Happy to sell their products but not happy to update and give quality of service

Excellent product which are so easy to install ans setup, well priced against other main competitors. More products due out expanding their range early 2018.

Next day delivery. The remote sockets/plugs were easy to set up, took me a couple of minutes to programme them. Very impressed with the range and their ability to switch things on through walls and obstructions. Very pleased.

Bought their radio controlled TRVs, I have to say that there has been a lot of messing around getting them to work, needed extra parts to fit my radiators. I think the TRVs need improving on the quality of the plastic fixings, maybe changing to metal so they don't cross thread so easily. I love gadgets so have been very patient with these. I have given 5 stars purely on the fact that Energenie have the best customer service that I have ever come across. Although I have had a lot of issues, they have helped out on a one to one basis and I shall be purchasing more products from Energenie in the future with the comforting knowledge that I have their help at the end of the phone or email.

This company is the only place you can get the metal spacers needed to go between the pin on the radiator valve and the pin in the digital thermostat heads. No matter what make they may be. I only came across them on my second search of the internet. At first I used a bit of plastic packing as a spacer, metal spacer do a better job.

Hardware is reasonable, if not perfect. Documentation could have been better put together, clearer, and easier to find, instead of scattered around unaffiliated websites and blogs.

Apparently this is a review for Energenie, not the product i bought... Ahh well

Great products, actually purchased through Appliances Direct.

Unfortunately I had to buy the 'pin extension' for the eTRV to work with our radiator valves, which I could only get direct through Energenie. The problem is that they only ship (for free) via 2nd class post, with no option of anything faster (not even paying extra for the faster delivery). This has meant that I have 6 smart radiator valves that I have not been able to test for over a week because of the slow delivery that they offer. Yes, I understand that it is Christmas time at the time of writing this, but that shouldn't really be an excuse to not even offer a faster shipping service (I mean, 2nd class postage, really??).

I did phone them prior to placing the order, and they did explain that they are more geared towards shipping to resellers rather than direct to the public... trouble is, the only place that I could get the pin spacers was direct from Energenie!

I am hoping that the smart valves are going to do their job once I have the pin extensions... will have to wait until after Christmas (and potentially after the new year) to find out.

EDIT: After much frustration, spending extra on the above-mentioned extension pins (which eventually turned up... but still haven't received the replacement collar, I have come to the following conclusion:

In principle the products are great on the surface, the idea of having zoned temperature times at a radiator-level is a great principle. However, after having tried to get these products working and with a lack of support from Energenie, I have downgraded my review to a disappointing 2 stars. I have logged a ticket with them and they said that they would call me back, but they haven't, I have sent numerous emails regarding the non-delivery of the collar and pins and to date have yet to receive a reply.

As for the quality of the products, I can only say that they are very flimsy and plastic, I have both the radiator thermostats and the plus, and both are very patchy in their workings and quality of build.

All in all... I would not recommend this company or products to anyone due to poor support and communication, poor delivery system if you purchase direct from them, and in the end the radiator thermostats didn't do the job at all (I reverted back to 'normal' thermostats... now researching other smart valves).

Update 2: well, it turned out that I didn't just need pin spacers, but an actual valve adapter (which wasn't clear in the instructions). The cost of these adapters is £6 each, which was frustrating considering the amount of time, effort and I had already purchased the pin spacers. Thankfully as a "good will gesture" they sent me 6 of these for free, considering the troubles I had with the TRVs to date. Well, after some time (apparently the Royal mail just "doesn't collect" from them all the time), the adapter arrived... only to not fit on the valves at all! The adapters were "cheap" plastic made (although I was advised that I could buy metal adapters at an extra expense!), and the fact that they just physically didn't fit was the last straw.

Consequently I have given up with these TRVs now, and I will never deal with this company again... I have returned the pin spacers for a refund (which I am still waiting for!!), and have yet to receive any further communication with them regarding the mis-fitting adapters.

All in all, a very disappointing experience, and not a good company to work with.

Bought the plug adapters for use with christmas tree lights, seem to work fine so far.

I have received excellent service from Energenie and the remote controlled plugs are wonderful. I have limited mobility so being able to turn all the lamps on and off from a remote control is so handy. They are very easy to install. I now have 5 sets.

I purchased direct from Energenie as they had the best offer I could find. Four remote control sockets and a remote for £29.99 and free shipping!!! What more could you ask for! Energinie did not disappoint either. With fast dispatch and delivery time spot on! The units I bought are being used in my summer house. They are so easy to configure and have made life much easier for me. I no longer need to fumble about in the dark. As I approach the summer house. I just push a button and the lights come on!!! These are brilliant!!! They make tripping over on my way to the summer house a thing of the past!!!! I also have my computer and heater attached through these in the summer house so I can turn on the heater from the house before I go out!!! It's a small item but makes a HUGE difference!

Great product, no more did I leave the iron on because after 30 minutes it switches off.

contacted Carl at the company office who I found to be very helpful and patient to help me resolve the problem.
Certainly the best customer service I have ever experienced.

There really isn't a lot to review. I have not received the products that I ordered over a week ago. I did get a copy of the order immediately after placing the order but then nothing. Yesterday I did write to Energenie to ask where my items were and received a reply stating that they are on their way. The website states that I would receive an email when the items shipped, obviously this is not the case.
I have order many (approx 30 Energenie products) through a 3rd party company and have received excellent communication, very quick delivery and support from that 3rd party company (Electrical Direct), sadly the same cannot be said for Energenie. I do not know how well the products work as I am waiting on Energenie to provide me with my purchases (adapters and spacers) to make them work.

I have a number of Energenie remote control sockets. They are easy to use and help to avoid leaving TVs etc on standby or having to reach into difficult places to switch off.
