I agree with all the comments made by other reviewers. Now only 500g instead of 620g or 650g, I think, & at the same price. What a cheek! Some of the ingredients seem to have changed as well. I buy alternatives now. Someone always has to come along & re-invent the wheel. The profits these companies make is a disgrace

Hi,this is the first time I have ever expressed my dissatisfaction at a change of product re. food.
I have been buying the green box of muesli for past few years and looked forward to it every morning. Its the box that was 630g in weight and called simply fruity-I think.
It has disapeared from my supermarket and it appears been replaced by something similar that says its suitable for vegans and also fruity.
However, the new box tastes like I imagine bird food tastes like-its poor, and the quality of the fruit is rubbish.
Also,it has a net weight of 500G and is being sold for same or similar price.
Why have you ditched something that was so nice for bird-seed and then also cut the weight down.
Now,I am buying Tesco's own which is next best thing, but not as nice as original product.
Sack whoever is responsible and change it back please.

Tasteless bowl of dust! I used to love the Simply Delicious blue box Dorset cereal but now it is a tasteless bowl of dust - no dried fruit to speak of, no nuts, and oat flakes replaced by cheap, hard brown wheat pellets. I’ve never seen a rebrand like it - they will surely have to rethink this as no one will buy this. It’s revolting.
I got a really silly reply from their customer service people saying I could ask them which cereal now tastes more like the old one I liked - what? Makes no sense at all …
Plus a few years ago I found a nose guard from someone’s glasses in my simply delicious cereal that broke my tooth. In fairness they did eventually resolve that but you have to wonder what on earth is going at Dorset Cereals. They’ve definitely lost me as a customer !
Loved Simply Nutty Museli for years, as someone who doesn't like raisins or sultanas - it was a delicious combo of nuts, oats and dates and a brilliant start to the day. Very disappointed it's been discontinued, none of the new formulations appeal.

Seems I’m not alone. Countless happy days looking forward to a bowl of Simply Fruity have come to an end.
The equivalent Fantastically Fruity’s name implies it might contain more fruit than its predecessor - but it’s a bowl of disappointment.
After purchasing 3 varieties of Dorset cereals and really enjoying them for a long time, I have to say what in earth have you done?
The simply fruity muesli, which was really oaty and fruity now has a ‘fake’ sweet taste and is packed full of toasted flakes. Yuk.
While I do understand that brands have to reinvent themselves to remain competitive and I could also forgive the package reduction to keep in line with food cost increases, but it hike the price up as well? None of that would bother me if it was the old recipe.
Please bring it back!
For anyone looking for similar, the Sainsburys berry taste the difference is similar to the berrylicious Dorset old flavour. (Not as good but similar). I am yet to find a replacement for the simply fruity, but will not be returning to Dorset until they bring back the old version.
What rubbish! Bought the fruit and nut... Purple box. Have purchased this several times and each time the raisins are so hard they have to be removed and discarded for fear of losing a tooth... They don't soften in milk, they're just lethal. I don't know what is happening with this brand, but it certainly isn't for the better. I'll be sticking with my supermarket own brand in future... Much nicer, No hard raisins, and a good 50% cheaper
Complete range change. No clue as to what is equivalent to the muesli I’ve loved for years. Why would any company do something so stupid and alienate its existing customer base? I’ve gone for Waitrose muesli now - much better value.
Very disappointed at the discontinuation of Simply Nutty - perfect for those who, like me, dislike raisins/sultanas. Now you appear to have no raisin/sultana-free options, I will be abandoning Dorset after many years.

I have been enjoying Dorset Gloriously Nutty Muesli for as long as I can remember, what is going what has happened to the nuts and fig pieces? I have noticed a slow decline in the overall Quality of the product. When on offer I noticed how inferior the product was and now again since re packaging and new formula it is just not the same, very powdery, few nuts no flavour and poor quality. Iwill not be buying again.

I have been buying Simply Delicious Muesli for years. However since the change of product, I will no longer be buying anything from your company. You have changed a product and reduced the size from 650g to 500g. While increasing the price from £3 odd to £4.50. The quality of the replacement product tastes like sawdust, and you have ruined your products, and lost another customer. By the looks of your trustpilot reviews, you have lost a lot.
I emailed your company about the changes and you did not respond. It’s clear you actually don’t care and only care about profits and ripping off your loyal customers with your new substandard product.
Change it back or I fear you will be going
Bust very soon

The muesli is not nearly as good as it was. I’ve eaten it for many years, but I will not be buying it again. It is a pity. What was once a good brand has really gone downhill.
Also, it’s probably a commercial mistake. I can foresee Dorset cereals losing half the market.

What a shame, to take a great brand and a great product and trash it. Were they hoping no one would notice, do they care about nothing but profit? I have just been googling what’s going on with Dorset, as I have treated myself to a small sprinkle of Honey Granola on my yoghurt for years and I loved it. I was willing to pay the quite high cost because it was so delicious. The last few weeks have felt like chewing a mouthful of cardboard and I won’t be buying it any more. What are the new owners thinking? Their loyal customers will desert them, and they are unlikely to attract many new ones at this price point. Strange and sad, but at least it’s finally spurred me on to make my own granola.
Simply Nutty ingredients comparison speaks for itself:
new:
Wholegrain OAT Flakes, Wholegrain Toasted WHEAT Flakes (22%), Nuts (Whole & Sliced ALMONDS (9%), CASHEW pieces (5%), Chopped Roasted HAZELNUTS (3%)), Barley Flakes, Raisins, Wholegrain WHEATFlakes.
old:
Wholegrain Oat Flakes, Chopped Dates (19%), Barley Flakes, Wholegrain Toasted WheatFlakes, Wholegrain Wheat Flakes, Nuts [Chopped Roasted Hazelnuts (2.5%), Whole Almonds (2.5%), Chopped Brazil Nuts (1.5%)], Sunflower Seeds (2.5%).
Downgrade in quality, done sneakily. After many years as a loyal customer I have lost trust in this brand. The new much worse quality doesn't warrant the price.
So disappointed with the changes!!! Why fix something that wasn’t broken? I really dislike the new branding as well. The new recipes are inferior in taste and I definitely don’t trust the ingredient list as much as I used to. The simple ingredients were the main reason I bought Dorset cereals over other brands. So so disappointed, I’m planning to make my own granola and myself from now on as no brand can seem to get it right without adding loads of rapeseed or sunflower oil and tonnes of sugar. Sad to see these changes.
Long time customer here. Blatant and foolish recent cheap reformulation and simultaneous shinkflation. M&S better quality and £3 cheaper per kilo.

Dorset Cereals until recently were easily the best muesli brand available in the UK and I have enjoyed all of their products for years. Bizarrely the entire range was given a complete reboot a few months ago and I'm sorry to say the new ranges taste cheap and inferior. In particular Fantastically Fruity is completely unrecognisable. Delicious plums, oats and roasted pecans replaced with cheap sugary generic tropical fruits and cheap wheat and barley grain. The new Gloriously Nutty and the Fruit and Nut range also taste cheap and generic. I have switched to a supermarket own brand berry muesli which costs significantly less and is of far superior quality. This is one of the most bizarre and misguided brand reboots I have ever seen.

I have been buying Dorset Cereals for years. Recently, the Muesli I buy disappeared from my store shelf for a few weeks only to return rebranded, smaller and with inferior ingredients. They have stolen a day’s breakfast from me - I now get 6 portions a week instead of 7!
I will now look for a replacement breakfast cereal.
Thumbs down for taking away Simply Delicious museli. I’ve been buying this for years. The replacement in the same colour box is not for me.
