Hey guys

Just wanted to take a minute to applaud you all on your efforts for making our Xmas party a fantastic evening!

From checking in to checking out we permanently had a smile on our faces!

There was simple nothing any of you could have done to make our stay any more enjoyable!

You guys nailed everything, huge compliments to the chef at dinner and breakfast, best breakfast I've ever had! (3 egg omelette with sausage and tomatoes).

Needless to say, we will be back next Xmas , and we have all individually said we will all be back with our own families to use all of your facilities, from just coffee and a slice of them temptress cakes to a weekend away with the children.

Ever thought of applying to appear on 4 in a bed?? You would win it hands down!

When you ring and book a table in a certain room , explaining that the other dining area is too hot for you, you expect to be seated where requested. Second time this has happened. We walked out and went elsewhere and won't be back. We will have our family do's elsewhere from now on too .
Very disappointed.

Many thanks to everyone involved in making our daughters wedding weekend so perfect. Staff in all areas could not have done more to ensure we were looked after. Perfect - we went today for Christmas lunch and it was absolutely amazing and totally faultless. Lily and all the staff were so attentive to us and the food was absolutely delicious. The table looked beautiful and so many beautiful touches on the table. Absolutely faultless xxx

We came across this hotel in 2011 when I did some flowers for a wedding there, we were looking for a venue for our wedding. Well the rest is history we got married there in 2012 and after several birthday celebrations, christmases and really just any excuse to stay or eat there it feels like our second home. Lily has helped me with birthday celebrations last year for hubby and an event to raise money for cancer research. Her attention to detail was amazing and made the organisation stress free and nothing was too much trouble.

We have just returned from our 7th valentines meal there in the last 8 years and as ever the food was superb, the staff are amazing, friendly and the atmosphere just spot on for a wonderful night out with hubby.

Carol, the owner has made this hotel a venue to be proud of. Her staff are just so professional and nothing is ever too much trouble making every visit a pleasure and we get a lovely welcome when we visit. The food is top quality and always exciting to try something new and it never disappoints. The hotel accommodation is excellent so treat yourself if you can.

Thank you for the all the memories we have made with you over the years with friends and family (and our dogs). We look forward to many more valentines and are now wondering what excuse we can think of to visit again soon.

My 88 year old parents won a prize of afternoon tea for two at The Falcon Hotel in Uppingham so my husband and I decided to join them. I spoke with a member of staff beforehand concerning my mother who has mobility problems and was directed to the car park at the back of the hotel, great to know about especially since it was market day. This entrance has step free access to a nicely decorated and furnished lobby/ bar / casual seating area. The nearest table to the door was laid for us, most thoughtful as I had not asked for this.

The staff were attentive, polite and friendly but not over the top, just the right balance. And the afternoon tea .... excellent, very tasty and extremely good value for money. I say this as I live just north of London and have had some rather pricey afternoon teas that were not as good.

I have never stayed in this hotel, I grew up nearby, but if this experience is anything to go by I would imagine it would be worth giving it a try...or if you are just passing by go in for afternoon tea you can be sure of a treat.
