Disgusting Customer Service

Had a viewing booked today, got there 10 minutes early and stood outside for 20 minutes waiting and no one showed up! Called and emailed but no answer or explanation. Disgusting service, wasted time and petrol money too.

Stay away from Dixons Bearwood

Sorry this review is delibrately long to give you an accurate and full picture!

My experience with this agency in particular the Bearwood (Birmingham) branch was a terrible one, they functioned like a systematic gang working together with the landlord and checkout inspector to rip me off on multiple occasions, systematic because my post-experience incentive and the fabricated evidence during deposit dispute suggested that they work with third parties (such as cleaners and checkout inspectors) to rip off tenants. This should not be acceptable in a responsible society like UK and should be treated unlawful like theft.

Their reputation with everyone who rented from them is lamental. You are guaranteed to regret renting from this agency. Please stay away!!! This kind of businesses only deserve to learn the conduct of decency in the hard way, that is to drown in debts and thereby close down permanently.

On the day of viewing when I decided to submit the holding deposit I caught their first attempt to rip me off for the amount of £350 on papers that had to be scrapped upon digging to enquire about its source, and all the explanation they gave was a calculation mistake.

During the period of tenancy their circle of communication to approve and get an essential fixing done is an infinite loophole, they basically exhaust you to give up asking instead go and fix it by yourself for which you are later to be fined too since they will treat it as a deviation from the inventory report. Yes! You understood correctly!

Stage 1 (The Good)
The agency officials played as the front bench "gang" by displaying to be nice and on my side, and convincing me to believe and listen to their recommendations for example I hired their nominated cleaner at the time of moving out. Subsequently arranged with their nominated check out inspector, basically they played it such that I followed their advice to the letter. After I moved out and handed in the keys, they completely abandon to communicate and cooperate with me regarding the deposit.

Stage 2 (The Bad)
The bad one is the check out inspector who filled the document from made up lies nothing inline with the original inventory report.

Stage 3 (The Ugly)
This was my landlord first attempted to refuse responding to my deposit enquiries until I had to raise dispute. Then he comes back with falsely fabricated documents and invoices claiming nearly 5 times more money than my original deposit. (Don't worry this time they met the wrong guy, the landlord learnt his lesson and I recovered my deposit!)

But please watch out and take this review into your serious consideration before deciding to rent from Dixons Bearwood, unless you want to experience a guaranteed regret.

They work for the landlord!

The sided with the landlord all the way through. Only heard from them when they attempted to collect more fees from me- with or without valid reason; when I asked them to prompt the landlord to do his part of the maintenance, the stepped back and became evasive. Disgraceful!

AVOID AVOID AVOID DIXONS LICHFIELD

Viewed a property with animal faeces in the garden, patched up decking which was perished to a state your foot goes through and hazardous, open food and mould left in the fridge very unhygienic, damaged flooring, damaged blinds, paintwork which can only be described as a child with a paint roller has tried to hide the dirt of years from an un-invested property combined with a stench of cigarette smoke and is a disgrace to be marketed.......currently marketed even today as: Make sure you snap this property up! A beautifully presented three bedroom town house in a popular area of Fradley. This Lichfield estate agent gives the estate agency business the poor reputation that should have been stamped out decades ago. Zero understanding and a terrible experience.

Absolutely unprofessional

Absolutely unprofessional, can barely get a hold of them over the phone, don't respond to email enquiries. After finally managing to get through to them and book a viewing they rescheduled twice then told me the night before the viewing was cancelled because someone had made an offer. I was one of the first to book a viewing of the property so what could of happened in between?

Excellent service from Paul Orme and the team at Dixons Yardley!!

We have dealt with Paul Orme and his team at Dixons Yardley previously and they were faultless so when we decided to sell our rental property we knew we had to contact Paul. We received a valuation with 24 hours and had an agreed sale within 72 hours - now that is service!! Amazing as always and highly recommended! One very happy customer!

Excellent service in difficult times

Ian Walker of Dixons has been excellent throughout quite a complex flat sale. Despite all the complications of COVID and the fact that at one point we had to withdraw the property from sale due to uncertainty about the owner's health, a good and realistic price was obtained. Ian steered us through the process and was very helpful

I approached Dixons with the…

I approached Dixons with the unfortunate belief and opinion of being a highly reputable leading hight street brand able to produce a property market appraisal local to the Dixons branch. Upon meeting the particular agent; Ricky Reynolds of the Warwick Road, Acocks Green, Birmingham B27 6RG, branch, I was very disappointed with the lack of market knowledge presented. Moreover, I felt a very disconnect to facilitate the customer needs. I still await after three weeks for them to produce a market appraisal and sellers fee proposal, after chasing them a second time, I feel it should be up to the branch to follow up their own enquiries and customer leads. It is a big shame on Dixons such a national brand and to also learn Ricky@Dixons is a branch manager - responsible for letting down potential custom and the company’s name going down the drain. Sorry - but their are plenty of other company’s who are greatly obliging and pro to their name. Time is precious for all and not following up from your own execution of home visits, then I would suggest a further rigorous solution to qualify inquiries is in need. Henceforth, at the Acocks Green branch, I would consider, vast training is required. For all other potential customers reading this; if you are requiring a greatly improved service, always try the neighbouring competition of estate agents on Warwick Road.

Lucienne Nicholls

Lucienne Nicholls was our letting negotiator. Despite lockdown she got us a house we love and got things moving quickly and efficiently explaining everything along the way. Since being in the house she is still on hand to answer any questions we have. I would certainly recommend Dixon’s for lettings based on my experience

Well done Halesowen

Would like to thank Matt Till From Halesowen Branch wholeheartedly for his attentiveness and understanding during a very difficult time whilst we were going through our move during last few months. Due to the virus everything took a lot longer than normally would but he ensured that all involved were advised often and he never failed to follow up and to keep us informed. Would highly recommend him and the rest of the team. We sold two properties at the same time one a deceased relative and our own personal home for which only really interested parties came to view and both sold in 2 days.
Everything ground to a halt which was very stressful but in return to some normality the attentiveness if Matt Till assisted greatly in us achieving completion on both which enabled our purchase to complete too. We are now happily settled after a very difficult 6 months

Dixons are one of the worst estate…

Dixons are one of the worst estate agents going. Nobody ever seems to know what they’re doing and pass you from person to person. Everyone is miserable and unfriendly. Extremely difficult to reach all of the time.

Had a survey booked in... they didn’t even bother to show up. Contacted them, they had no real reason, said they’d call back, never did.

Was also interested in purchasing a property which was a disaster. Couldn’t get hold of anyone. Nobody got back. Went in, again nobody had a clue what they were doing, passed from one clueless employee to the other... all of which were miserable and clearly didn’t want to be there.

Avoid at all costs. Unprofessional, poor communications and frankly a shambles.

Mr Mohammed Salim

Mr. David Lockwood and Mr. Andrew Thornhill are very unprofessional, desperately seeking gains even if it means throwing the local community under the bus. They have no interest to work with the locals, they sweep in and bully the locals. Its disgusting and unacceptable.

Dixons Wolverhampton - Worst estate agents ever know - AVOID

Dixons Wolverhampton - Worst estate agents I have ever known as a landlord - AVOID. As landlord I expect professional and honest service especially when premium service fee charged.

To start with the tenancy has not been fully triggered; landlord’s signature (i.e. me) were pending and the keys were passed over to the tenant in rush. There is still shortfall in rent collected and actual rent agreed on tenancy agreement and its 8 months now, also still fully signed correct tenancy agreement is still pending.

Overcharged estate’s agent service fee for couple of months and it took far too much efforts to correct it, also their corporate compliant department is absolutely joke.

Worst, their local branch keeps sending surprise charges, fees every other month.

I don’t blame other landlords shunning traditional estate agents of these kind and moving towards online or take on this task themselves.
