Great experience with One bank and swift easy service. I used to use Mazuma but the seem nit online paying for items as described and try to reduce your payment once they receive the phone. Have used Fonebank twice now and they are my preferred choice. Thanks
Seemingly a scam!
It’s been over a week and no acknowledgement that my Mac was received. UPS confirmed it has been delivered. All attempts at contacting fonebank have been ignored.
The process was very straightforward, unnervingly so, and perhaps I should have just taken it to CEX. I’m gutted, and out of pocket. :-(

Second time selling to Fonebank. Very straight forward and smooth process. Given good price. Sent off. Received by them and money in bank two days later. Perfect
I will never use Fonebank again
I sent my phone in on 7th December and it was received on 11th December (shown via Royal Mail tracking from the provided label). There were then no further updates.
I called their other company Smartfone Store (same small building), someone answered, and I was basically brushed off. In the end, a few days later, I called again and spoke to someone named Andrew at Smartfone Store and emailed them at his request, a day later I heard back from Fonebank. I had excuses about COVID, and apparently an "error in my order", but they never let me know. There was also no “error” in my order. Andrew appears to be the only positive I can find so my thanks to him.
I was finally paid on 21st December. PLEASE if you are thinking of using this company, try to call or email them via the details listed on their website BEFORE sending your device. The emails bounce back, the phone number on the website is never answered (I have called dozens of times). PLEASE take this warning and call or email before sending your device to see for yourself. It is not worth the stress and hassle.
In future I will stick with CEX who at least have a high street presence so you can speak to a person, and they answer emails. CEX also offered £3 more for my phone, but Fonebank didn't require the charger. For the sake of a new charger I could have saved myself a whole lot of trouble and wasted time. I will never use this company again.

I FOLLOWED THE ONLINE INSTRUCTIONS TO THE LETTER , SPENT £10 ON SPECIAL DELIVERY AND THEN GET AN E MAIL STATING THAT I HAD SENT THE WTONG ITEM ( NO I DID NOT ) . I HAVE THEN SPENT ABOUT AN HOUR TRYING TO REPLY TO THEIR E MAIL ..BUT EACH TIME IT GETS BOUNCED BACK . I STRONGLY SUGGEST THAT ALL THE REVIEWS ARE FRAUDULENT UNTIL I AM PROVED INCORRECT . I WILL BE REPORTING FONE BANK TO BBC WATCHDOG OR CITIZENS ADVICE AND ANYONE ELSE FOR THAT MATTER !!!!

Claimed fault with phone screen to lower price.
I sent a phone to them after agreeing a price. The phone was in good condition and fully working. They then offered me half the original price they quoted saying there was screen burn. They sent a low res picture that did not show anything in particular wrong with it. I told them to return the phone which they did. When the phone arrived back here I cannot see any issues with the screen even under a magnifier. I wonder is this is standard practice to lower the price hoping you will just agree to the lower price. It's a pity that I cannot attach a photo to this review to show that the phone is screen is fine. Also, before you use them, try emailing them and see what happens.
