other shocking companies out there!!!
I was struggling with the verification process. My account ended up getting blocked because I had too many attempts. A quick phone call to James, he was a major help in resetting my account and I eventually managed to get verified. Once again, thank you, James.
Needs a zero rating!
Stuck in a loop trying to add an existing account to my new mobile phone, keep getting through the steps to the account recovery code and once adding the correct code from the email, i'm instructed that there have been too many failed attempts at accessing the account, but then i'm back to the start of the loop again, surely the whole point of this process is to stop the failed attempts by resetting my access to it
DREADFUL service. Cannot even get past the account security protocol. Suggests contacting Suport team. The support team are not available. Cannot verify with GOV.Uk as they only have this as an option. Terrible
UPDATE. So given you don’t have much option but to use them. I found it worked better if I completed everything from my mobile. So the GOV.uk verify process and everything else all entirely mobile eventually worked. Just sharing this to save others the massive frustration I had struggling to complete this on my laptop.
I can’t really say too much about the app as I find technology a bit complicated but my 5 stars is for the Digidentity man at the other end of the line JAMES who was so patient with me and so helpful thank you James for helping me sort my DBS out well done
Puzzling that this app is the .gov.uk approved one. I put it on the phone, but it was so strange (e.g. it asks for your identity document), and as someone has pointed out, .eu, I decided to delete it. Having read the reviews below, I'm glad I did. The current UK administration seems to do so many dodgy dealings without proper control, it's probably best not to trust them too far with your data. I didn't get as far as trying to use it or contact the compnay, so can't comment further.
I have taken about 30 selfies and then 'no live movement' when I try to mirror the animation.

Absolutely shocking. The online help desk is a complete waste of time. The contact phone number just informs you that all operators are busy and cuts the line/call no matter what time you ring. I doubt it even has operators. Good luck scanning documents. What a joke of a company.
Just used this service and it seemed fine, scanned all documents and transferred me back to the Gov website straightaway, no problems at all.
