An impressive range of goods at excellent prices

The Ecogreenstore not only has a really impressive range of different foodstuffs and various items for the kitchen and home (I haven't made it through the whole list yet) but they also sell them at discounted prices. Another area in which they excel is there skilful art of packaging - I live abroad and am amazed each time a carton arrives at the intricate way in which each item is first carefully packed and then inserted to fill the large cartons to the brim. Bravo!

Reliable and good value

I've used EcoGreenstore for a number of years now and always found them reliable for having what I need in stock and delivering in a timely manner.
Always kept informed as to when the goods are despatched etc.

Good Products at Great Prices

Used Eco Green a few times now, love the fact I seem to get so much more for my money. OK it might not be the fastest delivery, but it always arrives and the products are always good quality.
A friend recommended them to me and I am glad I took their advice.

Dodgy

Ordered flour 11 days ago no delivery. Telephoned company and answerphone message said no on here leave a message then counter message came in and said this persons mailbox is full up and cut me off.....looks like they are no longer there. Avoid as they appear to be accepting payment with no goods being delivered.

DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE. Terrible service and customer service. Didn't inform me items were not in stock. Dispatched items significantly delayed on ordering -only on trying to arrange a refund they 'suddenly' dispatched the item as they 'found some in stock'. Avoid.

6 Days in, order not depatched, 40 mins on hold.

In short: Slow to despatch because of stock issues / order back log.

Place an order with these guys, waited 6 days and it hadn't arrived so I logged into the site. Order has not been despatched yet so I thought I would give them a call. I was on hold for 40 mins without speaking to anybody, which made me think I may be on hold for ever. Gave up.
Shortly after received an email stating an item was not in stock. I replied to this and they agreed to substitute with an item of higher value. All was then received the next day.

My experience has been acceptable

I've ordered from them a few times, maybe about 4 times over a few years.
I've found them to occasionally be a bit slow to deliver due to waiting for stock to come in.
They do email discount codes quite often which can be useful. They also email order confirmations and dispatch confirmations.
I haven't had any major problems with them.
They do seem to take care to package breakables and spill-ables fairly well (taping lids down and using bubble-wrap etc).

I did have one issue: last time I placed quite a large order which included a 3kg tub of tahini (a bit like runny oily peanut butter), and the lid hadn't been taped down. During transit it spilt over all the other items, and it took me over an hour at home to clean it all up and wash all the other items (none of which were damaged inside, but cleaning was fiddly and a lot of the packaging needed to be chucked away).
I let them know this via email with photos of the mess, my wording was...
"I received this package this evening and I'm afraid I got posted a mess, the tahini leaked badly. I've attached photos. Most of the other products had tahini on them, for many it leaked underneath the protective plastic they had been wrapped in. Tahini found its way under the bottom of the caps of the shampoo and sunscreen. It took me about an hour to wash everything and clean up. Only about 500mL of the 3kg tahini was left in the tub - seems it was one of the few things which hadn't been wrapped or taped to keep it from leaking!
It would be nice to be compensated somehow for this, at the very least could I have the tahini replaced please."
Silly me kind of expected a decent apology and perhaps something more (a discount on a future order maybe?) to compensate for the inconvenience. After all, I could have sealed it back up and sent it all back to them, and they would have had to send me all new stuff and dispose of the £83 of ruined stock or clean it themselves somehow - I didn't do this partially because I didn't want to wait - it had taken 19 days already after ordering for the delivery).
They replied to my email promptly the next day. Their reply was "I can offer to resend the Tahini for you, which is currently out of stock or I can refund you for the Tahini.? Apologies for the inconvenience."
I guess that was the minimum they could have done, it seemed a little short but acceptable. A a company placing more emphasis on good customer relations might have done and/or said more.
They did send me a new tub of tahini without having to wait too long for it, which I thought was an acceptable minimum solution.

All in all, I think their customer service is not great, but not terrible either, and they have good products at a decent price especially when you buy in bulk, and deliver sometimes a little slowly.

Overall not a bad experience.

Normally I'm quite careful about vetting a website but on this occasion I ordered blind. Once I had placed the order, a few days went by and I had heard nothing so I checked for reviews and from what I read I didn't hold out much hope.

From unfulfilled orders to bad or no communication and no refunds I could find almost no good reviews.

In fact though I found my experience to be much better than I had expected. I called the company, and other than a 10 minute period on hold they were very efficient and extremely helpful.

I was informed that the order had been held back because they were short of one item and were waiting for it to come back into stock (they expected the delivery with 3 days). The gentlemen I spoke to ensured me that it was an oversight and the order would be dispatched immediately with the remaining part of the order to follow as soon as it arrived in stock at no additional postage charge.

All of this was done exactly as he said and with updates via email as the two parts of the order were ready for dispatch and finally dispatched.

I guess the only complaint I could have is that I had to contact them before I got and information about the delayed order.
