Absolutely appalling service, husband bought a very expensive car which was sold with a three year warranty, very quick to take his money....not as quick to deal with issues relating to the car, even during the three year warranty period. He has been without a car for nine months, yet still paying for it.
No response from any one with regards to rectifying this situation and managers seem to never be available, wonder if this is due to them being too busy dealing with other complaints.
Would suggest avoiding at all costs.

They are very helpful and accommodating to get their sale, then it goes downhill. I was sold a land rover for over £20,000, with a 3 year warranty. The car breaks down within the warranty period, I was assured the breakdown would be covered. 9 months later, I am still paying for the car, and the dealership/staff ignore official complaints, dont respond when pressed, won't fix the car because it's not 'cost effective' for them. I still have 2 years of finance to pay, and have to borrow family cars and use public transport to get to work. Still not resolved

So many things but they are all about people not doing the job they receive a salary for. Paperwork missing , no explanations of problems. Car is in the garage, people note problems but have to take car back in another time. Conversations had but not noted or passed on whether spoken face to face , phoned or messaged. Even when I explain to some staff they inform me my car should have this/that but it doesn't which baffles them. Others just don't care . Worst experience of a car purchase I have ever had . Maybe my expectations were too high . A main dealer I thought would of exceeded them possibly. Sadly nowhere near.

I provided Phil with what I was looking for with the car and my budget, within minutes I was given multiple options at a very reasonable price, within budget. Phil made completion of the purchase/finance stress free and guided me through the whole process. Booked my car for vehicle check, full servicing & MOT. The car showed a warning light for some hours and later disappeared just a day before. I informed the guy at the front desk about it when I went to dropped the car. I told him I should be contacted after the checks so we can discuss repairs before MOT. Further telling him the car has been well maintained with 100% MOT history and no advisories, so I don’t want it to fail. I emphasised on contacting me to discuss repairs before doing the MOT. We agreed that I will be contacted if they find anything during the check. However, no one contacted me, seems they intentionally carried out the MOT so it could fail when clearly the vehicle check report shows “investigation required” on the part that made it fail. Then I was called afterwards, given an outrageous bill for repairs and was told because it has failed MOT I will have to repair and retest with them or if I want to take it to another garage, I will be given a form to sign that I chose to take the car away from them even when it had failed MOT as I shouldn’t be driving it. I had no choice but to get it repaired with them. In all, I regret my decision of visiting Evans Halshaw… never again

I don't know what the service entailed what was included in it my mum has a service plan with her car every time she goes to her garage they wash and hoover the car I would say they have only ever washed my car twice I've been going there for ten years I've renewed my service plan each time

My Ford Kuga Diesel Estate 1.5 EcoBlue was checked into Evans Halshaw, Chester (EHC), following problems associated with a loss of power and messages related to the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF). I had hoped this would be covered under the warranty I purchased when I bought the vehicle as the car has only done 46,457 miles.
I was informed that EHC were awaiting a decision from Ford with regard to warranty. This is a lie. The warranty I had purchased was through Pendragon a product sold by EHC.
The work completed was a replaced intercooler pipe and a completed DPF regen. With parts, labour and VAT the total bill was £454.36.
My dissatisfaction with EHC led me to cancel my Service Plan with them as I was unhappy with their lack of honesty, empathy and care. Sadly the story does not end there.
Six miles after driving away from the garage the engine management warning light came on. I tried to contact EHC, but the Service Desk is poor at answering the phone. In desperation, I called the New Car Sales line and hey presto it was answered within 4 rings. I expressed what had happened to the person who answered the phone and he assured me that he would relay a message to the Service Team and that they would call me back. He even commented that the situation I found myself in was “not ideal”. The following day arrived, still no call back. I visited EHC online chat portal and explained the situation. Once again I was informed that the Service Team would be contacted and that I should expect a call back. From when the engine management light appeared after leaving the garage on Thursday May 28th 2026 to writing this message on Monday June 1st EHC has failed to contact me.
I have many words and phrases that could describe EHC in this instance I will go with the following:
Disappointing, underwhelming and uncaring.
