In October 2016 my Wife and I were delayed on our return trip from Germany using KLM. We were transferred to a much later flight. We were give all sorts of reasons and fought the case on our return to no avail.
Fairplane took our case on board and found out that the flight had been overbooked. They won our case and in August 2017 we received £142.00.
Great result ! Many thanks Fairplane

Great Service and result

The process was made easy by regular email contact, I also downloaded the app which kept me in touch.Very happy with all aspects of the service and would easily recommend to family/ friends.Although I tried to seek compensation via airline, they just fobbed me off,but Fairplane stuck with it and got my family the result we deserved.Well pleased. And thankyou.

You will be harassed and your data sold on to third parties without your consent.

About one year ago I tried out the Fairplane calculator to determine if a delayed flight of mine would have compensation.

It was one of the biggest mistakes I've made on-line. It happened that I was due compensation by I was informed directly by the airline and they provided me my compensation without any issue.

After which, Fairplane continued to hassle me with a large number of emails which I initially ignored. After some time I decided to read some of the junk I was getting from them.

They claim they were handling a case for me (without my consent), and I replied back to them to tell them to stop contacting me.

This didn't work and the emails continued. I then called up their customer care team who assured me I would not be contacted again.

Just after this, I received three SMS messages informing me they were handling my case and I should contact them.

I was quite tired of the harassment and spam, so I stupidly ignored it, however I then received a letter from a completely unknown solicitor in another language (Spanish), informing me they had taken my claim case and had taken charge of it. (Again without my consent).

I called the solicitor and told them to delete my information and not contact me again which they apologised for but also told me they were sold lead by Fairplane to handle. (Remember this part).

I then called Fairplane to ask what they were doing and why they had sold my data on when I expressly asked them to never contact me again and to remove my data from their files.

They told me (and I quote), "we never sell your data onto third parties". However remember what the solicitor told me? I accused the customer services representative of either being incorrectly informed or being a liar.

She then passed me on to one of the Fairplane partners who openly admitted they were aware that I asked Fairplane to stop contacting me however there had been an admin error and my information (along with many other persons data), had been passed (illegally I might add), without my consent to a third party solicitor as a lead to sell on.

However as soon as I mentioned that he had admitted this, he instantly retracted and claimed they don't pass data onto third parties, however if this isn't a third party, I don't know what is.

I DO NOT recommend using Fairplane. Just contact the airline directly. They don't argue. They are polite and lets be clear. Fairplane has to profit somehow so they will take a cut of your compensation if you win.

They are a highly immoral organisation, illegally passing on personal data without consent and their marketing practices are very dubious.

Avoid them.
