Evidence of being instore and receiving a Discount Voucher of Up to 25%* off has been sent to Trustpilot. FOAMROOF have told Trustpilot (words to the effect) that I was not a genuine customer and that they had no dealings with me. I made an appointment with FOAMROOF via a salesman instore at Wickes in Sowton Industrial Estate Exeter. The Surveyor was due to arrive at 2pm and I received a call at 12:30pm saying they had "CAR TROUBLE" My issue isn't simply the cancellation of appointment it was the shear fact that the person on the other end was vague about another possible appointment and wouldn't arrange on which is what I thought was strange. Yes I advised that they should get a hire car or taxi as that is what I would have done as a professional. It isn't about a "FREE" quote it is about the fact that people take half days or full days off for people to attend appointments. I am cross that my review that is genuine is able to be removed so easily. Check out the reply on Google! The owner isn't denying that I was genuine then, especially when they said about their pilot being unable to attend too! I stand by my review and say that this company "IS UNPROFESSIONAL" in the way they deal with potential customers. (Response from the owner2 months ago Hi Tammy, Do you really think we are unprofessional calling 1.5 hours before to let you know that we are having trouble getting to you and we are happy to reschedule? We are sorry that we have not hired a car or used a taxi and then not hired a car or used a taxi and then not charged you for a free quotation. Also the company jet was booked in for a service and the pilot is unavailable too. However we can arrange for someone to see you later in the week.) "Unprofessional" If the surveyor that has an appointment with us at 2pm is having "car trouble" before 12:30pm then the professional thing to do would be to keep the appointment with the client by hiring a car or using a taxi. Thank goodness we didn't even manage to get the quote...… Saved by a country mile one thinks! (As I can't seem to reply to Foamroof's reply I will add this to my post. There wasn't an option to reschedule as the sales person on the phone was very vague which I found very odd! I am not happy at all that you are also stating to TrustPilot that I haven't had any dealing with you and are trying to force the removal of my feedback via them! We initially had a home visit on the 2nd of September, agreed to have the product and paid a £600 deposit. However on discussion with relevant professional friends, they advised us against it for various factors. We contacted the company via telephone and informed them we wanted to cancel within less then 24 hours--signed the correct paperwork and sent it via special delivery. No quibble refund if cancelling within 14 days. Refund process takes 3-10 working days as we all know it can take longer then money initially comming out - no problem. My husband contacted the company to check the letter had been received on the 4th- it had.
No refund for a 2 week period. So my husband contacted the company several times and told Chris the finance guy was on Holiday, then was sick and then had car troubles!
My husband got fed up and eventually damanded to speak to the MD through complete lack of faith of Chris. He apolagised and rung back explaining Chris had forgotten to refund our money. He assured it would be done on Friday 4th of October and explained it would by 3 - 10 days to go through.
On the 8th my husband called again as no refund showing still, so the MD promised he would find the transaction number and call back with this info on the same day. We didn't hear anything from the MD on that day, so yet another phone call on the 9th. We where told that the MD was unwell and promised someone would look into it and call us back the same day, which again did not happen.
Today being the 14th of October after yet another call today, the MD is unsurprisingly out for the whole day. He's not answering his mobile phone either. Nobody seems to know anything, there isn't anyone else willing to take responsibility for this issue in his absence. I've asked for anyone in the company to find the transaction number to prove its been issued, so we can check with our credit card company. I'm not holding my breath!
We have now instructed our credit card company to try and recover the money. As this company clearly dosent want to return our money. Complete lack of customer service and we feel poor ethics. I would normally be hesitant in leaving a bad review prior to the issue being resolved, however this is causing a considerable amount of stress. I don't want anyone else having to fight to get thier money returned like we are.
*EDIT*
Afer speaking to a lady called Tracy today, we have now been refunded via bank transfer. This has taken several phone calls today with herself and the MD. Tracy has been the only person who has kept us in the loop and actually sorted the issue. Which we are greatfull for. However the bank transfer could of happened weeks ago.
We have been also asked to remove / amend the star rating, now we have been refunded. We will not be adjusting our star rating, due to this taking just under 6 weeks and causing alot of stress and time to sort.
Unfortunately I can not recommended this company to others. I hope you use our experience as an opportunity to review how you communicate with customers and your refund policy.

After my post yesterday
After my post yesterday, an email was received from Foamroof together with a screen shot of a refund which will apparently take up to 10 days to be processed. Hopefully this is now the end of this saga.

We had this done last autumn so have had it through a winter and summer now. Very happy with it, it has adding a good extra buffer to the external temperatures and kept things warmer in winter and not overheating during the heatwaves.
It seems to breathe very well, we haven't had any problems with condensation or the like.
They fixed a few external roof problems while they were here as well which was a nice bonus.
Not given all the correct information
The initial contact was very good and explained things clearly. Or so I thought. After the visit and paging the deposit, I did some further research about what estate agents and equityou release firms thought about spray foam for roofs. By equity release company said they would not sanction it. I thought no problem because there was 14 day no quibble refund on deposit and I was cancelling within 4 days. That was 18 days ago and still not received it. TrI'd ringing snd e mailing last week but no one there to speak to. StiLloyd not heard anything today so rang again and told it was processed on 10th July, 11 days after cancelling. Quick to take the deposit but not so quick to repay.

Based on my experience with regard the installation and service, I would not hesitate recommending this company or its workers.
Foamroof team
I have had my loft sprayed with closed cell foam the finish is excellent it has totally transformed the whole loft and with an added Velux wow. But this has only come about with what I can describe as a great team from the original assessment team to the roofer repairing and installing my window and then the final spray team and not forgetting the arrangements made by the young lady at the end of a phone. Well done too you all

Poor company to deal with
Foamroof were unfortunately not particularly easy to deal with.
A BRIEF summary of the issues we have experienced:
- Initial survey advised that work would all be completed in one day. Reality was 4 separate appointments before works were completed.
- Inability to advise when workmen will arrive on the scheduled day.
- Every single piece of information relating to length of time the job will take, dates of works and schedule of works was incorrect and required amendment and rescheduling. This has ultimately led to us having absolutely no trust in their commitments or workmanship.
- Workmen arrived with no knowledge of the job they were completing, meaning they had to leave, purchase supplies and then "rush" the job to get it finished. This ultimately led to a follow up appointment where we thought the foam was being sprayed, but actually the membrane had to be completely re-fitted as it wasn't secured and the wrong material had been used.
- No-shows for appointments.
- Initial surveyor failed to advise that tiles needed replacement so this was not quoted within the initial job. Work completed FOC due to level of issues we had experienced, but should have been identified and costed at the first. Questionable surveyor credibility.
- Inappropriate conduct from one particular workmen whilst on site. I have had multiple contractors on site and not once questioned my safety. Understand that this has been raised internally with staff so hopefully resolved. All subsequent appointments were attended by my husband. Calls in to question their website testimony "Foamroof are a highly ethical company. We therefore expect all of our team to conduct themselves with great courtesy, professionalism and diligence." This was not my experience.
- Reactive customer service. Rather than proactively trying to resolve issues, we were continuously chasing to follow up.
- Work was finally completed after the 4th appointment, but we now have a garden full of rubbish. Original collection was cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances.
Note: They request as part of the contract that you display an advertising board outside your property for 6 weeks following works. We have not done this as are unable to recommend the use of this company.
Note: No compensation granted for inconvenience caused. As mentioned, the tile work was completed FOC BUT this should have been properly surveyed and included within the original quote.
I cannot with any clear conscience recommend this company.

Although the foam has stopped the condensation .I can only describe the finished foam looks like a stormy sea and not smoothish like the pictures shown, also the surveyor did not say there was curtain areas they could not reach , also did not ring me back about roof leaking after I paid them

Delighted with the product
Delighted with the product, both Sean and his partner were fantastic blokes. Our heating broke down last weekend, 25th Jan to 29th Jan, freezing weather, Foamroof made all the difference in keeping the heat in the house.

We were let down twice on the…
We were let down twice on the instalment. We found after the men left that there was an awful mess on the carpets in the loft. It's taken my husband and I all day to scrap carpets and vacuum. Had we known prior we could hv put protective covers on the floor. We had assumed that covers would hv been provided.

Excellent Customer Service
Friendly staff kept me up to date on all aspects of the work. Photographs provided for work completed on roof and an earlier than expected completion date. Had a minor issue but personal call from MD resolved issue within a week customer relations and after thought excellent. Many thanks for the work done noticed the change immediately.
The work carried out by Foamroof.
The preparation work to tidy up the roof and tiles was very professional as was the work done to revert the roof on the extension back to being a flat roof. Very pleased with the latter, First class job that should last for years. Also the foam has been applied okay but I have been disappointed that they didn't lay a sheet on the floorboards in the loft, as they have splattered them with the foam. Likewise the 13amp socket and the lead light I left for them to use was also splattered with foam.
