No substantive response to damage case since January
I have been trying since January 2026 to obtain a substantive response from Getaround regarding a €3,300+ clutch and dual-mass flywheel repair after repeated rentals of my vehicle through the platform.
Despite multiple contacts via the app, phone support and email — including to the legal department — I have not received any response beyond automated replies and references to the standard damage compensation procedure, which does not apply in this case.
I have been renting out my car through Getaround for several years and therefore find this lack of response particularly disappointing, especially in light of the recent announcements regarding Getaround’s European expansion and strengthening of its user community.
I still hope the matter can be reviewed properly by a responsible person.
