Worst products out… Fabric pods (intense black) isn’t permanent, starts fading after a couple of washes & makes clothes look worse than before I dyed them… Also Dylan Dark detergent doesn’t even work... See more

ruined my white shorts and it was…
ruined my white shorts and it was supposed to be black but they turned out blue and some part aren’t even covered even tho I spent half my day and money on it so disappointed.
Dylon Company will not offer you support with the pfoduct. Be aware before dying your item
I bought the black dylon to refresh and colour a white top that I had.
I followed the instructions for use and the top was well under the specified weight for dying.
The top came out of the machine a very dirty grey.
I contacted the dylon company and completed their very lengthy form and sent additional pictures
There respense was because the label was not clearly visible they were unable to offer any support or guidance.
From the form that you have to complete they want to know how old the washing machine is ,is it front or top loader ,does it have a dryer with it.
The form is so comprehensive if it had not been that reason they would have come up with another reason not to support and guide the customer to help.
So buyer really beware that this company are happy to take your money but lack the customer service vision to help.
Terrible
Terrible, thought I would my transform my white cotton duvet case to a soft Sandy Beige. I've been left with a dirty pink, speckled blue?!! tie dye looking duvet set.

Avoid avoid avoid ruined 2 sets of items, they offered me 30 pounds refund and then asked for every personal detail under the sun, GDPR gone wrong, won’t use again, terrible experience

I purchased Dylon pre dye for dark colours to enable me to change dark grey throw to light grey and it came out khaki green.
ABSOLUTE CRAP!
I used this fabric Dye to die a hoodie a darker black and some faded black shorts. I did the process in the washing machine and it did absolutely NOTHING!
What a complete waste of money.
Disaster do not use this dye at all
Disaster do not use this dye at all. Ruined my fabric by turning it into an ugly tie dye mess. Awful and now I’ve wasted not only the money on the dye but also the money I spent on the fabric. DO NOT USE.
DO NOT DO IT!!!
DO NOT DO IT!!!!
I specifically found this site to write this review!!!
I purchased the Dylon black fabric dye and carefully followed the instructions for a top load wash. I was nervous about doing this, so I was very careful and followed all the steps to a tee. Only to discover at the end of the wash - that that the colour was patchy, with speckles and blotches of black on it (as if I had spilled an ink pen) it only worked on roughly 10% of material and completely ruined the rest.
What was originally a white saddle blanket, now has a light ORANGE tinge with black speckles across it. It looks like mould has grown on it. It is a complete utter mess.
I've never had problems with dying clothes or material before! I've done it numerous time with great success. This brand was a first for me and one I would never ever recommend. I regret trusting this brand.
AVOID-Destroyer of washing machines
Destroyer of washing machines! Buy new clothes, cheaper than a new washing machine and Plumber costs!
Used 2 black pods in 2yr old Samsung Eco bubble Machine. Followed instructions including aftercare cleaning to the letter. Washed inside and even did further 2 empty machine washes-just in case. Machine began to smell within hours.
This product had congealed in all internal pipework including undersink outlet. The machine Engineer, had to remove and clean all internal machine pipework plunge clogged outside drain, full of thick black dye. 4 Boil washes and 3Machine cleaner products still had the dreaded black stuff floating in black water.
Machine is in perfect working order, APART FROM AWFUL DYE SMELL still wafting through my home.Cannot sell it due to smell, have to replace machine, not covered by Extended Warranty or Home Insurance.
Disgusted. Do not buy this product. You will regret it. Cost me a fortune. Plumber and engineer have encountered this in other machines recently. Black sludge everwhere.
Dylon machine wash Vibrant Black
I used Dylon machine wash Vibrant Black to treat an old Ventile cotton waterproof coat that had started off nay blue and faded to unwearable scruffiness, although the coat itself was fine (at £250 too good to throw away). Although Ventile is pure cotton and should take dye, it also a super dense weave which becomes waterproof when wet, so I wasn't sure if Dylon would work but it was worth a go. The overall result is pretty good - I have ended up with a coat that is an even coloured dark charcoal rather than deep black but I suspect that is the nature of the fabric as a couple of detail points of standard cotton have come out true black. I now have a wearable coat that isn't an embarrassment to be seen in. The dye was easy to use but be careful putting it in the machine and don't get it on your skin - it stained immediately on my hands but wore off by the end of the day. There was a little staining on the rubber seal around the machine door after the dye-ing wash, which I cleaned off easily with an old abrasive dishwashing sponge before doing the detergent wash of the coat. There were no signs of residue after this was but I still ran the recommended third empty cycle anyway just to make sure the machine was clean. The next load of normal washing came out fine. I would say that it was worth using Dylon in my case to save an otherwise fine and expensive item from the bin.
Beware
Beware! Absolutely terrible product and customer service.
I weighed my bedding and ordered the recommended amount of packs. I followed the instructions to the letter and now have ruined bedding.
When all was done, I had "tie died" bedding.
New white sheets, pillow cases, & duvet cover now look decades old, blotchy, faded, spotted, and fit for the bin.
I complained and was sent a pointless survey. I answered the questions and returned it.
Email back saying I didn't follow instructions.
I phoned and explained that I had split the load. She said you didn't put that on the form. I explained that the form never asked me to.
Then she said you're supposed to do the opposite to the instructions.
The website video of how to use the product never loads.
The instructions such as they are were followed. Apparently you're supposed to be psychic for how to use the product with white bedding.
I guess I got off lucky, as it didn't also ruin My washing machine.
Wish I'd never heard of this lousy company.
I am out of pocket for the 7 orange pods & 6 grey pods (that I haven't used after the orange disaster) and a complete set or California King bedding.
Brilliant customer services
My dye didn't go as planned so I rang customer services. What a fantastic service the lady explained what I had done wrong (my fault) and supplied a replacement dye free. Brilliant service 🙂
Have used Dyson dye both for black…
Have used Dyson dye both for black using the washing machine and yellow dye by hand. The results were first rate. Absolutely brilliant.
Follow the instruction to the letter. You can’t go wrong.

Honestly I want you to pay me for my black jeans, its even lighter then before and it's looks disgusting....
Absolutely brilliant!!
Absolutely brilliant!!! Easy to use, true colour match, and exactly what I would expect for dyeing in this day and age.
I accidentally got bleach on two of my beloved dresses. I thought I was going to have to throw them away, until someone suggested dyeing them back to their original colours, navy blue and olive green. I was truly amazed by the results & how easy the all in one ‘pods’ were to use. Four simple steps later and I have two brand new dresses
Dylon hand wash sachet
Dylon hand wash sachet! The packet state that different fabrics may not take to the dye which is understandable. Chenille fabric was pointless but the cotton fabric did have a fair result.
I'm about to try the washing machine pod in hope for a better result!
Utter rubbish and damaging
Utter rubbish, a complete waste of money and 3 washing machine cycles!
Used the Black dye for some seat covers and made zero difference, apart from ruining the existing covers.
I used the Dylon pod
I used the Dylon pod. It dyed my clothing fine from pale pink to chocolate brown. But it left big areas of darker chocolate brown spots. Dylon refused to give me any refund. The clothing ruined was worth £100. I will never buy another Dylon product.
Bought 2 packs of dusty lavender dylon…
Bought 2 packs of dusty lavender dylon for some curtains. I did everything the instructions said, the curtains where a very pale grey already so I expected a more purple grey tone.. they came out exactly the same so I used the second pot on the same curtains and they are still the exact same colour as when they went in. Waste of money, the only part of the curtain to go a lovely colour was the bloomin label! Bitterly disappointed
Advertised to dye two didn't even dye one. customer service is hopeless…
The product was advertised to dye two shoes... it didn't even dye one!
Dylon's customer service is hopeless...
