Very very helpful staff love the sofa I chosen but not delivered yet!!

Today we bought a small double mattress from your Colchester store in Staines park, Tollgate. The department manager (whose name has escaped me) was an absolute delight to help us choose the mattress. We would like to thank him and are looking forward to receiving it. Andrea

We walked in for the first time ever into furniture village in Colchester branch. Had been recommended previously but never thought it would be worth it. Paul and Alan were absolutely amazing helping us choose the colour scheme for the scatter cushions, advising on the fabric due to dog and breed, advised about taking out the accidental cover. I had told Paul soon as we walked in that I’m fussy, and I can’t always choose on the spot but, soon as I saw this specific sofa I knew I wanted it, the colour, fabric and scatter cushions were arranged and we were given 3 of the scatter cushions free of charge along with free delivery, I cannot thank Paul & Alan enough for their friendliness, professional approach, we were even offered hot/cold drink.
It was just a wow factor for me. Never have an ever been made to feel so special in any shop.

The customer service when something does not go right is absolutely shocking. I am writing this on behalf of my mums on going experience. Two sofas were meant to be delivered on the 18th February. She got a phone call from the delivery drivers 5 minutes before they delivered one sofa saying that someone was supposed to call her informing her that there would only be one sofa arriving and no one did until the drivers told us. It is now the 27th of February and surprise surprise still no sofa. We have phoned up nearly everyday since trying to find out when our sofa will be delivered which has been paid full on the day we went in store and ordered it. When the sofa was delivered we was told it would be with us within the week and now the staff at dartford depot and furniture village have no clue where it is and what’s going on. I have been told that the store manager of furniture village would call me back yesterday and today and no one has called. So you have taken my money and not given me my product. Unfortunately, if you are not able to provide us with the sofa in a reasonable amount of time we will have to get in contact with trading standards as no one from this company knows anything apparently.

Me and my partner bought a bed from Furniture Village this afternoon for our first home. Gerrell was super helpful from start to finish - encouraging us to try and test the mattresses, giving us all the time we needed to make our decision. He brought us hot chocolates while we were browsing, he was friendly and knowledgeable about the products. We couldn't have bought a bed from any other store!
