I had a wonderful customer service…

I had a wonderful customer service experience with Diego at Enercare today on the phone. He was incredibly kind, patient, and understanding while helping me review my account. Diego took the time to listen to my situation and was able to apply a credit that reduced my monthly bill, which I truly appreciate.

His professionalism, compassion, and willingness to help made a real difference for me. It’s not often you come across someone who goes the extra mile the way he did. Thank you, Diego, for your excellent service and for making this process so much easier. Enercare is lucky to have you!

Thieves with horrible customer service

As a government inspector of 15 years and a Level 10 Google Local Guide, I am calling out Enercare for what they are: an embarrassment to Canadian business standards. They operate as thieves in plain sight through deceptive 'evergreen' contracts.

They sell you on 'free service and maintenance,' but the reality is they will refuse to repair a tank once it hits its 15-year life expectancy. Instead, they force a replacement to restart the rental clock. You aren't paying for service; you’re paying for the 'privilege' of a new contract that anyone off the street can get for free. They are scammers, plain and simple."

I don't even want to give them 1 star

I don't even want to give them 1 star. They are the worst. I never experienced such thing. I had a referral from a friend of ours about leasing the soft water system. Contacted sales person who redirected to another person. no follow up. Followed up after a week via email. Literally ignored. Called them and got promised that I will be reached that evening. No calls or nothing. Guess I will never get my service anyways in this company. Glad I could dodge the ball cause once we have their service installed, who knows if would they follow up after all?

Extremely poor communication

Extremely poor communication. They have 2 accounts on my house address. One is a pre authorized payment so it is paid automatically. However,They keep calling that there is payment pending and severely past due . I called them and spoke with an agent at the billing department several times and every time they tell me that it’s taken care of I should not be getting any more calls, but I keep getting these calls and text messages It’s extremely frustrating and I don’t know what else I can do. They even sent me an email that the other account has been closed but despite all that I keep getting these calls of an but despite all that I keep getting these calls !!!! Any idea. ?

Sean Kim came to our house twice

Sean Kim came to our house twice, and was excellent both times. He worked on our furnace the first time, getting it operating smoothly. The second time I had ordered furnace filters, and he installed one, so that we have clean air circulating now. He is to be congratulated on how efficiently he works!

Problem Solved

Sunday March 8, 2026
The service technician who attended our home was SEAN M. Sean was punctual and arrived at 8AM.
When he arrived and entered our home he identified himself and dawned a pair of shoe covers.
I explained that we were not getting hot air from our rental furnace. Sean listened and then proceed to examine and fix the problem. Sean is a well mannered polite and very patient technician. (very qualified and knowledgeable). May I also add that when he finished repairing the problem he took us through the steps that he performed. The main reason was that the thermostat was not properly set to tell the system to call for heat. After examining all the equipment including an after market heat pump. He rectified the problem. With patience he explained that the problem was a setting on a digital thermostat that was not telling the system to call for heat.
There was another problem that Sean promised that he would notify his manager to see if anything could be done with a rental air conditioner that was removed by the after market seller and installer. See Sean`s notes for more information.
Thank-you Sean for your patience, courtesy, expert knowledge and the promise that you will have the other issue looked into.

Recently joined up on the furnace repair insurnace.....the attendant was patient and polite, explaining all the options and benefits. We then had a water leak and made an appointment which was scheduled for the following day. The technician arrived, checked the furnace and quickly fixed the problem. Worst company ever and most annoying…

Worst company ever and most annoying call center. I closed my account last year and paid all.
They continue charging me and keep calling to pay the bills, I explain them more than 47 times for 30 minutes on the line that I have no contract with you guys, after 45 minutes of explaination they says it will never happen again we are sorry, but every one or tow week another agent calling and I must explain the same
Stupid story, I don't know which century these people are living.
I never recommend this company even to my worst enemy.

To: Leaving a senior with no heat at -15 for 24hrs

To:
NickPerreten

Tue, Mar 3 at 3:00 p.m.

Mr. Perreten I had my annual check up on my furnace that I waited almost 4 month to get. The Tech guy informs me that there is a problem with a part and he can't allow me to run the furnace, because it burn the house down. (Did I mention it's 2 years old) I am led to believe that this is how the problem was handled.

Yesterday

1. Tech guy says he will order the part. I did'nt think that meant he got in his truck and left 3 oclock
2. I have no heat and it is going to be between -15 and -20
3. After numerous calls that were completly useless in my situation, I get an email stating they are aware of the issue an I not worry they will text me when they are on the way with the part
4. It becomes very clear that I am not getting this done tonight, and I was furious. I have to wait for the part to be delivered then I have to phone Enercare to book another appointment for the Tech guy to come and install it!!!!!
ARE YOU KIDDING ME. Is there not something that says you can't be left without heat on a cold winter night? I know I read your website. Having someone on call for times like this really eats into your bottom line. I told him that if my pipes burst tonight Enercare was going to have a bigger problem.
He say's Enercare will cover all costs!!!!!! Am I on another planet The couple of space heaters i could gather are going to triple my hydro bill.
You have trimmed your work force back that you can't possibly stand behind your promise's you offer to me and others who pay dearly for these products.

MONEY!!!!!! That's all it is about and your company is slowly getting a bad name for so many different things
I am 63 yrs old and just had back surgery, and this I did not need. When you get together at your next wonderful board meeting, please think of some people like me, left with no answers and afraid of freezing to death, or worse house damage.

Mr. Perreten stand by what you say or change your mission statement and anything else that you can't stand behind.

I would expect for something in good faith, such as not paying the next months bill or we can calculate my Hydro Bill with little space heaters on full for 9 hours.
Thank you for listening
Not a happy customer

My furnace was broken on January 24 and Feb 7

My furnace was broken on January 24, 2026 night. After I spent a whole day to call the emergency call number 1-800-266-3939, a technician showed up around 6:30 pm on January 25, 2026 and showed me the crack of the old furnance. The salesman showed up around 8:30 pm and gave me a quote. I had no choice but accepted the price. Two technicians came and installed the new furnace next day from 10:30 till noon. The installation manager came to do the inspection on Jan 30, 2026 and found the non compliance of the installation. They asked the same technicians to come on Feb 9, 2026 because these two technicians were only available on that day. Unfortunately my new furnance on broken on Feb 7, 2026 night. I booked the appointment on web which showed only available on Monday Feb 9, 2026. I called the emergency number on Sunday Feb 8, 2026 for the whole day and mentioned the urgency because my parents live with me, they are 105 and 97, However, all my efforts were in vain. I even called the salesperson and the installation manager, the sales asked me why i called him and the installation manager even did not answer my call. We experienced two nights when the temperature is below 30 degree celcius. They don't care two seniors staying in a very very cold house. The installation technicians showed up on Monday February 9, 2026. They reinstalled the furnace from 10:45 am till 1:45 pm. I can tell the original installation was not done properly. After they fixed the furnace, I placed a very bad comment on Google Review. Their Social Care Team contacted me and promised to update the installation manager review. I had been waiting for two weeks without any further update. I contacted them. They only promised to give me very minimal compensation. I asked for the review. Up to now, no installation review has been provided. This is a really bad after sales service. Generally my friends told me that Enercare service has a very bad reputation. I will rethink of Enercare when I need any heating, cooling and plumbing service. I definitely will not recommend anyone to use their service.
