Worst Audi Centre in the UK
An utterly disgraceful experience with Audi Epsom — one that reflects a complete failure in both product integrity and customer care.
I purchased a 2021 Audi A3 under the Approved Used scheme, reasonably expecting the level of quality and reliability synonymous with a premium brand. Instead, at a mere 29,000 miles ( the car is 4.5 years old) the entire 5F system — a critical and integral component — has catastrophically failed. The response? A staggering £5,000 repair quote, or a casual suggestion to seek a third-party fix for £2,000, all while offering absolutely no goodwill or accountability.
What makes this even more indefensible is that prior to failure, the screen was noticeably overheating — a clear warning sign of an underlying issue. Yet Audi Epsom have conveniently claimed they are “unable to fully investigate” the cause, while still expecting full payment. This contradiction is as unacceptable as it is telling.
For a marque that trades on engineering excellence and customer trust, this level of product failure at such low mileage is inexcusable. The complete absence of responsibility or support only compounds the issue.
To make matters worse, a genuine review of this experience was removed on the basis that it was not initially written directly by me — a convenient technicality used to suppress legitimate criticism rather than address it. That alone speaks volumes about how this business handles transparency.
This experience has not only cost them a fiercely loyal customer and my entire family — all long-time Audi owners — but has also ensured that I will never consider purchasing an Audi again. A premium badge means nothing when the service behind it is so profoundly lacking.
My recent experience with Audi Approved Epsom has moved from disappointing to utterly unacceptable.
Upon collecting my vehicle, I was presented with a car that had not even been washed—an astonishingly basic failure of preparation. I was then told that the team “didn’t know” I would be picking the car up. This is simply untrue. Alex Perry had been informed in advance, and to suggest otherwise only compounds the lack of accountability on display.
In a move that is as baffling as it is careless, the vehicle’s system language had been changed to Chinese. While perhaps intended as a trivial adjustment, it demonstrates a complete lack of attention to detail and respect for the customer experience. Ironically, Mandarin happens to be one of several languages I speak—but that is entirely beside the point.
Most alarming of all, the airbag warning light has now appeared. This is not cosmetic; it signals a potential safety system malfunction—commonly associated with faulty seat sensors, damaged wiring, a defective clock spring, or a failing control module. In other words, the vehicle has been returned to me in a condition that is not only worse than before, but potentially unsafe.
To add insult to injury, after having the car in their possession for three weeks, they returned it with a low key battery warning—an issue that takes minutes to resolve and yet was evidently deemed too much trouble. It perfectly encapsulates the level of care and attention applied throughout this entire process.
What should have been a straightforward service interaction has instead become a case study in negligence, miscommunication, and disregard for even the most basic standards. I expect immediate and serious attention to these issues.

We purchased our first Audi - consistent issues lack of communication post sale
We purchased our first Audi — a 2020 Audi e-tron — from Drift Bridge Audi in Epsom in September 2025. The initial sales experience was positive overall, and the process of trading in our previous car was straightforward, although there was some pressure to purchase additional add-ons.
Unfortunately, shortly after collecting the vehicle, we experienced our first issue: a fault with the wing mirror camera. The dealership resolved this under warranty and provided a courtesy car without any problems.
However, since that initial repair, the vehicle has been plagued by ongoing issues and has returned to the dealership numerous times. These include:
• Nearside wing mirror/camera fault (replaced shortly after purchase)
• Persistent water ingress, first reported in November
• Sloshing noise inside the cabin (later attributed to a blocked drain, cleared on 26/01)
• Water staining to the headlining around the sunroof following drainage work
• Offside wing mirror/camera now intermittently faulty
• Signs of poor-quality previous bodywork repairs (overspray on the front bumper and missing trim)
• Excessive wind/road noise from the nearside front passenger door
• Vehicle entering fault mode on two occasions, rendering it undriveable
• Offside charging port has stopped working entirely since January
• Vehicle intermittently failing to turn on, leaving us stranded — with advice simply to “turn it off and on again”
In addition to the vehicle faults, our experience with courtesy cars has been frustrating. While our car has been in the workshop for extended periods, we have been repeatedly asked to return courtesy vehicles at short notice because they were part of the dealership’s sales stock and had been sold. This has caused significant inconvenience, requiring us to rearrange replacement vehicles. On one occasion, a “new” courtesy car was delivered with an engine warning light already present.
Given the frequency and seriousness of these issues — particularly water ingress, electrical faults, and evidence of prior repairs — we have completely lost confidence in the vehicle as a safe and reliable family car. We have requested either a return of the vehicle or, at minimum, an extended warranty to cover the duration of our finance agreement.
Despite multiple follow-ups via email and phone, communication has been poor, with little sense of ownership or resolution. The car has recently been returned to us after further investigation, although issues still persist, including a fault with the driver’s side camera.
We chose to support a local dealership and expected a premium experience from Audi. Unfortunately, based on our experience, we would not purchase another vehicle from this dealership — or the brand — again. I rarely leave reviews, but I feel it is important to share this experience so others do not encounter the same issues.

Appalling buying experience
Avoid buying from Drift Bridge Audi Main Agent if you want a decent buying experience. Worse than poor customer service during sale of £18k car. The car had a tyre that was almost completely worn on the outside edge but had 3.5mm in the middle. On talking to the sales manager, called over by the salesperson, he disputed the fact the tyre did not meet the required standards and, instead of discussing a sensible reduction, got very shirty and stated 'I don't have to sell you the car and you don't have to buy it!'. A sign on the wall stated the MOT on used cars should have at least six months remaining. Checking the details, the car had only three months remaining. Having driven two hours to collect the car, assuming an Audi Main Agent would perform checks properly before arrival, it was irritating to say the least to get into an argument about a tyre and to have to point out the company was not even meeting their own advertised standards for used car sales. We were left with no faith at all in the workshop, were stunned by the arrogance and rudeness of the sales manager, and had the worst buying experience we have ever had. After unnecessarily stressful discussion the sales manager offered £150 discount to cover the contribution towards a new tyre and to pay for an MOT. The offer was made for the garage to do these but having driven two hours to collect the car, and not wanting to have another four hour round trip, the decision to accept the £150 was made. Apparently the possibility of the four hour trip was, according to the sales manager, 'your problem not mine!'. Fingers crossed the car is OK. I would not rust their workshop at all, so the MOT result will be interesting. Avoid this garage if you have any alternative! We only continued due to the investment we'd already made in time.
I have never encountered such an arrogant sales manager so please, when you send your standard response to poor reviews, don't bother to ask to talk to me or my son if you are the sales manager concerned.

Nick from sales went above and beyond to support me through the process of purchasing a new car after my car had been stolen. He was patient, understanding and empathetic to the stress I was experiencing. Nick provided me with a myriad of options and did not pressure me at any point to make a decision. He is an absolute credit to Drift Bridge. Thank you again for helping me out.

Everything went so smoothly
Everything went so smoothly, from initial contact to vehicle pick-up. Sales Executive Agi was very efficient, practical and personable throughout the entire transaction, and even followed up with a phone call the on the second day after purchase to make sure everything was ok with the car. The only hiccup was that car pick-up was delayed by a day because the front brake disc pads needed replacing as a precautionary safety measure, for which I am most grateful. All-in-all, purchasing from Drift Bridge was a hassle-free experience. Many thanks to all involved!
