I got a flat tyre on m62 got off at Castleford and went to f1 auto center they refused to repair the the tyer saying they were too busy come back tomorrow I changed the tyre my self in there car park and left got to hull and no problems there they repaired the tyer and took the space saver off and put my tyre back on if it's an emergency don't go to f1autocenter

Formula 1 lads at castleford were brilliant today I booked my mot online turned up ,they were straight on it made me welcome when I arrived sorted it out straight away for me , went through all the advisories with me explain it what needed to be fixed etc I’ll definitely be coming back in future , thanks for a top service .

I book MOT here,after 2 weeks someone from this garage call me and cancel my appointment because don't have enough workers.Shame ,I believe formula one is a big brand but you acting like no name service.

All staff very helpful. Very professional and efficient. Would highly recommend.

Refused to remove wheels to fit new tyres to my motorhome. There excuse was there 3 ton jacks would not lift a 3.5 ton max gross weight vehicle, which as a Maximum axle loaded weight of 1850kg front and 2000kg rear. They couldn't even be bothered to check the vehicle weights before refusing..

Went in for tracking, they said it was fine apart from a slight bit of camber needed doing, and also the suspension may be worn out, I asked if it would steer straight and they just shrugged shoulders, they didn't fix the issue so I parked it for a month, took it another garage, they immediately said the tracking was off and straightened it for 20 pound.Now I call them up and they accuse me of sniggering at them. Go elsewhere,these monkeys like to take advantage. Also my suspension is brand new, not worn out at all. I bet they just wanted to sell me new suspension components, such as tracking rods.

Booked an appointment with the Castleford branch on Monday for Wednesday morning, got a phonecall at 4:30pm Tuesday saying we are fully booked and cancelled the appointment, I asked why are you telling me so late the day before, the response was I only just got around to reading my emails, I could have told you tomorrow when you arrived to go away!!! Great customer service

Car booked in at a time and date convenient to me. Accurate time for repair given. Reasonably priced, friendly staff would recommend

Spent £500 on two tyres and because I ordered online I opted for their free 10-point Summer safety check and top-up of washer fluid at the Castleford branch. DON'T BOTHER because they didn't even open the bonnet despite invoicing me for ½ a litre of screenwash.
Why can't I find a trustworthy and honest mechanic these days???

A faulty 12v LION Standard Car Battery was replaced like for like for a new battery after 6 months usage.
The replacement battery then failed after just 12 months of usage.
Do not believe that the warranty/guarantee applies to the new replacement battery. It only applies to the original battery purchased. In short the batteries are not worth buying.

I used this garage a year ago to have tyres fitted. I returned this week to have the same job done after being quoted a good price over the phone. I called the garage the day before to confirm the time to which the manager queried the price I had been quoted, but said he would honour it.

Upon arriving i was asked immediately if my registration plate was correct... After answering "yes, of course it is". I was asked a couple more odd questions including asking for the torque settings of the wheelbolts...

I popped to the cash machine across to road and walked back. As soon as i got back i was told they cant jack my car up due to it being too low (the car is not lowered, sits at factory ride height). At this point it became very clear that they just didnt want to do the job for the price that quoted.

The staff on duty were both condescending and rude.

They completely wasted my time and i would strongly advise against using this company!!

Booked my car in online for 4 tyres fitting which was easy and a great price. In Castleford the technician (Ryan) was very helpful he explained everything was courteous and professional, job well done

I love that they go the extra mile to try and solve a problem, and when they can’t work out what the problem is, they look further. Worked on my car for 2 days to try and diagnose the problem for it to be a recall! Mystery solved! But thank you for not giving up 😂

Had my MOT done here (castleford) all I thought was well. Less than 1 month later whilst driving on a motorway I lost my brakes. Had an independant mechanic come out who told me that one of my brake pipes was severley corroded and had been leaking for a long while. And that he was in no doubt that this should have been found on an MOT as it hadnt been done that long ago. Took back to formula one who said that they would discount the work as it should have been found on the MOT. Then told me as the fuel tank was going to have to be lowered they could not do the work and left me high and dry. AVOID this company. Do YOU want to take the risk of them missing this for your loved ones. Down right dangerous and incompetent.

Really didn’t want to do this but the area manager gave us no choice with his response to a complaint.
Firstly my battery died I was quoted a price which was reasonable and then told that battery was not in stock and was charged £30 more.
I then booked in for a service where they replaced two front tyres and some other things that they said needed doing cost me £500’
After the service there was some knocking from the car I took it back and the mechanic took if for a test drive and emptied my boot and the knocking stopped for a while.
After a week the knocking started again I took it back and they said there was nothing wrong with the car and it was safe to drive.
After another week the knocking got louder I recorded the noise and took it back again by this time I was being treated as a nuisance and they said they would have another look at it.
I went back and was told that it was the bearings in both wheels, I asked if this should of been picked up in the service, the young mechanic said yes it should who do your service for you ,!!!!!! When I said it was formula one he retracted,this is when another mechanic stepped in and said look love !!!! Bearings can go at any time.
I got a quote for bearings which was £340, speaking to my friend she informed me that was a lot, she advised me of another garage who did the bearings £160 (that he said weren’t actually that bad) to my amazement the knocking sound was coming from the wheel that the mechanic said was hanging off. He wrote on the invoice front wheel nuts finger tight ! I was shocked as twice I had taken it back after having my tyres changed.
I decided not to put a review on and contact the head office and after a week I got a reply saying because I had drove over a thousand miles on it they would not take liability, not even a fall call.
Customer service appalling I will never use this garage again, and the area manager advised us to go to ombudsman which we are

Booked oil/filter change for my missus's car for AM Sat 29th Oct / Castleford, via Bookmygarage.com. Turned up with said missus at allotted time. Greeted by mechanics (polite and friendly). Manager (I presume) then appeared and proceeded to REFUSE the booking, saying that (I paraphrase) "you're a bit of an idiot for booking through 'em (sic), they don't have access to our diary". I can't do it (the oil change) 'cos I'm not making enough profit on it, I'm only making about nine quid" "BUT", he said, "I can re-book you in for this morning....BUT it'll be a higher price".

I was dumbfounded. This sounded very much akin 'bait & switch' selling. Classic sales methodology but very crude indeed. And poorly executed.

Now, I really wasn't in the mood to argue. The good wife was highly embarrased (and fuming) at this point. Yes, I'm a bit of cheapskate ... but I was ALSO going to ask for the TPMS sensors fixing and get my XC60 & Optima booked in too. However I decided that it was better to spin on my heels and exit before I let the guy know exactly what I thought of his suggestion.

a) it was a huge waste of my (and the other half's) time b) I REALLY don't like to feel scammed. c) the lack of professionalism was astounding, d) it actually wasn't about the money..... I simply picked the service from an on-line engine as it's just down the road.

Messaged the Head of Customer Care about a week or so ago. No response.
