Very happy with the aftersales service I have received. Had a few issues since our windows were installed and these have been dealt with in a professional manor and solutions found (by Curtis) with the window restrictors and drain caps. (36426)

Having had my doors installed in 2010 all was perfect till a lock had broken . Unfortunately out of warranty but this wasn’t an issue. Fast efficient service and the fault was rectified within half an hour. Excellent friendly service by Scott and Jonathan ref 2249

We had our beautiful bifolds supplied & fitted in 2021 by this fabulous company who couldn’t have been more helpful at the time and now in 2024 when one of the panes has been smashed in a freak accident, their lovely team have come & fitted a new panel & were as professional & courteous as ever. Just had my installation complete of my sliding doors and windows. Could not be happier with the process from walking into the showroom right through to after sales. Express went above and beyond to ensure everything went smoothly before my installation. Customer service was great I would highly recommend to anyone looking for top quality service.

If you have no DIY experience, if you dont own a spirit level and a laser level, or patience, don’t buy these doors, if you’ve watched a man on YouTube build a garden room and think that’s easy, it’s not. These doors are manufactured 100% square, if you’ve built a garden room structure that’s on the wonk, these doors won’t fit. If however you’ve built a room that’s 100% plumb and square then With a little patience and a couple of strong helpers these doors will be a great addition to your property, also be aware you need 2 strong persons on hand for delivery as the driver won’t help you as he’s not insured to move the frame or glass.

I would not recommend to family or friends, express measured wrongly, they accepted mistake but not responsibility, over four months delay to extension project over Christmas. They accept they got it wrong but terrible customer service, right up to director level, now going to court to resolve... express they are not!

Such a disappointment… Initially, we were blown away by the customer service, the product quality, and the value for money that Express Bifolds promised. We visited their Leeds showroom in June 2023 and met with the sales representative, who dazzled us with a tour of their amazing showroom, showcasing examples of all the doors and windows they manufacture, installed into mock houses. We settled on the XP Vision design, lured in by the promise of 1.5m wide leaves and maximum glass in our extension. We even provided architects drawings to ensure an accurate quote.
However, our excitement quickly turned to frustration when discrepancies arose. The structural engineer raised concerns about the doors' self-supporting capabilities, contradicting the information provided by Express Bifolds. Despite their marketing materials claim of no load on the door's head, clearly stating “… its (the doors) weight doesn’t need to be considered when calculating steel requirements”, additional support was indeed required, leading to additional building costs.
The surveyor's visit revealed additional unforeseen expenses, including the requirement of super-dense insulation battens required along the base of the door which had to be installed prior to installation, and that a bespoke aluminium pressing to fill the gap between the door and window would be required, another unexpected cost not factored into the original quotation. As architectural drawings were provided, and the fact that a steel beam had to be provided between the door and the window, there was no excuse whatsoever to exclude this from our initial conversations. At the very least we should have been made aware of an approximation of further costs at quotation stage, not after we had committed to the manufacture of the doors.
On the day of installation, we encountered further issues. The installers were unable to align the finishing strip for the upper triangular window above the door with the building fabric itself, stating that the opening had to be “flat”, leaving us to deal with yet more expense, and their oversight in forgetting essential parts to complete the installation further compounded our frustration.
However, the most significant disappointment surfaced after the installers left. Within minutes of them leaving site, we discovered inch-long scratches around the entire perimeter of almost every glazing unit, consistent with the installers' movements during installation (to knock in the internal trims that secure the glass into the door frames). Despite providing irrefutable evidence of the time that the photos were taken in relation the installers leaving site, Express Bifolds strongly denied responsibility, resorting to ludicrous claims that somehow someone or something else caused the damage (bearing in mind that there were no other trades on site at the time).
Attempts to resolve the issue were met with dismissiveness and a refusal to acknowledge accountability. Even after one of their engineers confirmed the scratches were most likely caused during installation, Express Bifolds remained obstinate, offering solutions as a “gesture of goodwill”, and absolving themselves of any responsibility. Their policy of not offering a guarantee or warranty until full payment is received, pressuring clients into accepting substandard products is also very unsettling – they chased the final balance (5% of the total cost of the doors) even though there were outstanding issues, and even went so far as to threaten “further steps” if payment was not received.
In conclusion, our experience with Express Bifolds has been nothing short of a nightmare. Their lack of transparency and refusal to accept responsibility for their mistakes have left us utterly disillusioned. We caution future customers to scrutinise every detail of their order, and inspect every inch of the glass and surrounding framework before signing anything off, because as soon as the handover documentation is signed, there is clearly no chance of a resolution should any issues be found. Based on our experience, we cannot, in good conscience, recommend Express Bifolds to others.

We bought some windows from Express Bifolds a couple of years ago, and recently felt we needed some restrictors for some of them.
I visited the Leeds showroom and was welcomed by a pleasant lady on reception. After explaining in layman's terms what I was hoping to achieve, she phoned Danny who was able to identify the window type and correct restrictors for them. Not only that, he took the time to explain how to properly fit them as a DIYer. Excellent service from Danny and Express Bifolds. Thanks.

Danny P was extremely helpful in advising me how to repair my door handle. He talked me through it all and sent me a video of hot to do it. Very easy to sort thanks to him.

Great product at start then when the roof started marking Steve the owner told me no chance is he fixing it really bad customer service don’t buy
After reply from express I tried 3 years after install and they fitted the whole job with lead etc to my roof I then maintained as instructed oil the lead but it still marked the glass to which The owner Steve said tough I’m not replacing the glass and that was still 7 years to go on supposed guarantee it now looks awful don’t buy this product from him he won’t honour your guarantee trust me may I add I’m a builder and maintain my property and to insult me in this way just shows how bad your company is not even a call from you to sort

Superb customer service. Danny Pickering was very helpful over the phone and went the extra mile to cut down the metal bar on the spare door handle to the exact length that I needed and post out to me.

Needed additional trims for the flooring due to a change. I spoke to a service rep called Danny Pickering who was very accommodating to this and sent the trims within the next working day.
