Yesterday, I submitted my final assignment of the course. Whilst this gives a good feeling that I've completed the course, it's also tinged with a bit of sadness. I enjoyed the course and I've grown... See more

Very good tutors
Very good tutors, course materials and website format.
I did find some of the assignment questions a bit vague but was able to get clarity from messaging my tutor.

A great course for both an experienced gardener or a complete beginner
The postgraduate diploma is an interesting and enjoyable course with a highly experienced and very supportive tutor. The content provides a good mix of theory and practical work, both in the classroom and in local public gardens and is ideal for anyone either wanting to make a career move or just to enhance their own knowledge.

I am really enjoying my course
I am really enjoying my course. I wish I could study full time but unfortunately I have to fit it around work. The only thing I wish was different is I wish I could preview all the assignments instead of waiting to see them as I submit earlier assignments.

Excellent Garden Design Course
Wanted to take an interest in Garden design to the next level. So decided to sign up to the BAGD Post Graduate Diploma in Garden Design. This is my first remote learning course, very easy to get started and a very interesting and engaging syllabus. Lecturers are very communicative and supportive. I would recommend this course.

I started my course during lockdown for personal development, initially struggling with it all being online, as this was something new to me. I am now just over half way through and finding it easier and enjoying it more especially working on the design drawings. My tutor is very helpful and when I email a query she comes back to me within 24 hours. I like the fact that you can work at your own speed within the 3 year time limit. To date I really feel that I have learnt a lot which is giving me confidence when looking at all aspects of garden design.

The course met my expectations
The course met my expectations. I think distance learning is harder than a classroom based course because although there was always someone on hand to discuss queries, I would have preferred to talk through my ideas with someone in class while the work is in front of them.

Post Grad Garden Design
I've really enjoyed my Post Graduate Diploma of Garden Design. I wasn't sure about studying on-line but the support was great and my course built a little community of support together. The tutor replied to any query really quickly so you never felt on your own.

BAGD: a high level Academy!
I finally completed my Post Graduate Diploma and I can leave my feedback!
When I enrolled in the Post Graduate Diploma I thought it would be easy because, working in an architectural firm, I was quite familiar with technical drawings, presentation of the project to the client etc, but I was wrong! It was very challenging for me to perform the assigned tasks and I had to work on parts of myself that I struggled to bring out (such as creativity and emotions). It was a difficult work but it was absolutely worth it! Fortunately, my tutors always helped me patiently, they were very professional and prepared. The course is really complete and garden design is dealt with at 360 °: design, history of gardens, garden styles, legislation, botany, business management ... it's all there.
I think it’s very positive that the course program was so broad and well done and that I was asked every time I gave an assignment to do more and better. This obviously "forces" in some way, regardless of the starting point, to a path of growth that in my case has made me more confident of the quality of my work.
Furthermore, over the years I have always found student service very good. Even though the staff has changed, the service has always remained very good. When I have emailed for various reasons, the responses have always been quick, thorough and kind. Particularly in the last months of my course I had a greater need to communicate with the student service and I was pleasantly surprised to find an outstretched hand ready to help me (not only in words but also in deeds). Although I was under stress, I never had the impression that I was considered a problem or that the problem I had posed was not taken seriously. The student service was essential for me to feel in good hands and never left alone with my problems. I think I can't thank enough all those who collaborated in some way in the successful conclusion of my studies.

An all-round course with great staff
I am part way through the course and my assignments. I agree with the comments from the other students about supportive and constructive feedback on assignments.
Recently, I have had quite a lot of contact with student services about trying to complete the assignments for the course. They have been immensely helpful and understanding about the very slow production of my assignments 🙈! If any of you are hesitating about starting the course because of other commitments, possibly family or work, have a discussion with student services. I’m sure you’d be able to negotiate the course/life balance, as I have! Student services have been massively supportive and encouraging to me 👍🏽 for which I am hugely grateful!! A big thank-you to them all!

Great course for a beginner
My husband bought me this course as he thought it would be cheaper than hiring a landscape gardener. I was somewhat sceptical at first to say the least but I have been very impressed the way each assignment builds up your knowledge and confidence. Tutors are always very helpful and I would fully recommend it.

As mature student from Germany I enrolled about two months ago. By now I have finished my first assignment and got my first feedback. I am content to have passed well and I liked the detailed and helpful feedback. I think everyone at the academy works in a very professional way with the attempt to get ahead the students.

Super supportive student services
The tutors & services team are always so supportive and helpful. I recently had a question where I didn't think there would be a solution to it, Luana in Services listened and immediately surprised me with a solution that I was so grateful of. They really want you to succeed and make the learning experience great.

Studying and learning again at the age of 55 !
Having started Post Grad Diploma there are many questions. Learning again at the age of 55 comes with its great advantages and very few disadvantages. The Tutors are a great help. I've emailed Renata morning noon and night and she always comes back with the correct logical answer. Ensure you make a regular set time for your study - If you snooze you will lose!!

I’m loving this garden design course
I’m loving this garden design course, it’s challenging as I’ve never done any technical drawing before but with the help of some good books, my co learners, course tutor and feedback from the academy’s fantastic assessment team I am rapidly developing my knowledge and skills.
I recommend this course - I attended in class sessions.

Post graduate diploma
I’m currently doing the in person class every second Saturday and highly recommend it as you will have lots of discussion and tips and it’s nice no meet other students. My assignments are sent in online to a different tutor than in the classroom and they are very supportive with clear feedback of what you have done well and what can be improved. Assignments consists of 3 or 4 tasks and is a mixture of researching various topics, garden history and designing bubble, concept or working plan with a supplied base plan and brief. Really interesting and so much to learn!

Fantastic supported learning!
I'm about a quarter of the way (that's 5 months in my case!) through the online diploma in garden design - so a fair way to go yet - but feel compelled to share that my first impressions are seriously good. As a 'mature' student simply wanting to learn some new skills to support my ' hobby' gardening projects I was at first very unsure whether I would receive enough personal 'online' support to feel like I could make any useful progress but the course tutor (Beatriz) has been superb - always quick to respond with really insightful feedback, advice and pointers towards relevant learning material. I am also already seeing how the assignment tasks are carefully staged so that each time I am building on what I have learned and being stretched just a little bit more. Today I am staggered to have drawn a selection of rather fine looking (tho I say so myself!) 3D trees when just a few months ago the same trees looked like stick drawings. Very worth the investment so far!
