Evans Halshaw - Ford Batley Reviews 

Shocking…treat like a second class citizen when I arrived to pick up my new car.
Tried to intimidate me by surrounding me in the car park. My engine management light had come on my car driving down in 30 degree heat from Newcastle…so they immediately started trying to knock my price down on my part exchange …at one stage three of them were stood around me…trying to intimidate me…appealing behaviour…this is a reputable business? And nearly two weeks later still waiting for them to refund money…will never deal with evans halshaw again in my life.

Went to get a pretty expensive 2nd hand car.

1) I was convinced to take out finance even though I came with enough money to buy it outright. I did this because I believed it came with all this warranty cover for free. I even asked "If I do finance, do I get all this for free?" to make sure I understood and he said yes. I later found out, after ringing up the finance company, that I was charged for it.
Even if the guy who delt with me didn't say that they were free, and said something along the lines of "They're included in this price", he definitely knew I thought they were free, and also said yes when I asked if they were.

2) I was told I was taking out the lowest they could do on finance which was supposedly £3000. I later found out that there was almost £5000 on finance

3) I was told that if I paid off within the first 30 days, I would not pay any interest. Again, that was wrong as I had to pay interest on the 7 days I had the account open

4) The car key battery was low. So low that the keyless entry and ignition wouldn't work 10% of the time. I was told he would change the battery. The battery was not changed. I even asked before leaving as I couldn't unlock the car with the key. He came out, unlocked it and just said there you go.

5) The valet was awful. There was a dead bug by the back window, what looks like crisps by the gear stick and thousands of wood chippings in the boot, as well as white marks all along the black door seals.

You'd think they would do a good jobs if you're spending a lot on a car. But they wouldn't even change a key battery at a price of like £2.

The only positive I have from this is that they would give me my money back for all the warranty's I thought were free (even if I did have to ring 3 days running to get it)

Amazing service, picked up a Focus ST today, car is amazing and in immaculate condition. The team is very helpful and friendly. Would recommend to anyone looking for a car.

Warned about using this used car site some days previous but gave them the benefit of doubt and purchased a used vehicle for our granddaughter’s 17th. birthday.If it could go wrong it went wrong. Delivery should have been to our home as it was a surprise - our daughter luckily intercepted it just before it was delivered to her address. Agreed minor repairs were not carried out,V5C not sent even though this had been agreed and boot mat in place when viewing the vehicle was missing.After a few days we found it had a flat front tyre. Phone messages weren’t passed on by sales staff and generally customer service was appalling.

Evans Halshaw in Batley did an excellent job with my car! It is a 2019 car, but the way that they cleaned and it fixed whatever it needed to be fixed, it feels like a brand new car.
The service was absolutely perfect and I recommended this store to every one that needs a car.

I had a great experience at Ford when I wanted to buy a used car the staff were brilliant and great customer service found a car that I loved and signed the paperwork and got the car within the week I would definitely go there again if I needed a new car

Please be aware everyone as I had work carried out on my Ford car by the Evans Halshaw dealership at Batley and was sent an email to review my experience with them and also how they performed Etc. The review I gave was an honest review however when submitting my review, I had a phone call from the Batley dealership asking me why I gave this review, I explained to them the issues I had, and this seemed to aggravate the caller. I then noticed I had an email sent to me which read.
“Thank you for sharing your recent service experience. Unfortunately, your review cannot be published as it did not meet our guidelines. Although we were unable to publish your review, your comments were captured and have been passed to your Dealership We appreciate your feedback. Sincerely, Ford Customer Viewpoint. This looks like to me and I’m sure as everyone else who reads this as a blatant attempt to disregard any negative feedback so, please be aware.

Didn't really know much about what options I had to purchase a car and felt a few times in other places felt rushed by sales people...stopped in Batley and met the most kindest, patient guy, Raja. He took the time to understand my affordability, what I wanted Vs what I could get and I did not feel judged. He was lovely, professional and an asset to the people there, alot of whom don't smile. If you want someone genuine to help then go to Raja.

AMAZING experience wife spoke of go8ng in wasn't really interested as I have had bad experience before from other garages but it was a delight just want to thank the team and especially Mr Raja who went above and beyond to find us a car ..much appreciated

thought I was having somewhat of a decent experience with this company. they encouraged me to make a payment of £100 to reserve my car and £100 additional for my deposit also. on the day of buying my car I asked my sales guy and he said I would receive my payment back. I then rang two weeks on (26/08/2022) to find out that he evidently couldn't be assed to process my refund and that it would be done on that date and was then told I would receive my money back on the following Tuesday to which I haven't. A week on, I called again with the promise of being called back to which I didn't, I then had to call again and told that the two salesmen I spoke to where not in and I would receive another call back to which I didn't yet again. I have then called back again today to which they picked up and he didn't even sound like he cared whatsoever and was told that it was being checked to see where my refund is. please be careful of them as I thought I was buying from a decent sales company, but they evidently have no care or compassion pass buying your car. 4 weeks I have waited for my money back and 2 weeks of pestering them for my money back. not good really as they had no problem contacting me when payment needed sorting for my car. It's an absolute joke will defo never buy from them again.
