Totally useless in remote areas
Totally useless in remote areas. No insight of local hospitals and transport possibility. Got absolutely no help with my back pain. Could not get out of bed. Take a taxi. There are no such thing here. Take a bus. Can't get on a bus. I can't even get out of bed. Only way to get out to hospital is on a motor bike. I ask for a doctor. They can't come here they say. What's the use of an insurance that doesn't help. I needed the doctor so he can see I am unfit to fly home. I lost my flight. They will not compensate me, because no doctor can confirm my mobility. Thanks for nothing. Never again will I use this company.

Wrongly informed on automatic renewal of a year contract
Although we requested an insurance for one single travel in 2022, ERV gave us a solution based on annual coverage... and one year after, they forced us to pay for a second year. It seems that this was written somewhere in the small letters of the contracts... but it was clearly not explained to us.

The annual insurance is often a cheaper solution which is why you were recommended to buy it.
When you have an annual insurance we are obliged by law to offer you a renewal of the policy. If you do not wich to renew the policy you are always welcome to cancel the insurance. If you have already paid it and which to cancel then please send your policy number and account number to Kundeambassaden@erv.dk and I will ask one of my colleagues to cancel the policy and make a refund.

Concert Ticket Insurance
We purchased concert insurance only to have the concert rescheduled as the artist was ill. The new date however coincide with our son's wedding 4 days after the ceremony, hosting guests from abroad, and my work. Despite numerous explanations they ERV hid behind some nebulous GCI clauses and did not refund our tickets. Suffice to say this group is an absolute sham and I would not advise buying into their insurance scam. Prove me wrong and I will gladly update my review...and save your trite response of "I'm sorry you were not happy with our services." Rather than pay some student to respond to customer feedback, return money to those who purchase insurance for it's intended purpose.
Actually it does cover in the event in terms of postponement...see below direct from website.
In the event of postponements , the following insured events also apply, provided these were known at the time the postponement date was announced:
official summons as a witness or jury in court,
Graduated from military and civil defense,
already booked holidays,
business occasion,
Invitation to a wedding occasion.

Thank you for providing further information regarding your policy. We cannot see that the information you are referring to is an insurance or claim with Europæiske ERV in Denmark. Could it be with another company?
In general the ticket cancellation insurance does not cover in case the concert is rescheduled and the policy holder is not able to participate on the new concert date. The cancellation insurance covers in case of the one of the claim causes mentioned in the insurance conditions.
I would recommend the you contact the ticket office as they might be able to help you with a refund since the concert has been rescheduled.

Winter vacation insurance - no support at all
I chose EuropeanERV for a skiing insurance for a week, and during my vacation I suffered an accident the very first day, broke my arm and had to visit the local hospital. I filed a claim about the hospital bill and the answer I got was "The hospital bill is not expensive enough so it will not be covered as part of the insurance." I read and understood terms and conditions, but it sound ridiculous and unethical to advertise winter sport insurance and not provide any support, unless I suffer an even more serious injury. So I ended up paying for the medical bill, and for this useless insurance too, which by the way was quite expensive.

You have purchased an insurance with a deductible regarding medical treatment. As the claimed amount was less than your deductible then claim is not covered.

Surprisingly positive experience
I never thought that I would ever write a positive review about any insurance company. I had been traveling for half a year in Asia, and I paid literally nothing for it. Everytime I had an issue (broken surfboard, sickness, lost items, etc.) they paid without a word. Communication was smooth, to make a claim is easy and quick, I'm really surprised. They did not have weird backdoors to escape their liability as I am used to with other insurance companies - including big ones. I hope they would not change this mentality. As long as they remain this reliable and easy to trust, I would definitely opt for them always as a frequent traveler. I still keep a close eye on their policy updates and track alternative companies in case of any bad experience due to profit-oriented behavior.
