This is the second time this year I bought something from GameStop UK.
On 19 Aug (Tuesday) I bought a PS4 Wireless Stereo Headset 2.0 with Standard Shipping. It was shipped on 20 Aug (Wednesday) and delivered on the next day.
This time I pre-ordered a PS4 Driveclub Mega Bundle with FREE Express Shipping (due to its value) on 8 Oct (Thursday). It was shipped on 9th Oct and it arrived on 13 Oct (Monday). It did not arrive on release date but that is not a problem for me as I just went for the price.
During this time I contacted GS UK by email to ask for my tracking code and they answered me promptly. They even explained me how their shipment process works. (Thanks, Heidi!)
No issues with them like others seem to have had. Am I lucky or did they improved their service (compared to what others have experienced)? Guess I will have to buy from them again to find out.

I having been searching for a ps4 headset online for a while, and when I had placed an order with another company it was a nightmare, took my money, no item sent then told me I would have to wait for 2 months for stock after repeated enquiries. I found this same item cheaper on gamestop and initially I had my reservations as I had never used them before, but I'm glad to say they really do take care of you! My enquiries were answered with speed and efficiency and the gent Alan who helped me was great, he even gave me free express delivery due to plight caused by the other company. I would recommend gamestop to all gamers and they will definitely be getting my buisness in the future.

Traded them my games recorded delivery. They signed for them almost a month ago but have not sent the £80 credit they owe me. Been sending emails / calling for 3 weeks and never had a single reply from them. I've never felt hate for a company before like I do for GameStop!! Will never use them again and I advise to avoid at all costs.

Worst gaming retailer I've ever come across, be warned that there customer support is non existent, ticket system on their website is completely ignored, they ignore requests for help on facebook and twitter unless it suits them (i.e. someone wanting to spend money) and also don't respond to e-mails either. Been trying for 4 days to get in contact with them over £130 being taken from my bank which they had no right to do with absolutely no luck, they didn't dispatch my game but took my money which goes against their own FAQ, the reviews on this page speak for themselves, do not trust this company, you will lose out.
Wouldn't use trade-in offers again
The trade-in offers for cheap pre-order games are great, but only if they pay up. I sent in my pre-order trade-in, was charged full amount with a promise of a refund "when we get round to processing the trade-in" as they misjudged demand and had, I quote, "a huge pile to get through" and I never heard anything again. No refund, no returned game, nothing. No help from customer services (just an anonymous online contact system). Leaves a bitter taste. Will stick to Amazon in future as I trust them not to rip me off.
Utter Garbage
Took advantage of the Watchdogs trade in offer, got confirmation that I would be charged 14.97, got an invoice for 14.97 - got charged 47.97. Really not happy or optimistic for my order of FIFA15....😠

My worst shopping experience ever.
Wow - they really are as bad as the reviews say. Ordered a PS4 with game, was told with express shipping it would dispatch in 1 - 2 days. A few days passed and it still hadn't been dispatched. I emailed customer support to ask for a rough estimate when it'd arrived, so I could arrange to take the day off work. Email ignored. Sent another. Ignored again. Contacted through facebook. Ignored again. Wrote on their facebook wall, saw dozens of other people asking the same thing.... now the paricular bundle I purchased has been removed from their site. Alarm bells.
Naturally got a bit nervous about this so looked up some reviews (I'm an idiot for not researching them to begin with) and read some truly awful stuff about how people had been waiting three weeks for goods, had been charged double, sent download codes (!!!!!!) for games, even though they'd paid for retail ones, waiting several months for refunds, being sent preowned consoles when they'd ordered new ones .... and the common complaint of how they don't respond to ANY emails. It's not that the customer service is bad per se, it's that they don't actually seem to HAVE a customer service. Even their contact number is 118, meaning you will get charged through the nose (and chances are the problem won't even be resolved). The complaints office number is permanently engaged, so you can't even contact them there. In other words, if something goes wrong (and it probably will) you are effectively screwed.
Some advice - If you are in the UK and have purchased anything from them, you have a right to cancel your order, under the "consumer contract information, cancellation additional charges and regulations 2013" (quote this in an email/letter). They legally have 14 days to refund you - if they don't, threaten them with the european consumer centre (trading standards can't do much as they're based in ireland - but trading standards can help you progress to the european consumer centre if need be). If you paid with a debit card (as I did, rather than a credit card), you can get chargeback - the card provider will refund you.
I'm aware gamestop is an american company, so no idea what the US branch is like - I wonder if they are aware of the uk arm tarnishing their reputation?

You guys has received a large wanting of a special offer and its understandable, but still your guys kept me up to date on the whole things, explaining what had gone wrong, what you were doing to correct it and updates. Saw the great offer on preorders but they want the money now! Which is not ok. I've called them with no avail and never get a reply from email's either!. Was warned from a store gamestop was appalling I see they was correct lesson learned here it was to good to be true.

the most frustrating thing was trying to get through on your phone number, which i managed a couple of times but for the number of times i tried was awful. once i had response from my email and i had someone to contact directly everything was fine, he helped me and even answered questions about another order, cannot fault his help at all.

Expected the worst...
I had seen Gamestop had a pre-order trade in offer for the PS4 game 'The Last of Us', but had heard less than favourable things about them.
I decided to chance my arm as even without the trade-in offer (selected game traded in - The Last of Us becomes £10), the game was still cheaper than with most other retailers. The full price of the game was taken - not a problem as this was made clear when I put the transaction through.
I received the game on the day of release in perfect condition (the least one should expect) and have just received a refund of £20, making the game £9.97!
Clearly there are issues, as evidenced by the volume of poor ratings but I'm happy to say I got the deal I expected.
Avoid at all costs!!
