Total incompetence…
Have used before with good results but will now avoid at all costs. I arrived early for my appointment as they request and was told the fitting would take 30-45 minutes. I advised the locking nut was on the passenger seat (only thing on the seat). After an hour he returned to ask where the nut was by phoning me although he knew I was waiting in reception. No tyres fitted, waste of my time. A week later and I am still struggling to get a refund for the tyres although it has been promised, no apology at all and even customer service (using the term loosely) cannot even get my name right. Avoid at all costs!
Recommended for service and MOT
Fantastic service - booked a service and MOT, the guys in the garage did some remedial work after the service to make sure it would sail through the MOT and avoid me failing and having to rebook. I was contacted in good time and made aware of what these fixes would be and the cost. Online booking is a huge plus, service was friendly and the garage is easy to get to and park outside. Really impressed and will be coming back.

First off the one star I left is not a reflection on the Norwich branch but for f1 auto centre as a business. Norwich branch was nothing but helpful and very professional. Unfortunately one of my wheels was damaged when my tyres were fitted (accidents happen) and was informed by the branch that I could get a quote and they would sort it but it would come out of the fitters wages. I felt this was despicable and completely showing what a horrible company this is. I feel it’s not fair to take the money from the fitter so i will now foot the bill for the repair. I will never use the company again and will be advising everyone i speak to do the same. Great way to treat your staff

Booked an MOT at Norwich online about 3 weeks in advance for my Tesla model 3 all paid upfront. Got a call an hour before my appointment from the garage telling me they don’t MOT Tesla’s despite their website letting me book it knowing it was a Tesla. Really poor customer service and now still waiting for a refund!

absolute joke
absolute joke - ordered two tyres to be fitted today
Waited 45 minutes only to be advised that they had only the one in stock and do i want them to fit it. I said no as i do not want a mix of tyres on the front and return another day to fit the other. Asked if i could have something else they offered Coopers tyres and that i would have to pay the difference and lose any online discounts. I said i would like to cancel the order and they can refund the money paid they said they cant do that and that i would have to go on line to sort it. I said why should i go through further inconvenience when its their mistake although at this point i felt like using other expletives.
Inflexible in rearranging another time/date so i said i could make the following day and do another 20 mile round trip at additional time and added expense. They said they had other customers booked in to which I replied that i was ahead of them by a day as they have yet to fulfil my order. It was eventually and reluctantly booked in for the following day/morning- so watch this space as only time will tell.
Moral of the story is dont book online as staff cannot do anything if things go wrong and F1 need their managers to be Trusted. Empowered and made Accountable for customer care(TEA) as they cannot do anything with online orders. Because their hands are tied so consequently Customer Care is somewhat lacking and Head Office need to look at the whole package/process.
I am not a difficult customer but a customer with difficulties caused by F1 failures.

The third time I have had issues with…
The third time I have had issues with local F1 centre.
This time was for tyre replacement, booked appointment and paid in advance, ended up waiting two and half hours before they started work, a week later noticed nut covers were not refitted so now missing. Previous incident booked again dropped off wheel after puncture following day drove 15 miles to pick up after replacement, informed they had been busy so come back tomorrow. Had similar incident on previous visit with wife's car booked in again but on arrival was informed they were short of staff as fitter had rung in sick. You give them contact number when you book so no excuses, Won't be using them again despite their good prices.
A shame as previously had no problems and good service.

Very Unprofessional and non-attentive…
Very unprofessional and non-attentive altitudes. Went for full service on the 4th of August because my car was showing service light on the dashboard. I dropped the car off, and they said they would contact me in the evening for pickup. I didn’t receive a call and when I called nobody answered and when I went there I found out they were closed. I came in the next day, and they said everything was set. Immediately when I started the engine, I saw a warning light on the screen showing “engine fault: have the vehicle repaired” and a “service” warning light on the dashboard again. I called the technician to show him. He said that the person that was supposed to remove it was not around and that I should go and come back later if the warning lights continued. But the thing didn’t stop. I called their customer care number to complain, and he said I should pop up at the center for them to correct it. I took the car there, and they called me in the evening that the car was ready for pickup. But the light continues to appear on the dashboard if I drive up to 40mph or every 18 miles at a slower speed. I called again to complain and the person that answered said the same thing: that I should pop up at the center. I felt like I had done that before, and it’s not easy making out time to get there after or before work. I went there today, being the 1st of September, and left the car on for them to see the screen and, after like 1 hour, I was told that I should take the car to Peugeot and told them that it had a “clogged oil Pickup”. This got me wondering why they didn’t tell me the first time I took it for full service or didn’t they check the vehicle and what about the second time I took the car there for a full day from 9-5? It takes them almost a month to tell me this after paying for full service and wasting my time taking the car there back and forth. If that’s how they treat everyone, then they are no good.

I’m sitting in this centre now been over 2 hrs too have 2 tyres fitted and car as just moved the service is shocking no customer care phone ringing constantly no one working on desk !! Won’t be using again ! Further on after finally having tyres fitted and my car handed back the tpms was showing on dash after checking pressure at petrol station found one new tyre only had 31 in the other 34 also the red dot is not lined up with the valve after pumping up tyres to the correct pressure 37 in the case of my car the tmps as gone out also no seat covers were used I work in the motor trade and I treated customers like this I would be crucified by my boss !! I wasn’t the only customer waiting a stupid amount of time ether

Friendly, efficient, reasonably-priced.
I've been taking my now-20-year-old car to F1 for a few years now for MoT and service. They are always friendly, accommodating, efficient and reasonably-priced. Today I asked for an appointment for a tyre that was slowly deflating. The appointment was fixed for the same morning, the problem (a faulty valve) quickly diagnosed and repaired and I was on my way within 30 min. The bill? £23 - you can't get much better than that, can you?
Rushed job no care
Took car to formula one over Easter as had a brake issue, was told caliper had seized on so would need replacing along with disks and pads, glad they managed to fit it in over Easter. After collecting the vehicle noticed the hand brake wasn’t holding very well on incline and also with the heat windows open I could hear rattling. Car had its MOT and failed on the brakes. hand brake failing on one side where the new caliper had been fitted, was advised to return car to F1 to rectify the issue as was informed it hadn’t been fitted or was a faulty repair.
I returned to F1 and told them the issue which they didn’t seam to bothered about and said can’t fit it in as really busy …. I said I can leave it ? Thurs pm. Collected Sunday, not so much as an apology, explanation or anything just the keys slung at me, the hand brake is now one click with force, car is having to be returned back to my local garage for its Mot retest in a weeks time as f1 didn’t even put it through it Mot as a goodwill and inconvenience gesture to get the car legally back on the road so now I’m having to hire a car for my holiday this coming week.
Car has been retested 7/7/25 and failed again on brake caliper as giving no reading for holding the car so having to get it replaced

My front tyre blew very late Friday…
My front tyre blew very late Friday afternoon. I rang Formula One Norwich, just 45 minutes before they were due to close, to see if they would be able to help, as I really didn’t want to have to leave my car in the city overnight. I expected to be told they wouldn’t be able to do anything as it was so late, but Lee said they would be able to sort it as long as I drove very slowly over to them so as not to damage the rim. Everything was explained to me, Charlie fitted a new tyre and I was ready to go 30 minutes later. I was on my own and in a complete panic over it all, but was made to feel completely at ease by Lee, and I cannot thank him and Charlie enough for getting me out of what was a very stressful situation for me. So thank you, and well done guys, you’re absolute stars!

Beware unnecessary extras
I was told my car needed the tracking adjusted and rear brake pads and discs. I was told that although it passed its MOT the pads were very worn.
I declined the extra work and had the car looked at elsewhere. The tracking was found to actually be OK. The rear discs were fine at 11.3 mm against a minimum of 10mm and 12mm new, they were not badly scored. Although the rear pads were low they were no where near as bad as I was led to believe by Formula one. The second garage were of the opinion that they were good for several thousand miles. I had the pads changed anyway but inspected the old pads and one side was more worn than the other but even the worst one was probably twice the minimum of 1.5 mm
Following the response from formula one autocentres I contacted customer services and supplied additional information. The area manager contacted me and made an appointment to view my car at home. On the morning of the appointment he cancelled due to a flat battery on his car.
We made a new appointment and this time he just failed to turn up. He didn't answer his mobile so I called customer services number and they said they would email him and I would probably here back within an hour.
24 hours later and nothing.
I can only assume they are deliberately trying to cause me inconvenience and my only option now is to go to trading standards with the old pads as evidence

Disgraceful
Disgraceful. Took weeks to book an MOT, happy to wait as had been recommended them. Turned up on the day and cancelled the MOT with no notice and due to the internet not working. Then informed it it would be weeks before being offered another MOT slot. Disgusting customer service.

Service and two tyres took 7 hours!
Booked a service and wasn’t given a time so had to ring the day of my appointment. Told I could bring in as soon as they opened. I drop the car off at 9AM and they say it should be done by the afternoon! Every other service I’ve had, I could wait for it to be done. I then get a call at 12pm telling me the recommendations. I opt for two tyres replaced. Again told that it would be in the afternoon for collection. I call at 16:30 and told I could come at 17:15 as just finished up. I arrive at 17:15 and I am sat in a freezing cold waiting room for a further 30 mins waiting for the “caps” to be put back on even though I was told it would be a five min wait. How can a service and two tyres take 7 hours!

The guys at Formula one are just simply the best, friendly helpful service not beaten on price and a really top job. I’ve used them twice for tyres and today for front brake discs and pads.

Poor service
Ordered two tyres from Blackcircles and they sent two different sizes. Not F1s fault but it wasn’t until they’d had my car an hour before they realised. Back for a 2nd time today and told it would be an hour. 3 hours later and I am still waiting.

Norwich Branch, unable to get any gears so managed to drive to local branch,left the car with them, later that afternoon got a phone call telling me that I need a new clutch kit, told them to go ahead with the job, return the car later they phoned me saying it was it was ready, when Iwent to my car next morning same problem no gears! I was told probaly air bubble in clutch fluid ,returned car ,got no phone call so another day later phoned them now being told I have a gearbox leak and would need new seal,ok go ahead another day passed no phone call, so I called them told they couldn't obtain a seal sothey were unable to do the job, collected car took to Vauxhall dealer who fitted a seal next day also they sent me a video showing that gearbox bracket had not been , refitted. NOT A HAPPY CUSTOMER, F1 auto centre stick to fitting tyres & exhausts
