Great team of people work at this site.
The branch is easy to access and has a good display of new and used vehicles.
As I said in my previous comment Graeme is a dream to deal with, always giving us sound advice and explanations of what meets our requirements.
While Graeme remains at the Darlington site He will be guaranteed our future business.

Bought a transit connect recently, everything was excellent at the point of sale. Had the van a few weeks and there is water coming in the foot wells which is squelching cause it’s that wet.
I have called the Darlington Transit branch on a few occasions and been passed from pilar to post for the past week. At one point I was advised to take it to a Middlesbrough Branch, which I called only to be told they don’t deal with vans.
I have had not one call back, I’ve had to chase them and another branch said they would raise a complaint with the manager on Thursday, still no calls.
The aftercare is really poor and I am really disappointed. I went from been happy I had a new van to really dissatisfied and no one helps.
I would give it no stars at the moment and would not recommend this company.
We have sent an email to the email provided and this has come back undelivered. We have completed a complaint form and still no contact.
In the meantime the transit is still wet inside and smells foisty. We have to put the heaters on in the warm weather to clear the windows, as there is condensation with it been damp. This needs sorting contact should be made direct to my partner.

First time buying a car online and found it so easy. I was kept in the loop at every step. The salesman Michael couldn't have been more helpful. I was very impressed.

Always friendly and efficient. John takes us through all the processes in plain English and answers any questions we have and tells us to call in at any time with any problems or questions in the future.

Bought a used car for my daughter. Salesman Michael Walls was outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble for him, he was a credit to the company. Can't fault the entire buying experience I had. Would use again.

I needed to do a part exchange.
Went online and Claire responded, so I responded and then she didn't...
So I went along anyway.
Went in the door and a couple of staff just went past having a chat about something and a dude on the computer just carried on with his computing while I stood there like a lemon. Eventually he asked me if I was okay. I said I needed to buy a car. Seemed like a real imposition for the fella because I didn't know what I wanted.
Whatever the opposite of "nothing's too much trouble for the customer" is what I got. Thought "sod this" and went home.
Went on Cazoo and got a car in no time.
Much better. No humans.

I saw a vehicle that I thought would be perfect on the Evans Halshaw website, and with such a lot going on personally at the moment, I took advantage of the home delivery scheme. Unfortunately, this is something that I regret.
First of all, I set a day aside for delivery of the vehicle which didn't actually turn up. Around 4pm on the day of delivery I was finally told that it wouldn't be arriving that day as the courier had made a mistake. Strange how the salesman was in the showroom when I first called on his day off and was trying to sort it out despite them apparently not knowing there were any issues with the delivery.
I was told the vehicle was in immaculate condition, however when it arrived there was a panel out of alignment with the rest of the panels and a scuff on the front bumper. Not the immaculate condition described. It has also been very poorly valeted.
Before purchasing the vehicle I asked two main questions.
Firstly, what is the tax? I was told this would be less than my current vehicle due to the hybrid engine of my new car. Imagine my surprise when a payment over 3 times the amount of my previous vehicle went out. Turns out there is a surcharge on the vehicle they had kept quiet about and not told me. Their response... it's your responsibility to check this. Surely I should be able to trust what the dealership are telling me about a vehicle? And, because I'd given my bank details (for the lesser amount) apparently I'd consented to the money being taken from my account. According to Citizen's Advice, this is fraud and I will be reporting it to my bank for them to investigate.
The second question I asked was about the returns policy. I was nervous about purchasing a car that I hadn't seen so I specifically asked the question, "if I don't like the vehicle, I can return it within 14 days, correct?" The response, "yes of course you can, no problem at all". So, imagine my next surprise when I ask to return the vehicle, with this tax issue being the last straw to be asked how many miles have you done and then told no sorry we won't take it back. There had been no discussion about any conditions for the return, just "yes of course you can, no problem at all".
I understand that as a buyer, I have to take responsibility to gather information about whether it is the right car for me, however I asked the questions, and was given incorrect information from Evans Halshaw about the vehicle I purchased, who are not willing to take any of the responsibility for this whatsoever.
I'm happy to take responsibility when I make a mistake, but I feel I asked the right questions, just wasn't given the fair and full answer from the salesman.
There have been a number of times I have contacted the salesman, just to be told he wasn't available and that he would call me back, however only once did he actually return my call.
It seems to me that this dealership of Evans Halshaw are happy to blame everyone else for their mistakes - the courier, me the government, but take no responsibility themselves.
I would not go near this dealership and will be contacting the Motor Ombudsman, my bank and Trading Standards about this. Protect your money and shop elsewhere.
