Furniture Village - Abingdon Reviews 

From the very beginning I was very happy the way I could stroll around the store at my leisure. One of the assistants even made me a cup of tea when I mentioned I had not long had a shingles vaccination, just come from GP and I was feeling very warm ...how was that for customer care!!
I went in a few times trying to decide what would best suit my home. Philip, a sales advisor was very helpful and I decided on a TV bed after he demonstrated so favourably with his huge variety of music and a film that was playing.
I went back in to check I was deciding on the right bed and again I had been looking for a dining table and chairs. I had done so much research with so many different companies for beds and dining sets. The laid back attitude of staff made me feel confident I was in the right place and I bought the TV bed and table with chairs. I even added two display cabinets.
The organisation was like clock work. I was called from the warehouse when items were ready. We fixed a date and I was I advised the day before delivery waa ready and the delivery fitters called me when they were near by.
They were all very pleasant, worked solidly until finished. I am absolutely delighted with the quality of products, workmanships, warehouse and showroom staff.
So few shops are left where you felt you had such personal service.

I had my order of 2 recliner chairs and foot stools delivered by Pa and Jo who were so polite and friendly.
They took great care when bringing the chairs into the house making sure that nothing was damaged. Pa followed your company proceedures and explained what he was doing. He was knowlegable about how the chairs worked and I could not fault how professional both of them were an asset to your company.

Richard was very helpful. Didn’t rush me. Let me look around and make sure there I hadn’t just settled for the first couch I saw. I made up my mind after sitting on a few more. Then came back to order two couches and a poof. Plus I needed a three quarter bed som bedside cabinets. Richard was very patient with me and helped me with that too. Definitely a good experience.

I was at ease talking to Paige P about the settee and chair, she was cheerful and very helpful regarding my enquiry, and arranged for a specialist to set up a visit in the next few days.

What a disappointment!!! Spent thousands over the years and been very happy with furniture village Abingdon but not this time, purchased two sofas and a dinning table and 8 chairs from them spent a few thousand pounds. I was also persuaded to buy the warranty I was told it would cover absolutely everything , I thought it was a good idea because I have dogs ! my sofa is 19 months old and it is peeling really bad , contacted the supposed warranty that covered everything and they have said it’s wear and tear to go back to the shop. I went back to the shop and even the assistant said that’s it was not wear and tear. I left them with pictures and a few days later got a call to say nothing they can do. What has happened to furniture village it was our place to go ? all they need to do was repair it and everything would have been great and we would still have shopped there and recommend them. Very very poor service this time !!! I have been looking at reviews can any one tell me if Kieran who asked for more information actually helped ? I am just in the process of court action . I cannot stress enough I have always been happy but to spend your hard earned money and get treated like this is out of order SHAME ON THIS COMPAY !

Paige was very helpful regarding the stain on the armchair. She has now organised for delivery of a replacement chair.

The mattress I bought was brilliant, except that it was (is) too firm, & caused much pain & discomfort.
Having obtained the go-ahead to swap (under the terms of purchase) - & that experience was also 5*, thank you to the young lady on the 'phone)l - I asked in store, & their attitude was 'of course, how may we help' - just the manner of customer service from which many others could learn.
Friendly, responsive, helpful, open to feedback from users - a refreshing change, harkens back to the customer experience of many decades ago.
Two people in particular, but I won't name them - if they read this, they'll know.

I await the replacement one, soft this time!

I have no connection with them except as a first time customer &, when we need something else, they'll be our first choice to browse.
(I also purchased another pillow whilst there, another seamless experience.)

Did not feel under pressure to buy today, but the young man who spoke to us was very happy to help offering advice. Very friendly but not pushy. Unfortunately I did not get his name, if it helps we brought 6 dining room chairs

My mum was at the replacement of the legs of the chair, they took off the legs that clearly had a spin on and repayment with basic legs, so chairs do not match. They delivery guys would have known this, but still choose to replace with different legs. Back customer care

We are in the process of buying a dining table and six chairs from the Abingdon store. So far so good. Carl has been great. He is very approachable, helpful and has been great keeping us up-to-date. We are looking forward to receiving our orders.
