Worst customer service I have ever experienced.

Stay well away from ever doing business with this company, never in my life have I received such a poor online shopping experience.
I ordered 9 Disney Infinity Figurines from them to take advantage of their buy 2, get one free deal only to this very day I have yet to receive any acknowledgement whatsoever that they have shipped or even bothered to process my order. They've had no problem charging my debit card for the transaction but to this day have not shipped the items I ordered from them.
It's been an entire months and I can't get in contact with them in any way whatsoever over the issue. They've ignored every single attempt I've made to reach their customer service within an entire month, don't answer their emails, calls and barely respond to any complaints received through social media.

This isn't just a one off situation I'm involved in however which is why I'm writing this review. If you go through their forums or through sites like Twitter you can see nothing but a sea of complaints from angry customers like myself who have had to wait entire months for their products with no response from the unprofessional and unhelpful staff and when those people do finally get seen to, they were all given instant refunds after more than a month of waiting for their products without even giving them the option or offering any explanation whatsoever as to why they were unable to ship them their products or if they even bothered to attempt to.

This is just one of the many problems with this company, it's widely known that Gamestop repackage used games and sell them labeled as new.
It's an absolute marvel why they haven't been taken to court with lawsuits more often or have been shut down completely over the way they run their business.

Take my advice, even if you see a good deal, stay clear of these criminals and stick with a retailer you can trust.
Why this place is even allowed to continue business is beyond me.

Perfect, fast and cheap

I preordered Final Fantasy X HD for the Vita from here, and it arrived on release day in, of course, perfect condition.
I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Terrible

Gamestop were offering a product a nice amount cheaper than their rivals so I put in an order. A company as big as Gamestop how wrong could I go? turns out very.

The only support they offer is via email. I have sent several messages and all have gone unanswered after days. After some looking around I found a phone number listed on their site but this is just on a permanent divert to an answerphone. I gave them a weeks notice to try and cancel a preorder and its looking like its not going to get cancelled. My problem is, IF they actually send me the goods (I am not convinced there are actually any staff behind this site) I am not confident ill get any kind of customer service / money back if I return it.

I would strongly recommend avoiding this site at all costs. I just wish I had paid that little bit more and used a company I can trust.

Shocking customer service

Before I pre-ordered a game from Gamestop... I read all the bad reviews about them but noticed on their facebook page that they'd had system issues over christmas. So I thought now that the xmas rush is out of the way.. surely they won't be too busy for my order? But I was wrong.

I put my pre-order in a month before the game came out. Gamestop say they post 2 days before release so that you should receive it on release day. When release day came they still hadn't even posted it!!! I tried contacting them by email.. had no reply after 24hrs so I tried calling 3 times. Left a voicemail.. still no reply. Eventually got replies from my emails 2 days later just to tell me it's not been dispatched yet. By this point I just cancelled my order.. I don't want to give my money to any company that operates this poorly.

Even if they would have said sorry there's a delay.. etc.. I wouldn't have minded. But there was no communication and they're almost impossible to get hold of.

Very disappointing

Ordered an in stock ps4 about a week and half ago through express delivery and still haven't received it. After many e-mails I recieved a phone call and they told me it would be shipped on friday so I have to wait till monday to receive it. AN ABSOLUTE JOKE!

Game stopper should be the name

Ordered a game on Boxing Day . Money taken immediately. As of today still no game but a shed load of grief trying to find out if game in stock, when it will be sent, and why money was taken. The web-site is glossy but the service is shoddy. I would never place an order with this company again and recommend anyone else to think carefully before they do.

Wouldn't touch them with a barge pole!

I ordered some stuff from them, which was listed 'in stock' and was still in stock for a few hours afterwards. Over a week later, was e-mailed to say it was out of stock, order had been cancelled and card refunded.

Tried e-mailing during this time and was only replied to a week later despite chasing them, tried calling the phone number on the website numerous times and only ever got put through to the voicemail after several rings- the opening times for the phone number are poor enough as it is - but as they never answer, its not worth contacting.

Emailed several times to ask where my order from 26th December is and getting no replies from them. Have ordered in the past and been fine so wondering if they sold me stuff they didn't have and awaiting stock.

Avoid at your peril!!!

Like the reviewer below I also received a pre-owned game which had a cover that had appeared to have severe water damage and several rips, no manual included and a game disc that had a physical gouge in the top of the disc (label side) and lots of scratches on the bottom.
I emailed Gamestop twice to complain and received a very short abrupt reply similar to the person below, I didn't bother returning the game as I highly doubt I would get a refund if they cannot even reply to emails.

A useless joke of a company (that appears to be very well run over in the USA) which I shall never purchase anything from again and advise all I have contact with against it also!

Rubbish customer service - Patronising staff

Ordered a pre-owned game and received a copy without a cover or manual, and a flimsy replacement case. I complained about this as none of it was mentioned in the product description and I was told in a patronising manner it was perfectly acceptable for pre-owned games to be in this condition without being informed it was missing parts, and that maybe I had accidentally clicked pre-owned (because basically I didn't understand what pre-owned was)

They gave me a returns address, I said I shouldn't have to pay for returning it myself because the item didn't match the description and photo to which they didn't reply. So I brought it up on Facebook with the company and the person who runs their Facebook page said e-mail to get a pre-paid postage label, so I did and they just didn't bother replying.

It's safe to say I won't be buying anything from them again.

As a footnote I'd also like to add that the actual disc was definitely the worst condition one I've had from any games shop, and I've bought a lot of games on disc in the last 15 years. It appears to play but I'm dreading getting further in to the game. Apparently they test them but if their commitment to testing games is anything like their commitment to helping customers then the chances of getting a duff copy are high.

Do not buy from Gamestop.co.uk - they do not refund returns - scam

Ordered a game from GameStop UK, but changed my mind and returned it well within the 7 days as stated in T&C's with competed returns form etc.

No refund for about a week after retuning it so I chased up the refund up with Gamestop.co.uk.

Received an email saying that they have received it back but as it is "has been unsealed, we cannot accept this as a return. As a gesture of goodwill I will get this re-sent to you.".

However the game was brand new and returned exactly as I received it, I never opened it just sent it back as I received it with the completed returns form following the procedure in their T&C's.

I would avoid as I think their customer service is terrible and they seem to be running a scam if you try and return any game they lie and say that it has been opened so that they don't have to refund you.

Buy from one of the many other online game retailers with much better customer service and cheaper prices.
