Will sell you a car, the car goes wrong, they will then take an AGE to repair the car, using every excuse under the sun to delay and prolong repairing the car. There’s no such thing as customer service with this company clearly, they accuse you of not answering them, you end up having to speak to a manager who FINALLY admits the wrongdoing and fixes things ever so slightly but not nearly enough. Appalling service, I implore you, DO. NOT. USE. THIS. COMPANY! Go elsewhere if you want people who will ACTUALLY care about giving a good service, because you won’t find it here.

Very disappointing experience. Shortly after purchasing my vehicle, multiple faults became apparent, including worn brake discs and pads and a failed battery (with the dealership already being aware of battery issues before collection).
The most frustrating part has been the lack of customer service. Despite multiple emails and phone calls, I have received little to no response, no meaningful updates, and issues that should have been addressed have simply not been actioned.

Thought I had a 13:30 "while you wait" booking to deal with a recall. Car wasn't taken until 16:00.
My wife & I each have a Renault. They don't seem to know which is which!

Declared brutally honest details for online valuation to sell my car. Said part service history which turned out to be full service history, declared mileage and average condition of exterior. Declared dinks in all 4 alloys, dinks in 3 and surface scratches. Valuation £4,300, offer £3,300. Complete waste of time.

I am writing this to warn other Dacia owners about the complete lack of professionalism at Evans Halshaw Dacia Edinburgh. I approached them with a very specific and clear request: I needed them to access and unlock a specific radio module (Radio Lock).
Despite providing precise technical details about the situation, the staff completely disregarded my input. They were unable to define what work would be required, simply because they did not understand the technical issue I was describing and even contradicted the facts I presented. It is deeply concerning that an authorized dealer is less knowledgeable about their own systems than the customer.
The logistics and attitude were equally unacceptable. For my appointment on April 7th, they demanded I leave my car for the entire day for a simple diagnostic check. When I explained that I live 15 minutes away and the car is essential for my work, I was met with total inflexibility. The final straw was the receptionist’s dismissive and patronizing attitude, who told me: "It doesn’t work like that. If you don’t like it, you can go somewhere else."
I took that advice. I found an independent specialist who immediately understood the request and is resolving the issue for half the price of Evans Halshaw’s initial intake fee. This dealership lacks both technical expertise and basic respect for their customers' time. If you want a professional service, take your business elsewhere.

The software upgrade was carried out within the timescale specified, and the tyres and fluid levels were checked too, even though the car was only in for the software upgrade. The floor and car seat had been covered and protected while in the workshop and I received updates on the work being carried out by text as it progressed and a messages by phone and text to let me know when the car was ready for collection,

The service I received from Evans Halshaw Edinburgh was excellent and every person I spoke to was friendly and welcoming.
Right from the start, Ross was calm, supportive, professional and easy to talk and the help and advice he gave me was exceptional. He explained everything very clearly and was more than happy to answer any questions I had. He also explained each stage of the sales process and even when there was a glitch with my insurance, he was able to sort that out.
Nothing was too much trouble and he went above and beyond what was necessary to make sure I got a car that perfectly suited my needs.
Ross definitely deserves 5 stars and more.

Put car into the named workshop - 10 days to diagnose and change coolant pump even though water pump diagnosed by Audi.
Service advisor Gregg Graham gave terrible customer service. Lied through his teeth and provided terrible customer service. Told us to come and collect car with the water leak.
Failed to update and also cut off our phone calls inbound to check on progress even though he should have updated us.
Worst garage I have ever dealt with!!
Tried to speak to Service Lead or Branch Manager / Nobody available!!
