Juan Donoso helped me fix my outside tap!
Juan Donoso helped me fix my outside hot n cold nold tap for the summer! Great customer service. Very polite and efficient.
I was trying to get a thankless water…
I was trying to get a thankless water heater and softener quote. The sales person came and with the quote it would have cost me over $40,000 in the ten year contract. He said they have a free AC and furnace check. A week later I was driving to work and got a call that one of their technicians is coming to my home. I had not booked this appointment. She came and told me my furnace had a Crack, shut off the gas and left an infraction. WOW.! It was unbelievable. She also stated she doesn't know how we are not dead. Unbelievable horrible customer service. I will never have them around my house.
Prompt and efficient service by Ben.
NO Emergency Service off-hours
If you are having an Emergency and it is not Mon-Fri 9 to 5 then you are SOL. They do NOT do emergency calls as I can confirm when I asked a technician in person last Saturday. Most others do - NEVER sign a contract.
Very disappointed with my recent…
Very disappointed with my recent experience with Enercare Home Service.
I had a scheduled service appointment under confirmation #42616761-2 and arranged my day around the four-hour service window provided. No technician arrived, no notice was given, and no follow-up call, explanation, or apology was ever provided afterward. My time and commitments were clearly not respected.
What made the experience worse was the lack of meaningful response from Enercare’s escalation/executive team after I raised the issue directly.
I also experienced inconsistent and concerning furnace assessments from different technicians. One technician advised there may be a cracked heat exchanger and told me to “monitor it,” which is difficult to understand given the potential safety implications associated with such an issue. It ultimately took inspections by three separate technicians, including a senior technician, before I was finally advised that everything appeared normal.
While I appreciate that the final assessment found no issue, the contradictory messaging, poor communication, and lack of accountability created unnecessary stress and significantly reduced my confidence in the consistency of the service being provided.
“They pushed me to replace the water…
“They pushed me to replace the water heater and assured me everything would stay the same. That turned out not to be true. A few months later, I started getting bills with an extra $20 charge. When I asked about it, they just said it was a miscommunication and apologized.”
My water heater kicked out on me
My water heater kicked out on me , and a young fellow named Miguel Gray was my service man , he was very knowledgeable did an awesome job , and before I new it my water heater was running. It always helps when you've had a good teacher. Thank you Miguel from my wife and I.
Please find an alternative and stay away from Enerace
I decided to go with Enercare for a new furnace and water heater as opposed to a random private company since I thought it would be reliable and high quality customer service. I couldnt have been more wrong. Not only did I pay more but I got screwed over in so many ways. They didn't end up sending me the promotion card which was worth $850. They did not do the water heater since they couldnt connect the gas line. The furnace was a disaster since I had to cut holes in my deck for them to access piping and later found out it was not necessary. They literally set up the exhaust to blow on the patio which you can't use any more when the furnace is on. The sales agent Steve Krautz or whatever his name is was super shady and only wanted to sell. So, currently my deck is messed up, I still didnt receive the gift card, paid more for a furnace than needed to. On top of all that they use private contractors for everything which makes everything so sketchy. Normally I would let this go but I'm upset to the point that I will seek legal action. Even if it costs me more than its worth.

Horrible Service - AVOID!
New furnace andA/C installed on March 20. Took them 5 days to install it which means no heat or hot water for 5 days! Then mid May in the middle of a heat wave my new A/C unit does not work! Technicians determined its a faulty compressor and entire unit needs replacement. Was told field manager would call me but nobody did... No eta and still without air conditioning. All of this with a one year old child at home. This company is mediocre at best and technicians don't have a clue.

Yesterday
Yesterday, I had my annual air conditioner and furnace maintenance completed by Enercare, and Ben provided outstanding service.
Professional Demeanour: Friendly, courteous.
Thorough Inspection: Cleaned and tested both units thoroughly.
Clear Communication: Explained the system health reports clearly without any confusing jargon.
Honest Advice: Provided proactive maintenance tips without pushing unnecessary upsells.
Spotless Workspace: Left the mechanical room completely clean and tidy before leaving.
I highly recommend Ben for your next seasonal tune-up if you want an excellent, stress-free experience!

Just to be clear I would rate the service technicians 5, they are efficient and friendly. My issue is with customer service, I had an appointment for a new water heater, which was cancelled and rescheduled through no fault of my own. They were short staffed due to an on job injury. I was told at the time I would get my first month with the new heater free. Not the case, I did not get it in writing. When I called there was no record of this, and was told too bad, so sad. I have been their customer for a very long time in good standing. Lesson learned, always get these types of offers in writing!
I give Enercare one star only
I give Enercare one star only because I can't give them zero. Let me be clear. I've ALWAYS found their *technicians* to be courteous, professional, efficient, and reliable. It is their administrative processes and staff that are appalling. Their Automated Attendant is absurdly confusing. Navigation through it is convoluted and obscure. The wait times are measured in double-digit minutes no matter day of week or time of day. Their "Customer Service" staff often have accents that make them very difficult to understand and they are ALWAYS robot-like with their questions and comments. Despite their frequent use of the phrase "I am so sorry to hear you are having difficulty", their actions indicate that, either they have zero empathy or they are unable (due to internal controls) to act sympathetically. Very often, once a "Customer Service" rep hears your concern, they will hand you off to another department and you'll need to repeat your problems/needs yet again. It is as though the entire process was DESIGNED to be a voyage of frustration.
Furnace Replacenent
I had two servicemen in today installing a new furnace. From start to finish it was excellent service. They arrived within the allotted two hours after calling first. They were as unobtrusive as possible, given the nature of the job. Both men were polite. Everything was explained to me afterwards as to how my heating and air-conditioning would work, as well as what to do for maintenance. My old furnace was removed and not a hint of debris left anywhere. Really professional job.
And as an aside, I called Enercare on Monday, salesman came Tuesday and gave me all the options, and the furnace was installed Wednesday. Nice to have that all wrapped up in a short period of time.

I'm happy with the service provided by Juan Donoso
I'm happy with the service provided by Juan Donoso who came to fix my leaking toilet tank. Job was done professionally, replaced most of the old parts, flapper, fill valve, flush valve and flexible hose/valve. He advised me to put water softener as well. Very rare to find an exceptional plumber like Juan. Salute to you Sir Juan.

I have had five service calls with these guys. All five time they come into our driveway then back out and leave!!!
When I tried to cancel the plan with them they won’t let me. Stating that I will be billed for the entire season.
Meanwhile still no service or nothing to let us know we won’t be getting a service done.
Evercare are a bunch of incompetent people who don’t know how to service or fix anything.
They are very expensive. I don't recommend them.
They are very expensive.
If you want to cancel the service, it's not possible to, because de contract is set for 1 year firm.
For maintenance service, they will find any excuse to make you pay for the service call.

As big as Enercare is, it is filled with ineptness and incompetence, and extreme harassment challenges which ultimately the customer pays the price.
A 6 year-old hot water tank needed replacing as it burst causing flooding. Enercare was called and instructed to have the driveway free of vehicles to allow the technician easy access which a person would expect the tank to be replaced as they have all the tank info.
Technician showed up, no tank, no equipment and advise what we had already discussed on the phone with the Calltaker.
Appalled and disgusted that the technician did not have a hot water tank. I called head office while the technician was in front of us and on speakerphone to make the complaint that did not come prepared as we were advised to clear vehicles from the driveway and it was understood the tank had burst. Instead, the technician flagged the hot water tank as in operable and advised call-taker once they received his report, they would send it to another department and on and on the headache went.
After the technician had left a lady by the name of Shania called from her office to advise that, though they knew the hot water tank need to be replaced and inoperable from the phone call advising, his report did not come through because there was a “glitch” in the system. We were instructed we would be sent a link, for us, to go online to resubmit all the information that had previously been done.
After that phone call and disgusted that a big company did not send a technician with a replacement tank and advised to clear the driveway for no reason, we went ahead with another company called GoLime which was used by another family member and very satisfied and much cheaper with a more efficient hot water tank.
GoLime came in the next day. Did a great job and then out of the blue and Enercare technicians showed up with two different water tanks to replace the one that had broke. They came in unannounced, no booked appointment and argued that the new tank was NOT NEW and had to be replaced. Absolutely incompetent deplorable and disgusting.
This company is a scam, they bully their customers, and they take advantage of people who can’t defend themselves and scam their way in to long-term contracts. They are incompetent, inept and should be heavily investigated by outside agencies for their high level marketing scams.
This battle to cancel has not finished as a call was made to cancel. Told the monthly balance was outstanding which was paid over the phone. Once this representative confirmed payment was made, advised to hold to be transferred to their loyalty dept. Once transferred an automated message advised closed for the day. Another outrageous scam as the call taker must have known they’d be closed but only to receive more money.
UPDATE to follow.
Billing nightmare
I had my old leaking hot water removed two months ago by Enercare ,i am still being billed for that plastic pipe called a supply line .
In 13 years i must have paid for that twenty foot exaust pipe, ten times over, or more.
Enercare refuses to cancel my account which clearly states that i have no products or services with Enercare.
I hate this company. Zero stars for bullying customers .
