Phenomenal
It's was a very great experience nothing i can compare with it
You have tours is such a wonderful program. Easy to book, schedule different activities, even payment options were very flexible. They laid out everything clearly that we needed and updated us as new travel requirements came out before the start of the trip. It was very easy to navigate through the process. 10 out of 10.
I recently traveled with EF Tours, and while there were a couple of bright spots, the overall experience—especially the accommodations and food—was incredibly disappointing and far below expectations. Let me start with the only positives: our travel directors, Marilyn and Brooks, were absolutely fantastic. They were organized, attentive, kind, and truly went above and beyond to make the trip enjoyable. They are the reason the trip had any redeeming value at all. Unfortunately, everything else—particularly the hotels and food—was shockingly poor. The hotel breakfasts were consistently awful. The juice was clearly the cheapest powdered mix imaginable—barely drinkable. The eggs were unappetizing, and the bacon was consistently undercooked to the point of being concerning. Not a single breakfast during the entire trip was satisfying or even decent. When we were given “breakfast boxes” for early departures, the situation got even worse. These boxes contained the bare minimum—typically just a yogurt, a croissant, and a small juice box. That is completely inadequate for students facing long travel days on buses with lunch hours away. It left everyone hungry and frustrated. Now, the dinners were on an entirely different level of unacceptable. On our first night in Amsterdam, we were served what can only be described as a hockey puck-sized hamburger—overcooked, tiny, and completely lacking basic toppings like onions or ketchup. It was baffling that, while in Amsterdam, we were given such generic, low-quality American food instead of anything remotely local or culturally relevant. Even the dessert that night was disappointing. Another dinner in Amsterdam was even worse: a bowl of rice with a few small pieces of what resembled chicken nuggets and some greens. It was shockingly minimal and honestly felt insulting. In Brussels, we were served a cheap, meatless lasagna—no bread, no sides, nothing else. After a long day of travel, that was the entire meal. It was unsatisfying and frankly unacceptable. Paris didn’t improve things much. At Flams near the Louvre, we were served what was easily the worst pizza any of us had ever had. The restaurant was overcrowded with student groups, the staff was clearly overwhelmed, and it felt like we were being rushed out as quickly as possible to make room for the next group. It was chaotic, impersonal, and unpleasant. Out of the entire trip, there was only one dinner in Paris that could be considered decent. Every other meal ranged from disappointing to downright terrible. Beyond the food, the pace of the trip was exhausting and poorly structured. The kids barely had time to actually experience or enjoy the destinations before being rushed off to the next stop. It felt more like being shuffled through a checklist than having a meaningful travel experience. Overall, EF Tours delivered what felt like the absolute bare minimum at every opportunity. The quality of the food, the planning of meals, and the accommodations were all far below what should be expected for the price paid. It came across as cost-cutting at every turn, with little regard for the actual experience of the travelers. I would not travel with EF Tours again, nor would I recommend it to others—especially not for students. Aside from the exceptional efforts of Marilyn and Brooks, this trip was a major disappointment. EF Tours should be ashamed of the level of quality they are providing. Never again. I'm glad I got to see the place we went and will go back to some of the places but never again with EF Tours. You totally need to change the way you do things! I'm shocked more people don't complain and I'm can't believe the way you herd the children around and feed them awful food. It's shocking and unbelievable!!
Was amazing
We had an incredible trip! Our tour guide, Dave, did an outstanding job and truly went above and beyond—my students absolutely loved him. Due to a snowstorm in Massachusetts, our flight was canceled and rescheduled, which unexpectedly gave us three extra days in London. During that time, we were able to see the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace, visit the aquarium, and explore the Natural History Museum. One of the biggest highlights was seeing the play Wicked—it was unforgettable. There were so many wonderful moments throughout the trip. The students especially enjoyed making chocolates in Brussels, and our visit to Disney in Paris was another major highlight. Overall, the entire trip was fantastic, and EF did a great job organizing everything.
Our experience with EF Tours was amazing—everything was well organized, safe, and unforgettable. Our kids explored new cultures, made great memories, and came back more confident and inspired. Highly recommend!
My daughter enjoyed London, Paris and Brussels. However, she felt not so impressed with Amsterdam, specifically the Red Light District. I believe more focus should have been on other areas in Amsterdam. I did a tour with Contiki myself 20 years ago. I did a bike ride through the tulip fields and windmills. I visited a clog making shop and cheese shop. My daughter and I would have preferred that instead of any focus on the Red Light District
This trip and experience was amazing for our high school sophomore. The information leading up to the trip and the communication during and after was seamless. Tour guides were amazing and the places visited were priceless.
My kids were reluctant travelers, but they had a great time! Their tour guide was phenomenal and they had fun activities galore.
Wonderful even getting stuck an extra three days. The kids were put up in a hotel and us parents didn't have to worry about anything. They were kept busy and fed. Dave the tour guide was the best from what I was told.
All in all, the trip was an amazing experience! Our tour guide, Antonia, left a lot to be desired. She was nothing but negativity and rudeness during the entire trip. Not much additional educational information was given from her through the duration of our trip. We would have liked to have had a choice for our dinner meals instead of everyone getting the same thing.
Continually waited on transportation. Bus driver was not familiar with routes Entirely too much drama with other groups which distracted our tour guide and pulled her away from larger group to deal with petty behavioral issues Hotel choices were horrible. Rooms were dirty, mold, no air-conditioning in Brussles Since buses were habitually late, we missed Broadway shows that we paid for. They would not refund nor let us in late. Windsor tour was cut so short. We were told by group leaders we would be reimbursed forbthose tickets but that has yet to happen. Constantly late, constantly running to catch up and we were not able to enjoy the cities or activities b/c we were always behind. $10,000 is a huge sum of money to play in The Amazing Race instead of enjoying an abroad vacation trip.
A lot of bus and walking sightseeing. "Hey there's Notre Dame, moving on, hey there's the Seine river, moving on."
The tour director and tour were amazing. Fun, knowledgeable, and an advocate for those on the tour.
