Wine Tasting
My husband and I always enjoy the wine tasting evenings as they are very sociable and informative. They have expanded our knowledge of wine and encouraged us to try wines from different countries and grape varieties. Evington’s stock a broad range of wines that are not easily found elsewhere.

Found a bottle of 40 year old port for my partner's 40th that cost at least £20 more anywhere else online, and was delighted I could save on delivery fees by going to pick up myself as I live locally. However, the day after my purchase the owner phoned me and offered to bring it straight to me as he was in the area! He even concealed it in a wine box for me as I was worried my partner might answer the door instead of me and ruin his surprise. So considerate.
A timely reminder to me that there are so many advantages to shopping local rather than just buying everything from Amazon - not only can we keep independent businesses going, this level of care and pride in customer service can't be had from faceless corporations for any price. Will definitely be looking here first for all my future wine and spirit needs!
