The worst experience I've ever had from a car dealership. 6 weeks after taking delivery the car had to be recovered into your Cardiff branch. It was there nearly 4 weeks and the only time someone called me was when it was ready. 4 weeks without the car I'd bought only 6 weeks previously. Absolutely dreadful service.

Many thanks to Richard, Joe and Wesley!
Today we made the trip all the way from Manchester to seal a great deal on a deal for a car that my partner really wanted.
A high level of customer service was offered to us from all three and would highly recommend the dealership. They went above and beyond for us today.
Thanks again!

Got a CLA shooting brake about a month ago, the vehicle had a full service history. The day I picked it up they had lost the paper work and said they would get me another copy. It has now been over a month. No one will return my calls or emails. If I could return the car I would! TERIBBLE SERVICE

How can they get it so wrong?
My wife an I were looking for our next Car. she had always wanted a Kuga and so we went to our local dealer in Cardiff after booking a test drive. I had done my research and new the car but the wife needed to be sure that she would be happy due to disability. Met the sales man had all the usual promise of being kept unto date with our order. placed our order and requested further options and hoped that would be that. After 4 weeks had heard nothing but that feeling in the pit kept eating at me. Called the dealership No answer. Called again in case they were busy. still no answer call rings out. dropped an email to our sales person. no response - maybe on holiday waited and tried again still nothing. ring again nothing rings out and rings out again. even mailed the dealership still nothing. this has been Feb 2nd to date - now had a call kuga should be end of June but the options have not been ordered and now is no longer available, our hero salesman has moved to pastures new but failed to tell s that the options were no longer available. one story after another none of then making sense as they contradict what was said on the call with both a new salesman and then the sales manager who finally used the oldest excuse of I have just taken this role on. What a complete and utter shambles resulting in a lost order of 42k. My advice is find a ford dealer that will take care of you and maybe you will have faith that they may look after your new vehicle when it has a problem or needs a service.

Had a brand new ford explorer in January and the day I took it home the alarm started going off randomly at all different hours for the first three days I had it.
Evans halshaw Cardiff came to collect it took it away for testing.
They had it for 2/3 months and kept saying the alarm wasn’t going off and I’d have to take it back and that there was nothing wrong with it.
Turned out they had disabled sensors and were hoping for me to take it back. Finally got the car rejected. Stay away from them as they are not trustworthy

They need to ensure they communicate with each other ...even though I told staff I was bringing my mobility car in for repair, there was a very long delay in repair to windscreen washer, as they said they were unaware it was a mobility car and had to get permission from DWP..that should have been done prior to me arriving with the car....I had to wait 4hrs...when I was told 2hrs

A bit of a lengthy wait but was probably due to the major refurbishment works taking place at the dealership, MOT carried out thoroughly, a few items discovered under the car which need to be rectified so car failed but happy knowing these items need to sorted for safety and efficient running of my car, as a bonus the car was washed and given a mini valet inside.

Had my car in for work to be completed, was booked in for the 10th car was there on the 2nd as the gentleman said if they can get it in before hand they will, and it was All paid for in full on the 3rd. Moving on the the 10th late afternoon I phoned them to ask for a update on my vehicle, and the woman on the phone said that the work wasn't finished and will be finished the following day due to it being a big job. I stated that my car hasn't moved or been started since I dropped it off and I know this due to being a tracker on the car and I can see everything, the woman then change what she said and said it will be started tomorrow. So lying to customers, and why have a appointment date if it not being met. Also I paid for a service on the car and all they changed was the oil and the filter very dissatisfied.

This dealership is a honour to visit Will the salesman is a genuine person all polite and helpful there was a confusion with the vehicle I came to see and will did all he could to rectify the problem but instead refunded my wife and I train transport in full went see his manager and both agreed to pay for our train tickets to and back to our home. Not there fault but a little human error (which is why we are all human ) wasn’t just fobbed off was respected this is what we need today genuine customer satisfaction i applaud you all a BIG THANK YOU.

Went to purchase a new car at the Cardiff branch, Newport Road , made enquiries first trip. Second trip had decided the car I wanted. Jules was amazing. Went over and beyond for us (my partner and I) made our experience quite stress free and straight forward. Jules is open to questions and always ready to assist whenever. Great service, warm welcome. Nothing to complain about. Thank you Jules.

I went in the showroom and was quite keen to buy a ford puma gen-e. I had jeans, tshirt and jacket on. Waited over 20 minutes, in that time a smart looking family were immediately helped, then 2 others. 1 helped by a guy who was on a desk with head phones, who I thought was busy. I got fed up of being ignored, walked out and went to the Audi centre. Same day I ordered Audi A3 sportback and will be paying cash.
Your loss Ford

At the Cardiff Ford branch I was told I needed a £2000 timing belt replacement but that was changed last year. The garage tried to trick me by sending me a video of the aux belt, claiming that it was the timing belt and was due to be replaced. Would get any advice they give checked (last time they said i needed £1000 worth of suspension work so i went to another large garage for a 2nd opinion and they said it was completely fine).

Absolutely gutted. Purchased a gorgeous Hyundai Tucson from Evans Halshaw Cardiff around a year ago. Sold the 2 year guarentee under the sales pitch of it covering ‘everything but the consumables’ (I’m aware there would be exclusions, that’s not the issue). The service at point of sale was fab. Wesley was friendly, answered all our questions and made everything easy.
Fast forward to a year later when my engine management light comes on. As well as a sensor indicator malfunction. I followed the guarentee instructions and emailed the address for the garage, received a response from Craig who advised we’d need to book in with servicing. All good so far. Received a call from service dept who left a voicemail. Great. Called back less than an hour later, no answer. This happened weeks ago. I have been calling the service dept number a couple of times most days, at varied times, with no answer. I have sent 4 unanswered emails to Craig to pretty much beg for help, to no avail. Nearly £800 for a policy that may or may not cover the faults on my vehicle, but I have no clue because it seems the company are more inclined to ignore me than try and help get it sorted. I’ve even sent an email asking if I should find a local vat reg garage to diagnose and contact them. But again, no answer. No contact.
Point of sale service was great, guarentee and service issues and customer service, absolutely shocking. Off to look at how I make an official complaint and try one more time to not have to pay for works done on my vehicle that I shouldn’t have to pay for.

I have no words to fully articulate how horrified I am with the service or lack thereof that I experienced. I had an MOT and service here, free of charge as last year they messed up big time. I asked for a copy of the service and its outcome, we will email it to you they said; informing me that the driver side front tyre was close to the legal limit. So having waited from July 8th until August 5th, still no email. I am due to undertake a long drive so I went into the garage to get a print off of the vehicle health check. I have no words, well no good words, my car had red against the brake pads and discs, the break fluid, the coolant protection and the front and back wipers. How in the world would a garage that I have used for years not advise me of these critical facts? I could have been in a serious accident with my husband or any one of my precious grandchildren. What on earth are you thinking of not to advise me of these issues. In your own descriptor you write, ‘ the brakes discs are approaching minimum braking efficiency and that the brake pads require replacing to maintain safe operation’ and finally the brake discs, ‘ are below minimum safety measurements reducing braking efficiency and require immediate replacement’. I was so horrified when I eventually got sight of the print out which I consider to be gross negligence. I could have been involved in a serious accident had I not had the common sense to get the information that you were unable to email, in spite of your assurances to do so. I also emailed your manager to request the print off of the vehicle health check, this request was also ignored. , How can you treat your customers so carelessly. Your company is a disgrace. This is clearly a breach of Consumer Rights Act 2015. You have a duty of care to your customers and you have not met your legal obligations. You were aware of the faults and you failed to inform me. You have a legal and ethical obligation, you have failed on both counts.

Recently part exchanged my vehicle and purchased a used Kia sportage from Evans Halshaw Cardiff we met with Richard who was great at explaining everything and made the process fast and efficient. Richard kept us updated throughout the whole process - we wanted some work done to the vehicle before collecting and he made sure that was all done to a high standard for us!
Would recommend purchasing a vehicle from here and if you get the chance to deal with Richard it will be a smooth experience. Thanks Richard appreciate the service.
