Poor explanation of why I had to pay additional £102.98 for a service top up when I have their service plan. Also Branch sales manager stated to me you can damage your car if you service it too often haha, never knew changing oil and filters will damage the car.

I acknowledge that I am what iting this mid rage and fresh off a completely frustrating phone call with the seervice department in East Kilbride.
From speaking to the receptionist last week and being told un unbelievable amount of nonsense, including the advice that I should take my car to an alternative non Ford garage as Ford would be unable to fix one of the issues I had. This is a 3 yr old car that I bought new from Ford and the issue was with a Ford component that was on the car when it left the factory.
Anyway today handed my car in early this morning. I advised the receptionist that the undertray had come loose and that I had cable tied it into place just to get it to the garage but it would need replaced and that it would need fixed / replaced or it would fail its MOT (one of the reasons that it was in.
I asked the receptionist to call me when it was clear that I could pick it up today or if it was going to take longer as I was going to stay local, instead of going home (80 miles round trip).
Anyway about 3.30 I noticed that the garage had emailed me. Would you believ to say that the car had failed the OT due to the undertray.
I phoned and asked that they please just go ahead and fix it. I was told that would be fine. However as it failed the MOT it would need to be retested and that would be tomorrow.
I asked why it was MOT'd with the undertray hanging off instead of fixing it and then carry out the MOT.
The receptionist apologised for this and all of the above and advised that the original receptionist that I had dealt with on the phone had since left the company between me dropping my car off this morning and speaking to receptionist two on the phone.
I would like to name drop her as she was excellent, apologetic and understanding and was gouing to try and expediate things. Not sure about the rules in naming people but her Initial was C

Once again it was a stress free experience for me to trade in and buy new car. This is my second car, first was also purchased from Evans Halshaw EK. I was given the perfect browsing time before Jason, sales agent approached me, answered all my questions and left me to browse No pressure sales, courteous and very knowledgeable. Extremely happy with service and would encourage anyone looking to purchase new or used car to visit showroom.

⭐ A Big Warning – Stay Away From This Dealer

Advice to management: You cannot run a business for long if you lose the confidence of your customers.

I purchased Nissan Qashqai from the East Kilbride branch on Sep25th , and from day one the car had serious issues:

Engine fault indicator on immediately
Two leaking left-side tyres
Scratch on the left mirror

I reported everything on the same day. They told me it was “nothing” and would be fixed in a few days. After that, I kept calling and calling, but they never gave me an appointment until 18 November and almost 45 days after purchase.

Now I don’t even have the car with me, the service team cannot tell me when it will be repaired, and they have not provided a courtesy car, despite the major inconvenience. This has been extremely stressful, especially since I have a 4-month-old baby and rely on a safe vehicle.

They sold me a faulty car from Day 1. Please do not fall for their traps like the “premium guarantee plan.” It sounds reassuring, but when you actually need help, the guarantee team won’t even answer calls after 5 PM, not even for road assistance. You are honestly better off taking proper coverage through your own insurance instead.

I regret trusting their reassurances and believing them was my mistake.

Dealers like this are seriously damaging customer trust and spoiling the entire buying experience.

My 76 year old mother purchased a car from this dealership. The car had 2 noted faults, tyre air loss and a fluid leak. Both faults were recognised and acknowledged when the car was prepared for our collection. The tyre warning light was on during the test drive. On hindsight, this approach from the dealership, for the customer completing a planned test drive with a warning light on sums the dealership up. The leak was repaired at the third attempt, a new sump. The leak has damaged my mother and my own driveway. The dealership doesn’t care. We continue to try and liaise with the garage around the air loss. I’ve been waiting on a call from the garage since 13 October to have the car booked in. I have had an apology this evening from Graham, I’ve lost count of the number of apologise from the garage. My mums car has been off the road since 10 October. The garage don’t care about this. I am advised tonight by Graham there is no date to when the car will now be taken into the garage. I was asked to drop the car off as there is no driver to collect my mums car. My mum is 76 years old, she drives locally and East Kilbride is 13 miles from her home. She is not able to do this. My frustrations is the lack of courtesy afforded from the dealership, and extremely poor communication. We do not get return calls when advised, we get no notification to when the car is being returned, on one occasion my mums ring door bell alerted her that the car was returned with the driver posting keys through letter box. No phone call to advise? No detail to what work was carried out. This is the standard from this dealership and after sales team. To sum up, lack of faith in the technicians completing diagnosis and repairs on the car, poor communication and the manager appears bereft of ideas to address the situation, I am not mechanically trained he advised me tonight, neither am I Graham, however, if I work in a car dealership, and they cannot fix air loss in 2 tyres after 10 weeks, I’d be concerned. I don’t need to end this message by suggesting I would not recommend this dealership.

Staff are always helpful and friendly

Recently purchased a Used Ford Kuga dealt with Gary from Sales and James . I needed a specific car to tow and had researched along with my Son Jonathan who also works as a Ford Mechanic for the branch . Gary went online and sourced the perfect one and to my delight the car had an electric tow bar . The car arrived and the Condition and Specification was more than what I had asked for . All three members went above and beyond . Delighted with my overall experience and car thank you

Recieved a valuation (valid for 7 days) for my car from Evans Halshaw website.
The car was 100% as described with full service history.
Made an appointment on the website and when I arrived, the member of staff took the car for a short drive. He came back and said, “the car is excellent, totally immaculate but I can’t give you the price on the website valuation as we can’t sell it for enough.”
He went on to explain that the website valuations are not accurate (even though the website guarantees the price as long as the vehicle is as described).
He tried to offer £1300 less for the car which I obviously refused. He then went to ask his manager who also offered £1300 less than the valuation as they wouldn’t be able to sell it for enough.

Made an appointment for Arnold Clark in East Kilbride for 15 mins later, they offered the full amount with no hesitation.

Avoid Evans Halshaw. They are dishonest and not matching their own offer is verging on fraudulent.

The Ford dealership in East Kilbride is a chance to step back in time 50 years to when car dealerships treated after sales customers as an irritation, towards whom they had difficulty hiding their disinterest or even contempt. It would exhaust me to list all the examples but I won’t order another Ford car as their attitude to after sales is so unsatisfactory. Be warned!
