Customer care is appalling
Have a plumbing home care contract with British Gas but plumbing repairs carried out by Dyno. We have had to use them for a handful of drainage related issues over last couple of years, every occasion their engineers customer service skills were dreadful and this week have had the most painful experience trying to get a tap replaced. First appointment engineer didn’t show up, second appointment only organised due to us chasing and then engineer didn’t show up as he turned up at incorrect address (suggest you use sat nav) then hung up on me as he said he wouldn’t attend as the problem wasn’t an emergency. Again we called their office and chased twice for another appointment. Service levels are absolutely appalling their entire team need to be much better trained on how to speak to their customers.
Poor customer service
Arrange a callout with HQ - very efficient. Engineer booked for the next day.
Apparently passed onto my local branch (we live in South Devon).
No one turned up for the appointment nor called to say they were running late. Waited in all day to meet the engineer missing work.
Called to find out if they were running late, but told that someone would call me back.
No one called back.
Called again an hour later but again no one able to answer my question and promised someone would call me back.
No one called me back.
Called once again to get an update, and was told by the lady there it wasn't her fault and not to shoot the messenger. Apparently they were very busy and under a lot of pressure. No apology or solution offered.
Finally got a callback to be told they were running late but didn't know when they would arrive. Again no apology, just that we were low in the priority list due to other emergencies.
When the chap did turn up, he did a great job - friendly, helpful and informed, plus cleared the blockage and gave us some good general advice.
It strikes me that the office staff aren't to blame, nor is the engineer - but someone in management is doing a terrible job at organising their system and customer service processes.

I’ve had to call Dyno Rod out because my drains in front of the garage was blocked, I’ve had Dyno Rod out for the same problem approximately 3 years ago, But the Dyno Rod man at the time wasn’t really concerned or interested with the problem and didn’t solve it, Well Mark that came today was absolutely brilliant and so thorough he solved the problem with care and concern, And what a lovely man he is, I would HIGHLY recommend Dyno Rod and of course Mark, A job very well done thank you.

Great and efficient service
An engineer was booked in for the same day of my call for help. We had to get a new tap, although they would have fitted one from van but didn't suit us, so they came back again and completed the job later. Very pleased. Both engineers were helpful and very pleasant. Would definitely use again
Worth waiting for
My garden was full of sewage, the guy came and was completely unfazed, fixed the issue and cleaned up the garden, you'd never know I had a literal river of excrement a half hr before! He gave fab advice regarding the drainage issues and what to do next time. The only issue I had was I phoned at 9 am, they couldn't tell me when an engineer could get to me, just that one would. He phoned and gave me an estimated time, which was exact, but took until 2pm, by which time the tide had def risen on the poonami in my garden. 5 stars because the man (didn't catch his name) was amazing, but not a great system by the company.

Blocked underground drain
A blocked underground drain caused sewerage to flow into my yard.
The response time was well within the period stated on my initial phone call. The problem was quickly resolved and the area affected cleaned down.

Drain clearing was really quick and the guy was very friendly no problem with the on site staff at all. Some really good advice given and would use again.
I had been booked in for a morning slot 0800 - 1300 but the guy arrived at about 1630. There are a great many very good reasons for this but obviously this was later than expected.
When the guy was replacing my manhole cover the corner broke off, this was ignored, I'm not sure if that is standard practice. I assume it doesn't matter but may cause other workmen issues in the future.

Called up from a farm in the middle of nowhere and the guys arrived within three hours! Really lovely chaps, sorted our drainage in quick time ready for the eves festivities. Can’t thank you guys enough!
