The re assurance that my credit rating was of a high standard after being turned down for a new mobile phone contract.

I had a discrepancy on my credit report. I raised the issue with Equifax, and within 24 hours it was rectified and fixed. Thanks again.

Your site holds the wrong details and your call centre is pathetic they couldn't understand English or speak it well .
You still have the wrong details on file.

I provided a detailed complaint together with supporting documentation clearly demonstrating multiple inaccuracies on my credit file, including an incorrect current address, missing active credit accounts and other reporting discrepancies. Despite this, I received what appeared to be a generic template response that failed to address the specific issues I had raised.
My previous complaint on the same matter was also marked as resolved, yet the problems remained. I have now had to raise the issue again and provide the same evidence for a second time.
The customer service team has repeatedly failed to properly investigate or correct the inaccuracies on my credit file, despite being provided with clear supporting documentation. As someone preparing for a future mortgage application, I expect a credit reference agency to maintain accurate records and to investigate legitimate concerns thoroughly, rather than sending standard responses that do not address the complaint.
I sincerely hope my complaint is now reviewed by someone who will fully investigate the evidence provided and ensure my credit file accurately reflects my personal information.

It was quick and easy to set up my Equifax account. But the information they gave me about old motor finance deals was inaccurate. They identified one former deal at a time when I know I had none, and failed to identify the only real motor finance deal I’ve ever had. Their responses to my queries were very unhelpful and did not resolve the issue. I feel that after using their service I actually know slightly less than I did beforehand, instead of more.

Very poor customer service can’t speak proper English. Doesn’t listen to customer at all. If you send email they say call us when you call they say email us. Even I requested to speak their manager but they said he’s not here today.

Failed to update my address for a year, despite registering on the electoral roll and having a mortgage at my new address.
It took me to chase this and get it changed, meanwhile my credit score was significantly lower than TransUnion etc.
Why would anyone pay for their "premium" services when they can barely do the basics?

Unreliable and ambiguous information. Data is not up to date and is incomplete given that certain suppliers won’t share it.
Is outrageous that some companies would use Equifax as a source of truth regarding credit information.
On top of that, the U/X is awful and the information shared on the site is mostly useless. Is very little that you can do besides asking for an specific change on some information.

Only company that hasn’t took into account the rebuilding of my credit score after my debt struggles. Experian and every other credit score provider has done this. Equifax is much more harsh.

They are good, but they sometimes don't have records up to date especially when you need it most. Needed help with PCP but they didn't have the records.

They simply failed and ignored my request. Compared to a competitor where I’m trying to remove a financial associate, it was 1 form online for them and it was found with my details and removed. For Equifax I’ve had to confirm details for an online account, generate report details and validate when I’ve provided all details about an outdated financial associate. It’s just a lot of hassle and faff for a process that quite simply doesn’t work in 2026.

Your financial data about myself are, to say at least, outdated, if not obsolete. First of all I DID N' T WITHDARAW ANY CASH FROM MY CREDIT CATDS IN THE LAST 4 OR FIVE MONTHS, NOT THREE MONTHS, LIKE YOU KEEP SCALDING ME FOR THE LAST HALF OF THE YEAR. The fact that you keep telling me that " I withdraw cash twice in the last 3 months" for more than three months itself is shameful and disgraceful. I urge you to send me the EXACT DETAILS of when and how much was the very last time " when I withdraw cash from ANY of my credit cards. I think you are doing this statements in order not to increase my credit score the way I deserve. Secondly, my total credit usage are Much Much lower than you imply. ALL OFMY CREDIT CARDS ARE NOW COMPLETELY FULL WITH MONEY (NOT A PENNY USED FRIM THEM) AND THE ONLY CREDIT LINE- CREATION IS ALRRADY 2/3 REFILLED. I would expect from a company like yours Much more accuracy when is coming about financial details of the clients, specially when I' m paying your company 15 GBP per month for ACCURATE EVALUATION. VERY, VERU DISSAPOINTED IN YOU!
