Really Poor Service ….

Dyno-Rod were instructed by our insurers to attend an emergency leak in our kitchen on Sunday 30th October.
We were kept up to date via text messages on the progress of the call out and at around 14.30 had a call from the engineer letting us know that he would be with us at approximately 15.00 . Bearing in mind that the water had been turned off at the mains since 08.00. When the engineer turned up , he assessed the job and informed me
that the leak was coming from a joint in the copper pipe , easily and quickly remedied ?????.After about 45 minutes the engineer informed me that he had instructed another engineer to come and repair the pipe as he didn’t have any solder with him . ( what plumber turns up to a job to repair a copper pipe without any solder ????)
The water was still off at the mains and I was being told that the next visit would be approximately another 2/3hrs wait and I would get a call updating me on an ETA . The update never happened, I called the office at about 21.30 and they told me that the engineer wasn’t coming as the job had been signed off ?????..
Thanks to Dyno-Rod , we were without water for 24hrs and had a wasted day waiting around for them …
The pipe was repaired by a local plumber on the Monday morning..
Didn’t take him long and was straight forward as he had the common sense to turn up with the appropriate materials to carry out the repair. Dyno-Rod actually contacted me on the following Tuesday (3 days after the leak had been reported), to book it in for repair??? Really doesn’t fill you with a lot of confidence, and really won’t be rushing to use this company again …
Then they send me an email wanting a review and asking how my “Dyno-Rod” experience had been ..
So there it is …

Great service

Great service. They were contacted via my home insurance to sort out a leak. They called me in advance as promised, the guy who came round was super friendly and explained everything, diagnosed the issue in almost no time, and fixed it quickly.

One man from dyno came on Monday and…

One man from dyno came on Monday and said I have a loose pipe and he would ask the plumber to come out. The plumber came last night at 7 m but did not know what he man on Monday was talking about.H e said he would ask him where the loose pipe was and would get back to me. Today Friday I have not heard from him or seen him. I am very worried as I have been told i have a loose pipe in my wet room/wash room and I need for it to be sorted. I have also had water coming through the ceiling from my bathroom a few days after the first man came out 15th September. I am 87 years of age , pay British Gas care plan and expect this to be sorted. Please advise.

Terrible experience

Terrible experience, I was using British Gas Home service, who then contracted this out to Dyno-rod to fix a Toilet that wouldn't flush, It was a Saturday, so I had to wait 8 hours before anyone showed up, showed the Agent the issue, he said no problem I do this all day long, I left him to it 90 minutes later he had made a right mess carpets marked in the Hallway, Sewage running down the ceiling and through the plaster, and the toilet still would not flush so he blasted it with his powerwasher, which I have heard since is a big no no pushing water back up a pipe as it can break its seals, going down a pipe is fine but not the other way round, I fixed it myself on the Sunday using Hot water and fairy liquid and its been fine ever since, but I have had no response form Dyno Rod about one of there guys who I believe subcontracted the job again to a firm called Craven.
I would look elsewhere if you need this sort of thing doing.

Try anyone else other than Dyno-Rod

Dyno-Rod came to my property on a Saturday, sent by British Gas Homecare when water was coming through my kitchen ceiling. First time they came, the plumber said it was a big job that needed a team and that someone would phone on Monday. No one called. On the Wednesday I phoned British Gas to find out what was happening and they arranged another visit by Dyno-Rod on the Thursday. At 11.30am on Thursday, after taking the day off work, I had a phone call from Dyno-Rod to say there were no engineers in my area and they'd be here on Friday. Friday morning, engineer number 2 turned up to say it was too big a job for him and left. I then complained to both British Gas and Dyno-Rod. They both promised me someone would come Friday afternoon and it would be fixed. Engineer number 3 came, removed the toilet and put new fittings on the toilet waste and pulled the ceramic tiles off the bath only to tell me the leak was only coming from the toilet. I woke today (Saturday) to find water leaking from the waste pipe again and I phoned Dyno-Rod yet again. Engineer number 4 arrived 30 minutes ago, smeared sealant around the waste pipe and left. I now have to replace the bath panel and re-tile it and I'm still not convinced my leak has been repaired properly. Then to top it all, Dyno-Rod have just sent me a text to ask them for a rating on trust pilot..... well here you go Dyno, you should be careful what you ask for, it's just a shame that there are no markings less than 1 star !!!!

Call themselves plumbers .......

Booked via British Gas Homecare. What a farce. Problem was toilet leaked when it was flushed. Engineer arrived, changed seal where flush pipe meets toilet and left. Problem now is that water leaks from below cistern when flushed. Second engineer fixed that leak and left. Now we are back to original problem - leaking from where flush pipe meets toilet. Third engineer realigned cistern so that flush pipe fits correctly at both ends. Problem solved. Three visits to fix a simple problem - not impressed. Since this repair was booked via British Gas Homecare at a fixed price Dyno-Rod must have lost money on this job. Avoid using them if possible.

Excellent service

Excellent service, very friendly knowledgeable engineer(Lewis). He came to fix a leak in my toilet which turned out to be a hairline crack in the cistern, he came back next day to fit a new toilet for me. I was very impressed with the service I received from start to finish.

I had a leak on the feed to my outside toilet.my outside…

I had a leak on the feed to my outside toilet. It's an old house and the original stop tap had failed to shut off the water. Jamie was the plumber assigned to do the work. He was very friendly and explained the steps he had to take to fix the problem. He was very efficient and very tidy. He fitted a new isolation valve, which has stopped the leak. Job well done. Thank you
