Its a good gym. Except that you should have someone to guide a new member on the first day with machines and do the basic weight check and what exercises a person should do

I really like it a lot. Especially the classes, of course would be nice to have a little bit more variety in the Fields.
Best trainers, hi-tech fitness gear, very sociable and friendly atmosphere, professional staff and a warm welcome for everybody!

The employees do not understand the contracts they are offering and give false information to get you to sign up. When your membership contract expires you will be met with a bunch of bills that you never heard of. When asking the employees about the items on the invoices, they do not know what it is and refer you to customer service. Customer service (with ridiculous waiting times and short opening hours) refers you to the on-site employees as "it is hard to explain over phone". The actual gyms are pretty ok, it's your typical 'hip' gym with rows of elipticals but no power racks for example. Opening hours in the weekends are also quite bad (closes early in the evening).

I have never seen such a mafia service. When you sign up for membership is same as you would sign up with evil. I asked them for 2 months of membership after two months they asked me to pay for third after that I paid third they asked me 100 kr for delay and after I didnt pay for delay they send me bill of 739kr ! Such a treatment. They don't answer emails they dont communicate just drain money from you!

That's how I got hooked in! Later to discover that I have missed their official deadline by 7 days even though all the signs about the campaign were up and the staff reassured me it's all good when it comes to getting 2 months of free training. I didn't get any of that. Plus they removed one of their membership packages (raw basis) meaning that all their full-time deals start at 299DKK. I believe that's way too much! On top of everything, I was charged 100DKK to switch from one membership to another. Yay! Not the mention the ever annoying 1+1 cancellation policy.
There are good parts about fitnessdk, hence the 2 star review such as: friendly staff, cleanliness and generally a good workout environment.
This used to be a great gym and I have been a member for at least 5 years. Most recently they have forgotten what it means to put the customer first.
Pros
The facilities I have gone to have improved greatly over the years and the facilities and machinery are in good standing and modern, which is always nice when you go to the gym.
Cons
-My main gripe with them is the devious and purposely misleading (one could also say intentionally deceptive) and confusing pricing they offer customers. Now they offer multilevel marketing proportions of pricing (With the names to match) with over 5 different packages all with little titbits taken out to force you to pay for the next more expensive tier or just to confuse you into submission. One of these packages even restricts what time you can enter the facility even if they are open. All the packages seem to offer Wifi as a special treat i'm sure they will start to charge for this soon.
-Next is you also get weird bills which go up unexpectedly and you never pay for the amount you agreed on.
-I don't know what package I have right now because they keep changing them and over the last year I have seen a significant increase in my bills (Over 50%) which has not been reciprocated by an increase or improvement in service.
-If I try change my membership to something more reasonable I am told I lose all the benefits I have gained from my loyal and unwavering membership for the last half decade.
I don't know what is going on with this company but they most certainly don't have the customers at heart. Considering the devious charging practices, the intentionally keeping you in the dark on which of their numerous tiers you are on and the misleading communication, this is beginning to look like a money pit. As a customer you support a company with your money and right now, I feel I should support another team. Would I recommend them....no.
Ps. I only gave this a 2 star because the gym staff in my usual gym are great.
If you like to catch negative emotions from strangers - choose this "Gym". Otherwise - no.
Poor choice of free weights, low quality equipment, rude, aggressive "customer service" and policy of the company " we promise you whatever, but after the contract is signed we have no responsibilities".
The main criteria for recruiting their "customer service" was probably the positive answer to the question "do you hate people?" During work interview.

When me and my spouse joined, we were told certain "facts" about the membership and terms by the gym personnel. We were given/shown only Danish contract, we had to sign by writing on digital pad, neither of us speaks Danish.
It turned out that the staff person at the gym had given us incorrect information about contract termination and for this reason we had to pay extra month.
That was not the worst thing.
They claim that all gyms have Wi-Fi. Which was a complete lie. When asked for the credentials, we always heard that the Wi-Fi doesn't work, sorry. That was in two different centers.
Big reason for us to choose this, otherwise bad excuse for a gym, was the fact that they have playroom for children. The two centers that we used, one had open slot next to entrance and the gym was in the second floor. TV in the playroom didn't work in those months that we trained there. Nice to workout when your child can run out.
The other gym had a real, separate room for children, it was very small. More like a cabinet than a room. Quite nicely it also had a automatic light switch that turned off every 5 minutes or so if the door was closed. You can image how our two and half year old was very pleasantly surprised when put in to this "cabinet where darkness arrives automatically". It seemed to have some movement sensor that should have kept the light on if there were some movement in the room, but that sensor was broken and the bare electric contacts were exposed.
When we have been in contact with this company about non-working Wi-Fi and other issues, like only Danish contract and the gym personnel who outright lied to us about the contract cancellation notice period.
This is what we have heard:
- We are stupid when we have signed something that we haven't understood.
- Their printers can print out only both Danish and English versions of the contract (the must have some very special fitness.dk printers??) and that is why we have been given the terms in English as well as Danish
- They are sorry that their personnel has given us incorrect information (lied), but that doesn't change the contract terms. We'll have to pay. In other terms, they apologized that we were given incorrect information, but still it was our own fault and we are stupid.
- They have decided not to answer any other questions or problems that we have reported. Only to the fact that they claim that we own them money for something that we haven't used, when we have cancelled our contracts as instructed by their own personnel.
- They don't seem to know that you can't advertise something without delivering it (no Wi-Fi even when clearly advertised).
(google for european consumer law, for example)
I would guess that according to the law they should be responsible of things that their personnel tells to customers, but no. Their opinion is that they can say whatever and act completely differently, once you have signed something.
We have been asking some kind of verification to their claims that we would have seen the terms in English when we've signed for the membership, but the answers are first something very vague (like very special printer system) followed by threats for huge debt collection fees...
This chain is in total to be skipped, personnel are friendly, but lie to you with smile on their face. And after dealing with the customer "service" it seems to be company policy.
Gyms themselves are mediocre at best, the chain seems to exist only to collect big number of "trainers" who just like tell their friends that they are members of fitness club rather than people who would actually train at the centers.

Shortly said I went from really liking this gym to hating it. I've been a member since around 2010 and I never had any problems until this year. The problems showed up after my boyfriend started training at the same gym. In the start everything was fine but then suddenly fitness dk stopped sending us the regular bills for my boyfriend's membership and the only thing we got was the reminder bills where they charge you 100 kr extra. At first I thought it was our fault and we paid it. But then again next time we didn't receive the regular bill and since then it continued like that. The reminder bills were all we got even though I called fitness dk's customer support and the lady I talked to said that the bills were sent but that wasn't true. And there is nothing wrong with the address or the post office since we did get the reminders.
After all these incidents my boyfriend cancelled his subscription and now it's my turn as well but because of another reason. I find the prices terribly high. I had an ANYTIME membership which increased from 299 kr per month to 399 kr just when I turned 26. I know it's their rules but it still leaves a bitter aftertaste that they don't send out a reminder e-mail that the price is gonna be higher, just like they do it in the case of other price increases. I don't think that people actually remember about the price change when they get past 24 (the age varies depending on the local gym according to their rules) but yeah, happy birthday.

The gym itself is not usually clean. Either there isn't enough dis-infectant or no tissues. The toilets are also messy with no toilet papers.
Other than that the possibilities are ok.Sometimes there is a line for cardio machines.

It's a very good gym. It has everything and has better equipment then Fitness World. The only thing it's missing is to have two of everything because when you are there in a busy time you will have to wait a lot after everything and also the weights. Also they should make a 24hr gym like Fitness World because sometimes they close too early in the weekends. But that's the fifth star.

I am really satisfied of working out in fitness dk.
Great facilities and service.
Hope you always keep it up this good service.

Reza
Good ventilation, large changing rooms, many machines, nice staff; all in all a nice center with a calm environment.
Compare to other fitness centers Fitness DK is more convincing than any other which I have been a member of. It has a nice clean and cool environment and offers good extra courses and deals.
