Too little space in the classrooms
Center is newly renovated and clean. The problem is that they overestimate the space in the classrooms and let in too many people. This results in that there is no optimal space to train and the instructor has no possibility to get to the pupils and support them.

Would not recommend
Costs money to downgrade to cheaper plan, can not pause membership more than one month, need to pay for one month on top of the month I want to pay for, rude staff while I was being calm

It costs DKK 50. to downgrade membership or change the main center.
You can change your membership in one of our centers or by contacting member relation.
You can pause your membership for 30 days at a time and it costs DKK 29. per time. As soon as the break is over, you can extend the break. You will not pay for the inactive days.

I am left confused with this company
I am left confused with this company. I loved their facility in Aarhus, Scandinavian Centre. I am an expat in Aarhus. Last year I was registered with them on the monthly basis. An older guy signed me up very quickly at the centre without much fuss . I paid and recieved a card. Every months, I would get a text, I would pay and my card worked for the entire month. My card was good until I paid for the access. This is what I asked for and what I understood I got.
In February, after using it for a few days, had to leave Denmark for a few months. When I came back in late June, I realized that collection agency is demanding 1500 DKK, with half of it in fees.! They said I didn't cancel my membership. I didn't know that and this is not what I wanted or told when I applied for a month to month, pay for access service.
The dilema is that my family and I intend to go back and use the gym for the remaining of the year. The greedy collection wouldn't let it go. I am very upset about the whole thing. I am a loyal client of the FW, but they sent me to the collection..sad

With a regular membership, you will have to pay monthly and there you will then have to terminate the membership. Upon termination, there is an ongoing month plus one month, and you can terminate it in the center, by contacting member relation or online under My Fitness World.
If you wanted to have a prepaid membership, then you are not bound beyond the period you buy for. A month prepaid membership costs DKK 399 and can only be bought in the center every month.

Personal training with Jon Marinel: Highly recommended!
I was doubtful about joining a gym after many years but I am glad that I did. I was searching for guidance to get healthier and do more physical activity. Weight loss was also my goal - I had started on my own but got stuck at a point. Jon provided me with the perfect expertise and motivation. He is a wonderful trainer - made me feel comfortable right from first day. He is kind and compassionate but also tough. He has successfully helped me lose some weight, but more importantly keeps motivating me to go in the right direction. He is responsive to questions on sms and I truly appreciate the support he provides. Jon has my highest recommendation as a personal trainer.

Most of the time there is a mess with…
Most of the time there is a mess with the weight and there is not enough weights anyway. Many times I had to wait a long time (or gave up) to meet a front-desk staff to buy some protein. Put the proteins in a machine if you want to sell more!

You can buy protein powder within the staffing period. Our staff in the centers will be out in the center and have a lot of tasks to do. There will therefore be a bell you can ring on so the staffing comes.

Good price
Good price. A lot of options around the city. The bad thing is that ~90% of the things are in danish - which makes sense, of course, but can creates some difficulties for foreigners at first!

Terrible monthly payments ! (not fixed fees)
It is an "ok" gym, with not enough machines to work with anyway. The big problem is that constantly they charge extra, and when I go to the desk, they seem to solve my problem, but in the end, the gym ends up deactivating my subscription, and always charges me more than what I should pay to activate it again. It has been a recurrent issue. I have tried to call, but there is no phone number I can call. Payment wise it's a torture!

Absolutely terrible
Absolutely terrible. After I quit they have charged me 4 months on top (T&Cs say 2), and now I have an additional bill, with interest, as they are claiming that some of my payment is still owed. I have proof of the bank transactions.
Fitness World are criminals. They have robbed me blind and I hope they burn in hell.
