My local dealer was quoting a further 3 months i.e 6 months on total to look at my car for a rattling boot and other warranty issues. I was passing and popped in to Evans Halshall Hyundai in Warrington. To my surprise they stated 2 weeks. So dropped the car off on the 27th December 2025. Picked it up the same day and they told me that it would all be under warranty and they would be in touch when the parts were in. It’s now the 31 March 2026 and they have not returned a single call!!! I have left messages and web messages etc and I have heard nothing. The last time I called I refused to hang up as I told them that no one has called me back so I was cut off. Called back immediately and the guy admitted cutting me off. Asked to speak to the manager I was told no she was busy. Raised a complaint with Hyundai Uk and Evan’s Halshall. All i have had back is an apology from Evan’s halshaw stating they would speak with the managers. Absolute joke of a dealership.

Went to Evans Halshaw today. It was obviously short staffed and there was pressure on the staff there to cope with the amount of customers. The parts manager was so helpful even though he was doing two jobs. Also the receptionist was lovely. They actually fixed a problem with my car that 3 visits to kwik fit failed to do. Thank you to the wonderful staff and to the mechanic who fixed my car. It’s actually stopped shaking on the motorway. Great result for me on a problem that has been hounding me since January.

I booked online and was called for confirmation of the appointment. My name was not in the system on the day and had to wait for about 5 hours. It would have been a very pleasant experience otherwise.

Rang in January to book service, they gave me a date and I asked them to confirm via email. Did not receive confirmation, so called a week later and spoke to Dominic who confirmed my 'booking' again I asked him to send me a confirmation....that never arrived.
I called in the week before concerned about my booking.
I spoke to Tom who confirmed No Booking had been done but got me booked in for the same date.
After vehicle went in, later that day I rang to see whether it was ready but 3 phone attempts cause kept getting 'cut off'. Eventually got told needed parts. I said for them to keep overnight
Next day I rang in the afternoon but again kept getting cut off and when eventually got through got told parts hadn't arrived( why didn't service ring me and let me know) However I said keep it overnight again. The next day we had the same problem again with trying to get through on the phone, we actually waited 15mins on the phone to connected,at the same time I was travelling to the garage, we still hadn't been coonnected. Honestly, I've never had a problem getting my vehicles serviced anywhere until I took it to Evans Halshaw. Warrington

I purchased a jeep from Evans halshaw to find it has a safety recall on it six months prior. Obviously they don’t do the vital checks.they Blame everyone but them selves. This still should not happen best advice they can give go get it fixed. So annoying I have to pay for a hire car because jeep need it for a full day , the garage is a good 40 min drive . Just one complaint in a whole line of issues. Dirty car on collection find previous owners sweet wrappers in the arm rest compartment. Hair in the back seats and feet marks on the back centre con I sent a screenshot of the car I wanted it had gone down 300 pound online but still charged me the price I screenshot it weeks before prof was sent ,I’ve contacted the customer help 24hrs we will be back in touch five days later not a word from them . Wish id read the reviews now .
Update!!I contacted the email address they replied to my review with . One email to say we will get back to you . No surprise over a week later nothing.!!!!! Avoid at all cost aftercare is non existent.

First time buying from Evans Halshaw, I found the process from start to finish very professional. Chris Barker found me a car within my price range in an extremely timely manner, kept me up to date with the process until collection. I would highly recommend.

I've had a first full service done at Warrington branch on the 12th November. 2 days later my 'low screen wash' screen came on my car.. which means that hasn't been done. I filled in a Questionaire that was sent via email straight afterwards, which said somebody would be in touch they haven't. 6 weeks after the 'apparent service' my GPF light has come on, which I cannot get off at all after doing all the relevant things suggested. I have requested the service schedule 3 times.... nobody gets back to me. Ive just been sent a copy of the invoice. I want the schedule showing what work has been done on the service like I get from other dealerships. Its a first service. I get this from from all dealerships upon completion of a service. I haven't had one from them. The car was in for few hours I don't think its been serviced properly or at all. If it has, why wasn't the screen wash topped up and why is the GPF light on 6 weeks after? Its like pulling teeth trying to get an answer. There is no service schedule I have been told.... Been told to fill in the contact form online... that's not working ...
Just wanted to edit this review on the 1st July. Still had no communication from this dealership... take no notice of their reply

I booked the car in to check out and fix the brakes that were spongy, rectified within a few hours whilst I worked at the garage showroom. Very good updates and all fixed and working as they should.

i bought a mazda 3 from evans halshaw hyundai in warrington and the car had some missing body work which i was promised by the sales associate that they would order. After a couple weeks of waiting i decided to phone up to see if there's been any progress to which i was informed that the sales associate had left.
I made a service appointment and explained the situation to which they said they would honour everything that's missing from my car i jus have to bring it in so they can check what's missing. i had my first appointment mid december which they had to reschedule due to short staffing, so we rescheduled to early january. i didn't get an email to confirm my booking so i phoned up early january to double check when im due in and they told me my car hasn't been booked in full stop to which i had to rebook for the 22nd of january. I was told on the phone to come in early at 8:00am and they'd look over my car and have me on my way and i even got a text confirmation to bring my car in FOR 8:00am. On the day of the appointment i arrived before the doors where open and i was told since im the first car here they should have me out the way fairly quick.
fast forward to 12:00 o clock i noticed my car hasn't moved and im starting to think "what's going on"
i go round to ask and i get told my car is next in for service and i should be out for 13:30.
13:30 comes around and there's been no change so i go and ask again and i got told my car was booked in for 17:00
I wasted my whole day, petrol and energy waiting on a simple checklist on my car because of miscommunication and simply a lack of care.
i phoned up after to reschedule and i simply got a "well call you back when someone's free" and since the 22nd january i haven't heard back?
Abit of a joke

I found it extremely difficult to get through to the dealership with telephones not being answered and receiving no communication even though contact details of a mobile number and email address given. Upon asking why? I found out an email was sent to an incorrect email address.
My complaint of joyriding was reported to the service manager upon collection of my vehicle, and was informed that a full investigation would take place, and would be contacted the next day after I supplied contact details. I left it a couple of days before replying again to the service managers email to say no one has been intouch.

Most quick and simple car buying experience I have ever had! Chris Parker is a credit to Evans Halshaw, rang me when he said he would , explained everything in detail, was very honest and up front about everything, and “ old school gentleman “ an absolute pleasure to deal with.Even happy to communicate with me on his day off! It was well worth the 40 minute trip to Warrington for the service my husband and I received, absolutely love our new car and wouldn’t hesitate contacting Chris again if we were looking for a car . Thank you! Karolyn & Rob

Got took in for a faulty clutch and didnt get the car back for 6 months. No apology for length of time or any explanation why took so long, car returned with crack in the windscreen which i will sort in the new year but honestly apart from the courtesy car (whuch i had to wait 3 months for) woupd not recommend this company at all.

Buying the car was of course easy as you’d expect when there is money to hand over it’s all good. Pay a grand for a warranty? Forget about it they beat around the bush and do anything to avoid fixing anything on the car also make sure you do a full inspection of what ever car you buy as mine had all kinds of body work and issues like the grill was flaking away there was a rust spot on the door the wheels were cheaply painted that’s all flaking away and wasn’t until weeks later I noticed a serious judder when full locking the steering. I’ve never known a place to be so frustrating to deal with just make sure you get the car sorted before you tie a rope round your neck paying it off these guys will not do anything to help fix your car honestly don’t pay for the warranty because nothing will get sorted.

Purchased a car last week from Evan’s Halshaw Warrington, great customer service throughout with Mia Baxter, the part ex & buying process was straightforward, no pressure, explained well & not rushed at all & I was kept up to date with progress via email as I wasn’t able to collect the car for a week. As Mia was on holiday the day I collected, the handover was done by Ellie, once again great customer service & Mia contacted me again this week to check that I was happy with everything.
Thank you again Mia & Ellie

To begin with, they don’t answer the phone, so from the very start, that should have been a red flag. Still, they had a car I wanted in the colour scheme I wanted. As it’s a rare car in the UK, I persevered and finally got hold of someone. I went to see it on the 10th of June. Upon seeing the car, the electric lumbar didn’t work. I have a bad back, so this was important for me. They said if I bought the car they would happily fix this.
On the 12th of June 2025 I returned to collect the car. Upon driving it home from the dealership I discovered that the wipers, the daytime running lights, full beam, and fog light didn’t work. I told them by email on the same day I got the car and they agreed to look into these problems when the car went back for the lumbar to be fixed.
I emailed on the 17th of June to enquire if the lumbar support part had arrived, and they booked me in for Thursday the 24th of June for this to be fitted. However, during this extended time with the car I noticed the brakes had issues too. They agreed to look at this too, when it came in on the 24th. Unfortunately, despite being told when I bought the car, I’d be able to have a courtesy car, I didn’t. And so I had to spend nearly £60 on 2 Taxis and 2 Trains that day.
I also noticed the electric parking brake doesn’t work. And yes, that too is an MOT fail. Clearly no pre-sale checks have been done on this car.
The 24th came and I dropped my car off. I was happy when I picked it up, as the lumbar had been fixed, they’d also stated that it needed a new stalk for the wipers and lights, as it was those that didn’t work. They didn’t mention anything about the parking brake, but agreed to renew the discs and pads for the juddering.
However, despite the win with the lumbar in the seat, things only got worse from here…
I sent an email on the 30th of June 2025 to chase up the parts for the lights and wipers. This email was ignored and never replied to.
I called on the following dates too…
30/06/2025 - Called multiple times, no answer, gave up.
01/07/2025 - Called multiple times, no answer, the first few times. Tried again later in the day, got through, told would call me back. They didn’t.
02/07/2025 - Called multiple times again, no answer most of the day, got through early afternoon, told would call me back, they didn’t.
02/07/2025 - Called end of the day, got through again, told would call me back, they didn’t.
03/07/2025 - Finally called me back the following morning and told me they were still waiting for the part.
In the meantime, I called the finance company and logged the issues with them, as at this point I began to think I may have to reject the car.
I also paid for a diagnosis of the faults from a Kia Dealership as I wanted to know what the car needs. £144 out of my pocket for this. They told me the parking brake was completely inoperative and would need further strip down of the brakes costing £280 to confirm the issue.
I called on the 8th of July, and on my 4th attempt someone answered. I requested that my car be booked in to sort the brakes whilst we wait for the part for the lights and wipers. They booked me in for Thursday the 17th of July.
I dropped the car off at 8am on the 17th of July, no courtesy car, so I had to get 2 taxis and 2 trains home as they’d need the car most of the day. I then headed back to the dealership for around 4pm, again 2 taxis and 2 trains. Upon arriving there, I waited a while for someone to be free, to then be told that the part for the lights and wipers had not fixed the problem (I didn’t know it had arrived and they were sorting that) so they need to keep the car longer to investigate. I asked if the brakes had been sorted at least, and they didn’t know.
So I had to spend more on taxis and trains home again.
I did finally get a courtesy car whilst they investigate further.
I’ve chased them up on the 22nd & 24th and I can’t get through to anyone to find out what’s happening with my car. On the rare occasion I get through, I get told someone will call back, but they don’t. My most recent call the phone was put down on me.

Absolutely diabolical after sales customer service.
RECOMMEND AVOIDING EVANS HALSHAW WARRINGTON
Difficult to communicate they dont return your calls, completely ignored!
Management no better either not bothered one bit!
Bought a premium top of range car from them and of course the salesman James was helpful, of course he was I was a cash buyer. I was promised the earth and be looked after if I had any issues.
I drove the car for 3k miles and it came up on my dash I needed a major service.
The service centre after several calls said oh sorry after 3 months we don’t service…. It doesn’t go on time though does it, it goes on mileage and it clearly stated ALL CARS ARE SERVICED BEFORE SALE on google for the Warrington branch.
I’ve now gone to the main dealership NISSAN and having to pay 400 quid for this major service and all Evans Halshaw Warrington said was we will do it for 300 but you need to come here an hour away now as as a female disabled person this isn’t possible the manager was very unhelpful, getting them to return calls is impossible!
I’m now going to head office and will be contacting the MD and if no satisfaction I’ll be heading to trading standards for mis-selling and false information.
Terrible aftercare causing me distress, the wording has been changed by Evans Halshaw regarding servicing on google, however I still have the original screen shot dated and time stamped.
Shame on you!

WARNING – READ THIS BEFORE BUYING
I bought this car in late October and have had nothing but problems since day one.
• The brakes squeal even when driving in a straight line.
• Turning corners? Genuinely dangerous. The ESC fault light is on, and it randomly slams the brakes with live traffic behind me.
• The rear seat doesn’t fold down to access the sixth and seventh seats—despite three attempts to fix it. It’s now in pieces, with loose screws sitting in the front of the car.
• They disabled the airbags and told me I was fine to drive it like that—for nearly a month.
• A red steering warning light is constantly on. I was told the steering is broken and advised not to drive on winding roads, motorways, or long journeys.
• I was even told not to put my kids in the car—which defeats the entire point of buying a 7-seater.
Let’s add to that:
• ESC fault
• Start/stop fault
• Rear traffic alert failure
• Blind spot monitor failure
• Front assist and lane assist faults
• It sometimes doesn’t register fuel unless I put in more than £50.
It’s now been over 5 months, and they still expect me to wait even longer for it to be fixed.
This has been a total nightmare. Avoid at all costs.
