Formula One Autocentres - Cheltenham Reviews 

I was confident my car would pass the MOT given that I'd done all the advisories from last time. I was shocked that it failed. An already difficult week was made even worse by this unexpected news, so I cried. Steve (?) the manager took his time to explain each repair job and why it was necessary. He even helped me apply for finance to make the payments more manageable. I'll definitely be back

My car went for a service at the Cheltenham branch. The day before I washed the car, so I know it was in perfect condition. When I collected the car and got home I noticed one the alloys had been damaged while in their care at the garage. I complained to the manager but didn't like his attitude towards me and his lack of customer service. One of the area managers contacted me, but again no responsibility was taken for the damage caused while in their garage. They did nothing to resolve the situation or make the customer happy. I would never use this company again and would not recommend them to anyone. They have the worst managers and customer service.

Sadly was turned away 2.30 Saturday 3rd feb 2024 afternoon with exhaust falling off asked if they could possibly make safe until could get sorted obviously too much trouble so drove home very carefully ! Certainly would never go there again I was shrugged at and told couldn’t do anything u till Wednesday feel very poor service for females in Cheltenham thank you ATS in Tewksbury on Monday morning sorted and replaced brilliant service

Avoid Formula one autocentre Cheltenham. Highly dishonest and pushy. Went in for tyres and got told tracking would need doing even before they looked at the car. Very pushy to get me to pay in advance. Upon taking the car to another garage, discovered one of the tyres that formula one replaced was dangerously worn on the inner edge. The other garage also showed me under the car that there was clearly no evidence that the tracker had been done for years!
Having to pay twice for tracking to be done and a new tyre wasn’t even the worst of it. I could have had a blow out on a tyre thought to be new, with kids in the car!
Raised a compliant with Formula one that was dismissed and blaming potholes. Sent a follow up with evidence and this has just been ignored.
Do not trust this garage.

The thing about F1 Autocentres is that you know you are getting a great price, work carried out competently and professionally by staff that are friendly and knowledgeable. Always my tyre place of choice, and always recommended.

The lads always take good care of my car. Been going to formula 1 Cheltenham for 7 to 8 years. No problem at all. Very honest and helpful people!

Fantastic service and kept me informed on progress whilst clearly explaining everything so that I could understand what was needed and why. Accurate information on when I could collect my vehicle and will definitely be back, as they made me feel important as a customer

Last week I needed to replace two tyres following a pot hole incident. Having received unsatisfactory service (from Kwikfit) I called in at the Cheltenham (Tewkesbury Road) branch of formulaoneautocentres where Steve, the Assistant Manager could no have been more helpful. The advice he gave was excellent and saved me a few pounds. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

We went in for 2 new rear tyres only. Went to pick up car and was informed that one of the bolts had snapped so they needed to get a new one. We left the car. When we picked up car, they advised that they couldn’t replace it because the wrong one had been delivered and didn’t fit. but they advised the car was safe to drive until we could get a replacement.Cost approx £170.
Car went in for service a couple of days later with the issue with the bolt noted. It failed MOT. The garage said ‘road wheel bearing had failed due to improper parts and poor fitting. Wheel bolt missing, rear brake drum was incorrect one for car. Wheel bearing stub axle loose and damaged threads. We needed a new stub axle, a new brake drum, new nuts and a new wheel bolt. Basically a wobbly wheel which could have come off at any time causing danger to our lives. It seems that F1 autos do not use genuine parts, only generic ones which they hope will fit. Cost approx £550. Needless to say we are trying to get hold of someone in charge to talk to, hopefully this won’t take weeks
Such incompetence and recklessness is unbelievable. Beware of using this company

In August 2022 this garage literally saved my life. My father had bought a car off a garage forecourt and I thought it strange that it had a serious failed a MOT the previous month (with a different garage) for serious corrosion. I asked the garage I bought it from (which also did the MOT saying the car had passed a month later) if the work had been done, they said they knew nothing about it and would give me my money back !. Worried as I'm already a widow with two young children I took it to my trusted F1. The MOT inspector looked and said it was the worst corrosion he had seen in years underneath and he was surprised the side of the car hadn't collapsed. They were so helpful , and saved me from driving a death trap !!

I cancelled my MOT the day after I booked it.
The person I spoke to on the phone was so rude I really didn’t want to give them my money. Off to Kwik fit where the service is much better even though it costs more.

I had a pesky puncture about 1/2 a mile away and thanks to Manager Steve and his fantastic team, I was back on the road in no time!

When I walked into Formula One Tyres, I was greeted with warm smiles and a genuine willingness to assist. Even though they were pretty busy, Steve managed to work some magic and fit me in for a quick tire change. It was like a weight lifted off my shoulders knowing they had my back.

The team at Formula One Tyres blew me away with their professionalism and attention to detail. But what really amazed me was their lightning-fast service. Can you believe they got my tire changed, balanced, and aligned in just 10 minutes? I was in awe of their speed and precision. It was clear they knew their stuff.

I can't thank Steve enough for his outstanding management skills and customer-focused attitude. He really understands the importance of providing exceptional service and ensuring customers like me leave with a smile. He's a true rock star, and the team reflects his dedication.

After this incredible experience, I won't think twice about going back to Formula One Tyres for future tire fittings. They've won me over completely with their professionalism, efficiency, and genuine care for their customers. I can confidently recommend them to anyone in need of reliable tire services.

Good price and quickly fitted. There was an issue with one pressure sensor which was swiftly sorted and dealt with.

I have been using F1 Auto Centres in Cheltenham for a few years and thought I could trust them. I took my car in for a full service and also paid extra for additional fluid changes. A few days later after less than 500 miles my oil low warning light came on. Strange I thought after having it just serviced and paid extra for my 'special oil (I have a VW TOUAREG V6)). On examination I found that my oil level was so low it took me nearly 3 litres of oil to top up. Obviously ripped off by them who after contacting them tried to fob it off as' temperate variation 'and then offered just to pay for the oil I put in. Frankly I don't trust them and definitely don't trust them that they replaced the oil, power steering and brake fluid. I also know that they did some brakes on my colleagues car but only changed the pads not discs. Don't use them, don't trust them with your car as they don't have a flipping clue! I spent over £400 and trusted them, won't make that mistake again and while they have obviously profited this time around I won't be spending anymore money there in the future so they've made a short term profit while risking my long term loyalty. I've also told all my friends to avoid them. You've been warned. It's up to you if you want to risk their fly by night approach. I'm now getting in touch with the garage ombudsman to report them for shoddy work (or lack of it).

In response to them messaging me back: obviously I contacted the 'customer service' previously so stop putting a standard boring response without actually checking and pretending to give a toss about your customers. It's interesting to see that 36% of reviews on this garage are 1*. More than a third!

Had a puncture in Cheltenham just made it into the car park before it went completely flat! They were very busy but a young lad called Kayden came out and offered to help, very impressive service saved my day!

ZERO Care for Customer Loyalty , NEVER COMING BACK HERE.
I used this garage for the past 5+ years and always looked past small mistakes they make when changing bulbs etc due to customer service but recently this place gone down hill badly!
I arrived 4 minutes late for an appointment due to heavy traffic and the technician at the front waved me to move the car to the parking lot. Walked in to drop off keys and was told I'm 10 minutes late and my slot has been given away ( clearly a lie about 10 minutes as we both looked at the time! ) . The reception guy proceeded to tell me an absolute fairy tale that he has to move people because of me now. ( they obviously overbooked for the day)
All 6 members of my family used this garage and now not a single one of us will EVER come back here for anything. I will make sure of it! You guys lost all 6 cars! I will be posting my review on every review sites i can, this simply is not acceptable to treat customer like this!!!
P.S. To the manager who was clearly listening behind the door and looking at us, this could have been resolved on the spot but you decided to keep quiet behind the door, top notch customer care skills!!!!

I met the manager Arfan. He remembered my name and car which was very impressive. Car was ready in less then an hour. There is nothing better then this service.
