I was Viewed a property by Miss Amelia Hamilton , it was for a studio .. from the first instant she was very polite and approachable. Very informative about the property . helped me in answering all the question i had about the property.

Highly recommend Dixons estate agents to anyone! Especially first time renters/buyers!

Me and my partner was looking at renting our first home together, we was so uneducated and didn’t know what to expect but Dixons was a godsend!
I had my eye on a house in my childhood neighbourhood so I applied, not thinking that we’d actually get the house but we did!
We had 2 lovely lady’s helping us called Megan and holly and they both was amazing!! Megan showed us around the house and answered all questions for us, and holly was brilliant especially over the phone! I dread to think how many times I kept calling but holly always answered politely and answered all my questions. Definitely felt so comfortable with Dixons! Highly recommend!

After falling on tough times and having to sell our family home and to buy a new house of my own everyone at castle Bromwich estate agents were amazing and done all they could to help me with making the situation a lot easier, with a couple houses falling through Ellie, della, Luan and Vijay helped me find a new house and was so helping and professional through it all I couldn’t thank these guys enough for what they had done for me on selling and finding a new property, I’m looking forward to starting my new chapter with my young family again guys thank you isn’t enough, you are worth you weight in gold as employees.

The 3 bedroom on Hengham road is simply awesome and l love the property. Aside from the fact that it is situated in a beautiful environment, it's closeness to my child's school as well as my place of work makes it the right apartment for my family.

Absolutely pathetic service. Rang and left several messages without any response . They haven’t got the basic levels of customer service to even pick up the phone. If that’s their ethos then stay away from them .

The contract was explained to me and the whole team Chloe ,Laylah and Micheal answered my question promptly. I asked them to communicate by text or phone, so they did instead of emails,which for me are bit difficult.Thanks to ALL .

I let out my flat with Dixons in December 2022 as I was not able to get a new tenant myself. They were initially responsive to get my business, and did get a tenant into the property. After that things immediately went downhill.

I signed up for the 'fully managed' property management service at Dixons in Selly Oak. I had some minor repairs reported by a tenant (hole in wall needed plastering, bath sealant replacing and some rust on bathroom mirror). I advised the work be done by a contractor and Dixons came back quoting £800! Unable to go through with such a ridiculous quote, I did the work myself costing £30 and 1 hour of my time. I was amazed that Dixons did not check the quote at all, and did not visit the property.

They then double-charged me the tenant sign-on fees (the first tenant they found did not even stay a month) but did not tell me they were charging twice, I had to tell them and then chase and nag for my refund for 3 months.

It also took over 1 month of chasing just to have them send me the tenancy agreement and relevant paperwork.
At this point I stopped seeing any value in the service - it was much easier when I managed the property myself, Dixons just made things much harder and more expensive.

Please do not sign up to this service expecting your property management to be easier or cheaper. My experience with Dixons has transformed my view on property management and I regret signing up to this. I have had to physically go the the branch to get them to do anything.

UPDATE Dec 2023 - The nightmare continues. I've been trying to retrieve the deposit back from Dixons but the senior branch manager has no clue how this works and even told me to protect the deposit that I am not holding! After over 2 months of chasing, and over 50 emails, and several phone calls, I finally got the tenant their deposit back.

It's absolutely laughable that I got Dixons involved to make property management easier - it has been one of the worst experiences I've ever had being a landlord. I'm glad I got out when I did or it would have been a financial disaster too.

The team at Dixons selly oak have been amazing from the first meeting with Amelia, the viewings with Becky and Amy and the final negotiations done by Claire.
They are a lovely team and managed to sell my house when I have previously been on with 2 other agents, very proactive and kept me informed at all times;

Selling houses is stressful. Except for Dixon's Yardley who are quite frankly mad for it. Faye will list your home and get a buyer and Zoe will hand-hold, trouble-shoot, metaphorically bang heads together and keep everything on track

Instructed Dixons last year to sell my dad's house. Really hard to get hold of anyone, continually had to chase for updates, felt completely let down by them and their lack of customer service. Avoid!

Very unimpressed with Dixons service in our recent house sale. First buyer they found wanted a buy-to-let mortgage but couldn’t get one so dropped out. We then dropped the price of our property for a quick sale, as we had already committed to an onward purchase, and we got 5 good offers as a result. Despite telling us that they were ‘working for us’ and that ‘the highest offer isn’t necessarily the best one to take’ Dixons proceeded to go with the highest offer - without even asking us if we were happy with that - a client who we soon realized had no real intention of going through with the purchase and we asked them to move on to the next highest offer. Dixons refused, saying we needed to “give him time” even though, after having been approved for his mortgage he had refused to sign it off saying that he wanted to view the property once more, which should have started alarm bells ringing for them too given that we had already expressed our concerns that he would not proceed with the purchase. Another week went by with him ignoring requests to come in and complete the paperwork before he finally admitted he wasn’t going to proceed, as we had suspected all along that he wouldn’t. Only then did Dixons try to contact the other 4 people who had made offers but, with more than three weeks having now passed, they were unsuccessful in contacting any of them. Then, they recommended an investor of theirs, presumably out of desperation to complete their target of finding ‘a buyer’ so they could claim their fees, who said he would purchase but at a much lower price than it was advertised for. Because we didn’t want to lose our onward purchase we reluctantly agreed to sell to him but, had Dixons ‘worked for us’ as they claimed to do, and acted on our request to move on to other clients we would likely have sold the property for a lot more. Often, email questions we asked about the process went unanswered and then, two days after we finally moved, we received a phone call from Dixons sales progressor asking when we were going to drop off the keys as the buyer was waiting to gain access. We had to explain that we had dropped off the keys and deeds on the day of completion. We were somewhat dismayed that she had called us without first checking with the other staff if we had brought them in. Because of their handling of our sale we feel like we were cheated out of tens of thousands of pounds. We certainly won’t ever use Dixons again and wouldn’t recommend anyone else do either.

Moved into a tenancy recently managed by Dixons Yardley. The property management team are very professional especially Sharon Allen and Harry Richards, who have been very helpful and prompt with their responses.
