Evans Halshaw - FordStore Old Trafford Reviews 

Bought a used Ford Focus in 9th June 2025. I travelled from Edinburgh to Manchester by train after receiving a personal video stating the car was in excellent condition to pay and collect the car. The Salesperson did not show me the car prior to payment as he said it was getting valeted. After payment he asked me to do a google review and mention his name stating he should get a pay rise. I was then taken to the car I asked if he would show me anything I needed to know he said it’s all pretty standard and handed the keys. Upon driving out the garage the car displayed showed I had 3 miles of fuel left so desperately needed to find a garage. When I got back to Edinburgh I immediately sent an email with photos showing two small dents in the roof and a large bubbling of the inside of the front door panel. The Salesperson took months trying to get other branches in Edinburgh to fix this and failed asking me to take it to a Coachworks in Edinburgh to get the car assessed and an estimate, which I did and he then said it the cost was too much and asked me to drive the car to Manchester for them to fix it, which I refused. He then stated the faults occurred after he sold it, I then escalated to the Sales Manager. He promised to get it fixed in Scotland and promised their Coachwork people would phone me to bring the car in. They didn’t and I said I’m escalating to their CEO and I had a full audit trail of multiple emails and phone calls. He then agreed that I would put it into the Coachworks they had originally asked me to get the estimate and that I should pay for it and they would then pay me directly into my bank account. I did this and asked for the money to be paid which needed further 2 weeks of chasing as the Sales Manager was on holiday and the original Salesperson did not even respond to my emails. On 22nd August 2025, I got a Sales Executive who asked me to email him directly with the email chain and would take personal responsibility to get it paid, I was paid the money same day - so thank you Tahir you did what you said you would do. Unfortunately the experience has shown their are some real gaps in professionalism with some of the Sales People at Evan’s Halshaw and you might be lucky and get Tahir but equally you could get a very poor unprofessional service from others, it’s a lucky dip what level of service you will get.

The garage are completely clueless. Dawn couldn't even find my booking and then told the engineers it wasn't for another day so my car didn't get looked at on time. Then she rang me to try and push extra repairs which weren't needed.

The customer service from the Old Trafford dealership has plummeted over the last few years. In 2017 the sales people would be in touch regularly to see if things were going well (sometimes a bit too regularly) but they were always there on the other end of the phone. Now, just because the car is being returned at the end of the contract period and the vehicle being offered doesn’t suit my budget, the business cannot be bothered to respond to emails or calls. The current company sales people are more interested in trying to impress customers with the commission they will receive for selling a Mustang than trying to work out a deal for a Puma. Seriously considering getting a Skoda, the agents have been great.

Jacob Warburton showed me the car and i bought it a few days later. Jacob was brilliant I had trouble with doing the transaction on my phone. It took me a long time and he helped me sorted it all out. Many thanks to Jacob for helping me. I am sorry it took me so long.

Purchased new focus on 4\3\2025 fault showed up on 10\3\2025 formally rejected vehicle on 2\4\2025 since then constant delaying tactics, car been in three times for one day, 24 hours and seven days without fixing problem. Nothing can be done unless customer complains to Ford customer services and asks for a case number but they don't tell you you need ask for one. If you don't ask for case number your complaint is not official. They promise to call back but don't, I feel once the car sold they don't care about you.

Purchased a used (like new!) Ford Transit Connect from Evans Halshaw at the Trafford Centre recently and collected it yesterday. Efficient process and excellent customer service especially from Darren!! Would definitely recommend this dealership.

Too expensive and they use a really dodgy app called BUMPER to make payments - my bank, NAT WEST, stopped and flagged the payment to the company company as a fraud risk. Very cheap dodgy looking app for the prices they charge

If I could give these guys 10 stars I would! My car needed a few jobs on recall from Ford and what a service I got! Great cheerful ladies in reception to the jobs being completed in hrs! One was the airbag recall and no problem for Evans! Can’t recommend highly enough absolutely brilliant from start to finish a few garages I’ve been to over the years could learn a lot from these guys 👌

Avoid at all costs. This branch is a joke. The have owed me £99 since 24th March and despite multiple chasers and promises it is being refunded I still don't have my money back.
They also ignore emails if there isn't a benefit to them.
Never had the displeasure to deal with such a unprofessional dealer in my life. I'm so relieved the couldn't find me the car they promised me they could. Don't waste any of your time or money with them.

Car was booked in for an MOT, service and repair.

Dawn and Maria dealt with booking me in and collection. Dawn was fantastic as signposting the expected service, explaining my options and keeping me updated. Maria was then just as fantastic when it came to explaining my bill and a streamlined collection.

The area felt high end and made for a great first, and lasting, impression. The work carried out was impressive and the cleaning of the car was a nice bonus.

Not only will I be a returning customer but also an advocate of Evans Halshaw Old Trafford going forward. I would highly recommend.
