Sorriest thing I ever did was to change…

Sorriest thing I ever did was to change over to eir from sky. Took two months to get broadband and landline working properly.
Was overcharged for the whole year.
Like a muppet I let myself get talked into getting signed up for another year.
This 'simple' process lost me my home phone number which I had for over 20 years. 4 months later I still haven't got it back and still being overcharged!

Terrible...after 8 hours setting ip iunes etc to fulfill apple box requirements I was told (4 calls to eir support later...all with different advice) I was told that you cant get free Amazon prime IF you gave an existing Amazon account. No word of this in preamble or earlier support calls. Then I tried to record series, couldn't find record button and rand eir who said most channels yiou cannot record as it is cloud based. What a joke. I will definitely be changing when contract s up, this service is very limited.

Eir failed to turn up 3 times to install

Signed up on January 10. Installation for 31st. No one turned up, 7 th no one turned up, 12th no one turned up. Every morning of arranged date I rang to see what time to be told that the date was wrong. Stuck with virgin in the end. Cancelled after being on hold for 25 minutes. Stay away and don't trust the customer supprt if they confirm an instalation date.

One star is generous.
An absolute shower, in one year we had 5 TV boxes break, TV would freeze after 10 minutes, with no help. After the year was up in November we asked what we had to do to leave, the answers ranged from just give notice, to having to tell them who our new provider was, it's now February and they're still asking for money. This week we got a letter threatening us over the return of the modem and TV box even though they were returned four weeks ago! Avoid at all costs

They literally stole over 100e from my account. Telling me go to the guards to try and get it back. This is no joke , this company is a disaster. Their customer service is impossible to reach and all they will do is fob you off. I can't wait to be rid of them. Stay away!!!!!

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service, don’t think it’s even that one star worthy. I’ve tried contacting them multiple times on the phone and on their website. Their chat service on the website is terrible, can’t get anything sorted out through that. Their dedicated customer service number doesn’t even work most of the time or you’re but on hold for ridiculous lengths of time. Terrible honestly terrible. Feels like they don’t give a crap about people.

BE WARNED!! AVOID IS POSSIBLE!

I wish I could rate Eir lower. I signed up to Fibre 150 broadband & landline in September 2019 and told they would handle the changeover including my Eir Sport subscription and Virgin Media broadband. They didn't do either. I only got 15mb broadband & the phoneline never became active. They & Eir Sport don't talk to each other, Eir Sport said Eir Broadband should have told me I would have to cancel with Eir Sport directly as they are only sister companies. 4 months of calls and emails later they eventually credited my (now closed) account but only after customer support told me I had to physically go into a store (which turned out not to be the case at all. Still won't refund me the broadband I shouldn't have been charged for so off to Small Claims is my only way to get my money back. The only upside is as I've left them, I'll never have to deal with such poor customer service again. If you have ANY other possible provider, don't choose Eir and keep an eye on your bank account!

If I could give it minus 5 stars, I would. Customer service is very poor. They don't respond to calls or emails, you have to chase them. Some agents don't know what they are doing and give wrong information.

EIR Customer Service is Worst I have Ever Experienced

Minus stars if I could give them. Trying to get an unlock code for Huawei phone from eir since mid Oct, it is now end Dec. I have chased them 12 times, they say the phone is unlocked and tell me to just put other carrier SIM in. The reason I contacted them for an unlock code is that I did put another carrier SIM in last Oct and the phone asked for a Network Unlock Code. I have told them this several times since Oct. They don't respond to emails, don't respond to complaints or escalation requests from me. Went to their shop in Liffey Valley and was abused by eir agent, he just refused to discuss the issue with me and told me to phone the help line. Their customer service or tech support is non existent and they just don't seem to care. I am now taking my issue to the Telecoms Regulator as I can not get an unlock code from eir.

THEY LOST MY PHONE!!!!

Sent phone in for for repair 4 weeks ago. The customer service rep gave the wrong address for phone to be sent to for repair Still without my phone and any resolution 5 weeks later. Over 30 hours of calls to these fools and still no resolution.
Promised numerous call backs after hour long calls and then no call.Very frustrating to deal with .Given every excuse under the sun, manager dealing with is not in, can't take the call he'll call you back,sorry only John can fix this and he's on personal leave, sorry John is sick today these are the excuses I got totally unacceptable.

Left with no choice but to take legal action!! Avoid Eir at all costs!!!

"Broadband Service"

Very quick to sell broadband, not so quick to fix or cancel!
2 days time - account setup, broadband installation
2 hours time - thats how long my broadband was working
30 minutes - thats how long I spent on phone trying to cancel,
I was constantly switched between operators and waiting... b
before I disconnected the call
10 days time - thats how long my internet was down before I got sick of them... I gave them too much time in comparison.

After contacting through chat and other means thats what I got:

Lie #1: "Line needs to be activated, wait 24-48h"
Lie #2: "Your broadband is active"
Lie #3: "It will work in 24h"
Lie #4: "We will let you know when the engineer will arrive"
Lie #5: "Your fault has been fixed"
Lie #6: "Your fault has been logged and we will contact you within 24h"
Lie #6: "You can cancel within 14 days" - I was on phone trying to cancel this useless service for over 30 minutes, constantly switched between different operators with no result.

So think again if you want to sign up with them, my advice is to AVOID under any circumstances.

i had a broadband connection and it was…

i had a broadband connection and it was always slower than agreed, several time contact the service team and they increasing the frequency it would be ok for 1 or 2 days and the same problem. finally i disconnect after the one year contract but deducting the amount frequently. ( please note i have returned the modem and all accessories at the earliest.

If I could give it 0 star I would. Little to no respect and empathy for the customer, poorly trained agents and the list goes on ... If I was the owner of eircom, or even a manager, I would be ashamed to deliver such service. In the end, it's not even about getting access to the internet, it's about giving a f*** about the customers as persons. Shame on Eircom

Despite what Eircom charge service is not as promised

Despite what Eircom charge, they are absolute rubbish. I have been a customer since 2004 & it’s definitely time for change. Sorry Eircom but you’ve left me down too often & you have no conscience about charging. When my contract is up for renewal, I’m gone elsewhere. I can’t depend on the service you promised/provide.
