Friendly and helpful team. I appreciate the video showing the free health check on my car so I understand the report better.
It is also extremely helpful that, because I live locally, the garage will collect my car and return it to my home for free if I request this help. Before my retirement, they would collect and return my car to my place of work.

Just purchased my second car from this dealership both times and Amazing experience this time we were dealing with Anthony Skayman brilliant from day 1 got the car we wanted and went way beyond making sure we had the perfect deal and car and nothing was too much trouble even gave the car an extra valet and drop me off at home and picked me up when it was done excellent service and will definitely get my next car from this dealership. I know I can trust them with my car. That's why I drive 20miles past my local ford dealership to get to Evanz Halshaw Gainsborough.

On the 31 May I set off to Evans Hashaw York to look for a new car, on route I looked on the website and saw a car at Gainsborough Evans Halshaw that I liked the look of. Having a look around York we asked if they had anything similar. They didn’t and so we mentioned going to Gainsborough for it but were told that it could be transferred to York for £99 and that York do better point checks than Gainsborough would as they had higher standards. Why does Evans Halshaw allow this to happen, it seemed a bit bizarre as they are the same company and surely run from the same checks. However we were told york is a more affluent area than Gainsborough and so the standard is higher. Couldn’t quite believe what I was hearing. However I paid £99 for the transfer as York is closer to us than Gainsborough and was told it should be with them by Monday, and then they would do their checks, two weeks at the most before it could be released to me.
One week later I called for an update the car was still at Gainsborough, 2 weeks later it had arrived that day but with 2 dents in the doors and front grills that needed to be ordered and replaced. At no point in the advertisement or when asking for the transfer were we made aware of this, the car had only done 7000 miles.
Why did Gainsborough take 2 weeks to check the car then send it substandard. Why do Evans Halshaw allow this? As it would seem the York branch was well aware this does happen. So I was supposed to wait again for parts and fitting. At this point I lost faith in the company altogether and bought a car elsewhere that have standards across their sites and advertise appropriately, I think I had a lucky escape.

Disappointed

Evans Halshaw Gainsborough has great customer service and mechanics that have been there for a long time. This is no way a review for Lincoln Ford where I’ve had terrible customer service.

Friendly ,polite ad helpful and does what it says on the tin.

Dealt with Anthony in getting my first cars finance sorted and everything was explained fully and patiently. Would recommend him to work with for any financing

they collected my car , gave it a service and delivered it back on my drive, all i had to do was give them the keys, all done great.

Do not buy a car from Gainsborough branch, very poor, car not as their quality statements state on website, problems still ongoing to date

Excellent service

If only we could give zero stars.

Poor after sales experience from Gainsborough. Purchased a car around Christmas and within 3 weeks the car had a mechanical failure. The Gainsborough store promised me they would cover the cost, stating it’s within 30 days of purchase - but when it came down to being repaired they refused. From then they refused to call me back or answer any emails for 2 months, finally got through to them and negotiated a price for it be repaired but it was an extremely painful process.

One part I would point out, the staff at Wigan where the car was repaired were exceptional and acted in the way you would expect.

Overall, I lost 2 days of work being on the phone and travelling to the garage for the whole repair process to last 3 months. I would recommend purchasing your car from anywhere else - it’s not worth the hassle.

The service is second to none, and everyone that i deal with can't do enough for you, and that's why i come to Gainsborough instead of Lincoln.

I was able to phone the branch directly to book my MOT and was kept informed throughout the day as to progress. Overall, I was very pleased with the service received.

They are professional with a friendly manner, always courteous and never to busy to deal with your mechanical issues to help get you back on the road. Every year or even a phone call to the Gainsborough Service Centre, its nice to hear their voices on the other side of the call. Peace of mind from them to know that your vehicle is in safe hands at the Service Centre.
