Great service from the start. After a few bad experiences from different garages I bought my car from Glenfield. What a difference! An honest car dealer at last, kept his word and nothing is a bother.... See more

I found this dealership through auto…

I found this dealership through auto trader - I’d seen a Vauxhall crossland that looked to be a bargain. I applied for finance via AA evolution finance and they accepted my application. The only thing left to do was test drive it and check the car out. I went to the dealership and while test driving noticed the clutch was extremely high and the car was barely moving while the engine was revving like mad. I pointed this out, only to be told that all Vauxhalls are like that…load of nonsense, the clutch was clearly on its last legs. Anyway, I got home and signed the paperwork on the understanding the wet belt and clutch would be fixed. I had been told that the car was going through its MOT before I did the test drive, so I was confused as to why he told me it still needed to go in for its MOT when I was there doing the test drive. I decided to look up the MOT history and discovered it failed its MOT - an issue with the flexi on the exhaust. This is something he failed to mention when I was there for the test drive. I called after finding this out and stressed that I was worried after reading the reviews. I was told the clutch was fine but they’d replace it anyway. He barely acknowledged my concerns and went on about selling hundreds of cars a week. I wasn’t reassured but was hoping for the best. Fast forward to yesterday and I get a call saying they haven’t been paid by the finance company. I called and they told me the dealership is blacklisted and they won’t do business with them. After reading the reviews, I can see why that’s the case and I consider myself lucky that AA evolution are protecting me from making a terrible mistake. I’ve decided to go for a reputable dealership that’s local to me.

Do not buy a car from these people.

So I bought a car from this company at the end of February. It was MOT’d at the time and passed, with no advisories I was told.
Move forward 6 weeks and the “flexi” on the exhaust went. £441 to get a new exhaust.
Move forward three days. The timing belt goes and we now need a new engine. Yes, it was a second hard car but to last 6 weeks only??
I won’t ever go near this company ever again and would not recommend them to anyone.

Avoid!!!! Avoid!!!!

My 17 year old son bought a car from here 4/5 weeks ago and has had nothing but trouble .when we viewed the car and paid deposit we were told car would be ready in a week. Week later they called to say it would be delayed a day which was fine at the time.Went picked it up drove car home during which I smell fumes only to discover they had left the oil cap off engine which had spilled out all over engine bay luckily we got home…Next day when my son went out in car there was knocking coming from front of car.. called them and was returned and they replaced bottom arm and drop link which seemingly the other side had already been done during the prep for collection.Took car away for 2nd time to discover another noise and a rasp from exhaust contacted them and was told it needed a new flexi which I had to organise at they’re cost baring in mind this was supposed to have a full years MOT before collection.. Initially when we picked the car up we were told they were taxing it for 6 months I’m fighting with them 4 weeks later as they failed to tax it and it’s still unresolved after me speaking to someone 2 days ago and they said they would sort it. I need to add there was no V5 or new keepers slip present at time of sale which has prevented me from taxing the car… Raging is an understatement they are a bunch of cowboys who don’t take responsibility for they’re rubbish service and just tell you anything to get you off the phone…1st and last time I will even consider using them and would advise anyone looking at they’re cars to give it a miss it’s not worth the hassle!!! My son paid an extra £300 for 12 month’s warranty we’ll await and see how that pans out 😡😡

NISSAN QUASHQAI 1.2 PETROL WHITE 2014

Bought a car in august 25 a nissan quashqai 1.2 dig petrol white 2014. Got onto motorway fault flashes all way home. Parking aid didn't work so called glenfield motors. Thy had no courtesy car so had to wait weeks. The Car webt back 5 times for repair. Had to go back 5 times and when I picked the car up I was 20 mile into my journey and the car cut out on the motorway. I could've been killed... no joke. Dont go anywhere near this dealership. The guys are selling cars that aren't fit for puroose... it took me just under 6 months for my finance company to reject this car. Diagnostic test said safety issue in all the electrics. They took the car back on the 22nd January 2026... the next day the car was back up for sale for 6k. This car has now been sold onto someone else with problems. I hope whoever you are you read this because there is no way the dealership fixed this car.

After my car died

After my car died, saw one I wanted at Glenfield, guys called me and said they’d reserve it for me and I could see it whenever, went down to see and the in car computer was broken, they replaced it no problem for free with a brand new and latest of tech? The tyre sensor was fixed? Full MOT and good valet done for me collecting the following week. Drove up the road happy as and even the purple alloys are growing on me! Great service from start to finish and said if any issues to get straight back to them. Car in great condition and will definitely use again.

If I could put 0 stars

If I could put 0 stars, I would. Bought a car 3 weeks ago. Nothing but bother, the car has had numerous faults. The staff are unreliable, unhelpful, and have a terrible attitude.

Please avoid

Bought a vehicle back in April and still have the same issues, been back to them for "repair" but issue still exists. Was assured the vehicle would be valeted as a few scratches on paintwork but body work staff apparently taken ill and as soon as he returned I would be contacted to bring vehicle in. After numerous phone calls and false promises the vehicle remains the same. Over £6000 spent on vehicle. On collection of vehicle was assured road tax had been taken care of as v5 was missing. Upon checking, no tax on vehicle. Liars and frauds. Please avoid

Took it back under warranty which is only 1 month by the way . They had car 3 days it never even moved out there compound ( as I work near it ) guy said when a went to pick it up headlights sorted ( lies same problem still there ) and made up some s***e about wing mirrors being modules etc just utter made up urine . Seems to be a trend of selling cars with MOT's with no advisories yet cars have problems .

AVOID!!

Sold me a car back in March, barely had it 2 weeks and it broke down. Back and forth and weeks of getting it 'fixed' (no courtesy car offered or anything) and then got it back after driving 60 odd miles to pick it up for us to get 10 miles down the motorway and it break down again - complete engine cut out. Told them im not taking the car and fair play I got a full refund. Sent them the V5 and spare key tracked delivery.
Fast forward to now where they still haven't changed the registration details, im still down as the registered owner and when called they said they never received the V5, bear in mind this was back in APRIL. They've sold the car again 3 weeks ago and said they spoke to DVLA - I spoke to DVLA and no doubt, they've not made them aware. I've also just received a parking charge for a car I've not owned for months!!! Customer service is shocking and they don't car once the car is sold. AVOID AT COSTS!

I traded in my old car at a fair price and got a great with full service and MOT.

Garage was very busy during the weekend but still managed to get a test drive sorted.

It was a good experience from beginning to end and no issues with the car.

Terrible service

I have never been to a car sales garage before , so had no idea what to expect. Should have been exciting, choosing a car, but actually turned out to be demoralising and disheartening. I made an appointment, then confirmed it on the morning of the appointment, as requested. I was told, more then once, that they sell between 8 - 10 cars a day, so was surprised when I rang through that they actually new who I was before I even gave a name, so obviously not busy with appointments then.
I turned up 5 minutes early, as I believe is good practice. Nobody explained what was going to happen. I was then kept waiting 25 minutes ( +5 minutes because of my prompt arrival ), while the salesman hunted for keys for this car and that, running in and out of the office, and it was complete mayhem.
Obviously my time had no value whatsoever. I got up to leave twice, but then thought I really did want to see the car. Eventually, I was invited to go and look at it ( although the salesman disappeared off again, so I couldn't ask any questions ). Quite a long time later, he put the car ready for me to have a test drive and left me ' to get comfortable '. 5 minutes later, I was still sitting there, wondering if I was expected to drive off without him, and contemplating doing just that. Then I thought it wasn't worth risking getting into bother with the police, so went back inside to see where on Earth he'd got to. He repeated that I was 'supposed to be getting comfortable'. But finally, and apparently reluctantly, he came out.
The clutch felt a bit strange, but he said that was how all French cars worked. That's clearly not true: - I've had two Peugeots and two Clios, and they weren't like this.
We had a very brief run around, then back to the office. He contradicted what I'd been told by one of his colleagues about financing the purchase, so please check very carefully all the details of financing arrangements, if you're buying with finance from this garage.
The whole experience ate a huge chunk out of my afternoon, for a chat or less then 10 minutes and a drive of the same. Perhaps if his colleagues hadn't kept coming in and out and starting up other conversations with him, it might have been better service; it certainly couldn't have been worse.
The car was exactly what I want, but I could only bring myself to make a low offer, as I was very reluctant to buy from them, and it was a relief, tbh, when they declined my offer. I have no intention of increasing it, although I could if I wanted to. Perhaps if I'd been a man and / or in a business suit, they'd have made more effort. I certainly wouldn't go back there, whatever they might be selling in the future.

Stay well clear of this company

So here goes after had mechanic report today and be aware this company is selling cars and covering up faults , bought a car for my daughter her very first car only 18 years old and told everything was ok passed its MOT with flying colours , she’s driving on one of the busiest roads in Scotland at the Perth roundabout when car starts belting smoke and lost its power very nearly causing a lorry to go into the back of her , turns out after mechanic report the car had an oil leak and has been patched up with wrong sealant causing it to gradually lose all its oil and has completely burnt the engine out due to losing all its oil , the car also shows faults with exhaust which going on past MOT has had issues but this company somehow passed the MOT with not one fault and when called they told me they would have fixed everything prior to MOT but can’t show proof , this is a company risking people’s safety to save money be very wary of them as they will tell you we’ve got 40 years as a family business but really they have 40 years of ripping people off , this is now a fight with finance and solicitors and I will make this public on every social media I have to my disposal, stay well clear if you want to be safe. Anyone want photos or mechanic report feel free to ask and I will be uploading to all social media this company is advertising on

All this from a new MOT with no advisories and 4 thousands miles a year later this!!!
I'll update review when I get a price from the local garage.
Just under £600 for my troubles. 🫤
