You guys sucked! We were jacked around for 6 months, jumping through your totally disorganised hoops!
Then the loan was a joke, the appraisal was trash, sooo not worth the time.

Unfortunately, the appraiser is an independent nonaffiliated third party. They do not work for us and due to compliance regulations we do not communicate with them or contract them ourselves. We are not allowed to communicate with them directly, only through another third party so we have no influence on their results. They are certified to inspect and evaluate your property in adherence with FHA guides.

Loan amount/purchase price kept dropping
I was told the price I could pay for a house was $700k before I even listed my home. I listed & it sold in one hour. Buyers were perfect - all cash etc. Then I started looking for a house to purchase. The price kept dropping until it got to the point that there was nothing on the market at that amount. I had to cancel the sale of my property.

The sales rep named Nicole Blane was very efficient and clearly explained the whole process. I got sold on changing lenders from another company and switched to them for a slightly lower rate. This turned out to be a terrible decision that I regret. It’s been close to 3 months and this other lender has not closed on our loan yet. We have good credit so its not that. They are super unorganized and messed up the process. If you are with Finance of America, just stay there. Don’t switch lenders.

My application has not closed yet. It is suppose to close within 10 days after a lot of paperwork etc. Toby Beers my Reverse Mortgage Specialist has been very helpful through out this process. He has answered all of my questions and has always returned my calls promptly.
