Absolutely amazing experience with formula one auto centre in Hedge End today. I had a flat tyre and called to get it sorted- Andy Booth booked me in within the hour and it was all sorted. Superb customer service. Thank you so much Andy.

I was a customer at F1 Autocentres at hedge end this morning when a customer was complaining about not being able to have his car MOT done due to an equipment issue. Well done Andy for keeping your cool and trying to help the customer.

On a scale of 1 - 10 I would score F1 Southampton 11.
I wasn’t happy with the ‘advice’ a main dealer had provided to me regarding a fault with my car, which they said would cost £2300 to sort out, and wasn’t covered by the warranty. I decided to seek an independent review. F1 Southampton had been recommended by a friend, so I booked the car in for an inspection.
The manager carried out the inspection himself. He disagreed with the main dealer, and wrote a comprehensive report to contradict their assessment, plus he provided video evidence in support of his findings.
I contacted the main dealer, armed with this new information, who then decided to contact the warranty company which they had refused to do.
Long story short, the initial information provided to me by the main dealer was incorrect. The work was completed, it was covered by the warranty. Cost to me £0.00
If I hadn’t spoken to Dustin at F1 I could potentially be £2300 out of pocket.
I would thoroughly recommend F1 Southampton to anyone who is seeking an alternative to main dealer exorbitant labour charges. F1 Southampton deal with all makes / models including some pretty high end machines. Once I’m out of warranty I will 100% use them.

Spoke to Stuart at Hedge end on the phone. Really helpful and took time to sort out my problem - even after I made a second call to try and sort more issues. Great service.

Booked MOT.
Failed on headlamp aim, which is strange as nothing has happened to car since last MOT.
Also advised one rear tyre was near limit.
Front tyres had worn more on one edge, and spare tyre was also near limit.
So I booked to have headlamps adjusted & two new tyres.
I put both of the ‘near limit’ tyres on the front of the car & asked for tracking to be done, as everyone would put the new tyres on the front of a front drive car.
On collecting the car, they had changed the two rear tyres, neither which had been the advisory on MOT!!
On enquiring, I was informed that the MOT has a different standard, and the tyres had worn due to under inflation, not tracking.
Yet when I paid, I had been charged for tracking adjustment, though there were no marks in the antitrust paint I covered the rods a few weeks before.
So I have had two purchase two more tyres!
So if you use this outlet for tyres, watch & ask for a tracking printout!

I went to F1 auto centre in approx December (not sure on date) to have new tyres on the front wheels. When I drove the car shortly after, around 60mph on the motorway, the steering wheel was shaking badly. I took the car back 3-three times -F1 advised me one of the wheels was buckled. I took it to 2 other garages, so I could get this claim by F1 confirmed, and unsurprisingly they both advised the wheel was NOT buckled. F1 had put 300g of weights to balance one of the wheels. The 2nd garage took all weights off the wheels that had the new tires, rebalanced, and now the car drives very smoothly. I have had issues with F1 previously, but thought this is a “simple” job for them, how wrong I was.

The team at Formula One just did a super job on my Fiesta's exhaust which had dropped dangerously low following a rubber fitting having come loose. Very quick, efficient and friendly job and I couldn't possibly imagine going anywhere else. Top team.

Formula 1 Auto centres boast We will not be beaten on price Unfortunately this is completely UNTRUE Just use a search of local similar centres and you will find you CAN get the product cheaper Just tell them where and result is we cant do that price The 4 tyres I asked for price was £25 cheaper elsewhere TBH it will be the last time I use this garage as they tried to turn me over on an exhaust system previously

UPDATE F1 have lost the sale of 7 tyres I have made my mind up not to use F1 anymore Staff there at Hedge End really don't want to be there the atmosphere is dreadful Maybe management needs to pay them a visit

Mini assist were great and put on a spare rather than filling damaged tyre with foam. How ever getting both tyres into my car was a challenge. But Shaun put Seat covers in back of my car to get spare home.
Great service. Will definitely go there again in future.

Wow what an amazing experience, I am always a bit nervous going to a garage knowing nothing about cars, but Shaun was great, very professional and made me feel at ease and even better than that, he was able to fix my tyre for free! I couldn't believe it, honestly blown away, I will be going here all the time now for any of our cars and will spread the world. If you want someone honest and that won't rip you off then go here! :)

I phoned on Friday morning, asked if I could drop a damaged wheel off to have a new tyre fitted. I dropped the wheel off on Friday afternoon and went back Saturday morning, the wheel and new tyre was fitted on the car and tracking adjusted. What a pleasure it was to deal with staff at Hedge End.

You have to put your number plate in the machine on the counter,to be able to park,not sure if the man would have told me, evidently previous customers have been fined,Charge extra for low ash oil but that was stated.Log book not stamped,MOT service was done satisfactory, didn't think much of customer service, won't return next year

Absolutely cowboys. Avoid at all cost, all the 1 star reviews are right. Pay a bit more and get real mechanics to do the required jobs.

Great customer service took the dog for long walk while the guys did an oil change and rear discs/pads, took a little longer than expected due to seized pads which wasn’t their fault, but I was kept informed. Very friendly guy at the desk (Andy?) honered the quote id received which was amazing. Highly recommended!

I don't usually do reviews, but I have come home appalled at how I was treated at this garage. I booked my MOT at this garage as my usual garage was fully booked. Initially no problems, dropped my car in at 10:30, and I was planning to wait there for it to be done. After one hour, I saw my car being parked outside so presumed it was finished. I went out to reception and asked if everything was OK, to be met by Andy, a rude, patronising man on reception with no customer service skills. He told me it had failed because of a headlight out of alignment, which they were unable to fix during the MOT. I asked if they were able to fix it today, and how long it would roughly need to be in for and he replied 'I don't really know as we are really busy'. I explained that I needed to get back to work so would get someone to come and pick me up. Just as my family member arrives (no more than 10 minutes later), I see my car being taken back into the garage!! I went back in to ask if it was worth waiting, to be met again with 'I don't know, up to you, you can wait in the waiting area'. I then waited for a further 45 minutes and after seeing my car being parked again, went back out to reception. Handing over the paperwork, no communication whatsoever and I was ignored - I asked Andy if there were any other problems with my car to be aware of, to which he responded, 'I haven't read the paperwork yet, you will have to'. What made this whole experience worse, is that I witnessed Andy having a 'normal' conversation with a male customer right in front of me. As a lone female, this garage made me feel undermined, and very uncomfortable and I will not be returning. Avoid at all costs, especially if you are female!

2 new tyres were required. Started off well with helpful member of Staff and competitive pricing. Tyres were ordered and attended the Garage 2 working days later at the agreed time. Informed by the Staff member that the tyres hadn't arrived and not sure when they would arrive during the day. Why didn't they call us to advise, given that we had just driven on a compromised tyre!!! Attitude of staff member was that he just didn't care. The car park was full when we arrived and we parked assuming they would drive the car straight into the Garage. A Staff member was moving a car within the vicinity and our car was clearly in the way. Instead of asking us to move, he reversed as close as he could to our car with my passenger having to sound the car horn to prevent him from hitting my car. There was absolutely no need for this as there was space to go forward. The Staff member then sounded his horn in retaliation! This was absolutely unnecessary and shows the lack of care, consideration and Customer service. The Staff member behind the counter merely stated that we shouldn’t have parked there. No apology for his colleague’s behaviour. Suffice it to say we cancelled our order with them and rang another Garage who were able to get the tyres later that same day. Formula One should invest in some customer facing training.
