Ripped me off
Ripped me off!
They took my deposit and then refused to give me it back when we didn't get the property - said I provided misleading information when that was absolute rubbish! Bunch of thieves - don't go near them
Poor
Not happy with the service provided by Dixons for our house sale. At the outset they told us that they were "working for us" and that "the highest offer isn't necessarily the best one to take". Yet, after receiving five good offers for our property, we were pushed to go with the highest one, from a client who it was obvious to us was a timewaster yet, when we suggested moving on to the next offer they told us we should give the client the opportunity to complete his paperwork. He later pulled out of the purchase and by then the other four people who had offered had either found something else or didn't reply to enquiries and because we were in a hurry to move as we had already committed to another purchase, we ended up having to sell to one of their recommended investors, at a loss of around £40,000. Staff often didn't respond to emails and trying to call them was very hit and miss. Definitely would not use Dixons ever again.
Excellent Estate Agent
The best house viewing I have been to so far.

Disgusting Company! - AVOID!!
I Wouldn't even give this place 1 stars!
They are the rudest estate agents iv had to deal with (Selly Oak Branch), iv recently just moved out of a property which I rented through Dixons & id definitely AVOID now if I was going to rent again . Timothy Reynolds was nothing but rude about me leaving threatening extra charges for leaving the property as he couldn't be botherd to read my tenancy agreement and see that under the break clauses I ended my tenancy in the correct way. All he cares about is getting his commission at the end of the day from there over priced properties. Daniella Lawmon also rude from this branch, questioning me about why I was leaving the property & also trying to threaten me with additional charges which where NOT in my agreement. They don't push the landlord on getting any repairs done they just fob you off on the phone with aload of rubbish to make sure you keep paying that rent every month so they get their commission!!. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!
Worst estate agent I’ve ever had the…
Worst estate agent I’ve ever had the misfortune to employ. They were completely uncontactable. The same day our house went up for sale, it sold for over the asking price. We had no chain, buyer wanted to move really quickly, it was a slam dunk you think, nice easy commission for Dixons? Nope, this was May, our buyer wanted to move in July. We finally got in touch with the agent in June and he hadn’t even called her. Needless to say we lost our sale. My feeling is that they probably will put in the work if your house is £1mil, if it’s less, don’t bother with them. This was the Shirley, Solihull branch just FYI
Fake electrical certificate was given when bought a house through Dixons in Yardley
Bought a property through Dixons has a first time buyer and even decided to use David Smith for my Mortgage and I can say what a lovely man he is, he did all the hard work and running around, kept me updated at all times right until I had my house keys so thank you to him, will definitely be using him again and recommending him to all. When initially putting an offer on the house, I felt when it came to the price Zoe was playing on the fact I really liked the house and wanted it and so games were being played and I ended up paying £5k over the asking price which I really regret because when moving into the house, I found so many problems. When I spoke to Zoe about dodgy Electric work with a fake certificate given, she ignored it and said she can't do anything, even thou the person who sold the property is well known to Dixons. Highly advise everyone to paid and get a survey completed and not just rely on the Bank to theirs. Elite Properties LTD is the company that's sells house through Dixons with fake electric certificates.
Dixons Yardley
Dixons Yardley
I sold my late mom’s property through this Dixons Branch and have to say that the sales team - Faye, Zoe & Naomi have been absolutely amazing throughout the whole of my experience, very friendly, caring, approachable as well as completely professional - it has been a real pleasure & I would totally 100% recommend!! You are top notch assets to the Branch - thank you so much.
Kings Norton Branch
I highly recommend anyone who’s looking to buy their future home, to go to the Kings Norton branch. From the start Korron and Amelia made me feel like I was family. Korron was with me every step of the way and help guide me on this amazing journey. She alway went above and beyond for me. Even going into work on her days off to help things so as smoothly as possibly. And for that I am truly grateful. Feel as though I have met friends for life. Thank you so much x
Do not rent from Dixons!
Do not rent from Dixon! I am currently suffering because of their lies. When viewing the property, Amber (Yardley branch) assured me certain issues would be fixed. She then called.me to say they had been. As soon as I moved in I realised she had lied. The shower floods and the kitchen has a leak which is now flooding the floor. It has been 2 weeks since I reported it, still nothing from countrywide. Avoid Dixon, Countrywide and save yourself future hassle.

Avoid renting from them!
Rented flat - Longley Walk, Chelmsley Wood.
My partner rented a flat from Dixons for 12 months, on check-in the property had various marks and smudges and was far from pristine condition. I myself have worked in property lettings for 11 years and I deal with all aspects from check in, check out and releasing deposits on a daily basis, so I know exactly what is and is not acceptable. The flat had tiny electric wall heaters that were not wired in and did nothing to heat the flat, these heaters were not mentioned on the EPC as it had Blown air heating when it was carried out and would mostly likely fail a new EPC, you could see your breath in the flat it was that cold. Various repairs and the poor heating was reported to Dixons many times and even mentioned during an inspection but nobody ever got back to him even when he called up to chase. Before check out myself, my partner and his parents cleaned the flat, it was left in a cleaner condition than when he moved in. He then received an email from Dixons to say the landlord would like £190 towards cleaning. The deposit was on the insured scheme where the landlord holds the deposit and pays a membership to insure it with MyDeposits, this means MyDeposits always sit in favor of the landlord as they are the paying member not the tenant. With this in mind we disputed the deposit and sent photographic evidence of the cleaning and condition plus the emails shared, the deposit should have been released in full but they still took £145 of it and awarded the landlord. My advice is avoid renting from Dixons and always avoid signing up for a deposit on an insured scheme, the tenant will never be in a fair position.

Yardley branch outstanding
Used the Yardley branch to sell our property. We started discussing possibility of selling about 6 months ago but still had reservations as we hadn't decided when we wanted it to go on the market. Faye from Yardley branch was amazing, she kept in touch with us regularly and when we were ready to sell, she made the whole process so easy for us. Naomi from the same branch arranged viewings and she was so friendly and professional. We ended up with a serious buyer within 3 days of the house going on the market. Faye and Naomi are definitely an asset to the Yardley branch.
Do not use you will lose they house…
Do not use you will lose they house purchase if buying with a mortgage they are slow and sly. They will charge you 600 upfront and keep asking stupid questions and get personal. Bearwood branch b66
Disgusting service
I have tried to contact Dixons on several occasions left messages no one has ever called me back. I did an experiment and called each of the 20 branches and all of them went to answer machine.
Absolutely disgusting service. It's ok for them at the moment because the market is booming but watch this space when they need your custom. I am an investor buying and selling houses all the time, I would NEVER use them to market my properties
KINGS HEATH BRANCH DIXONS
KINGS HEATH BRANCH DIXONS
Avoid at all costs.
I have never come across a bunch of lazy incompetent clowns in the years of buying and selling properties.
They do not and will not get back to you, all you get is an answer machine, will not progress any offers, how and why this company is still in business, I will never know?, shame on you Kings Heath Branch, you know in particular who this is referring to!….‘Talk the Talk….but has no idea how to ‘Walk the Walk’, waste of space, hang your hat up buddy and let the professionals do the job properly, rant over🤬
