AWFUL!

Really wish I had read reviews before purchasing insurance with this company. I went snowboarding and injured both my arms whilst I was away. We paid for the treatment as you do when you are abroad. Came home and submitted my documents and evidence straight away. This was the 5th of March this happened and keeping in mind I purchased insurance with cover for winter sports. After numerous emails without a response I sent one stating how frustrating it was and got a reply pretty much straight away saying my case was still being looked into! They state 10-15 days is how long it takes and here I am nearly 3 months later chasing them. I will continue to chase them but I will not hold my breath for anything back. -.- update..... eventually got my money back 4 months after the accident!!

good

I wanted to balance out the reviews as we had quite a straightforward experience with global response.
It took a bit of time to get the reimbursement, hence only 4 stars, it took just under 3 months. Aside from that, there was good communication and overall we were happy.

Up to yet my claim has been rejected I…yes now fully rejected

Up to yet my claim has been rejected I have asked for it to be looked at again but I don't have any hope in it. My son in law was clear of his brain tumour for over 2 years but he needed a emergency operation on the day we are to travel so obviously cancelled my 60th birthday holiday. But now as it was a returning illness we are not covered and they don't even accept that my partner of 20 years is even a close relative. But i even tried to claim for him without the illness of son in law because i couldn't go and guess what he still not covered even through i couldn't go nowhere to turn there was he suppose to go on his own. So yes apparently he should have gone ahead on his own the only way he could have cancelled was injury or death of me wouldn’t that have been a lovely holiday for him
And that seems to be the end result insurance is not worth it

Doesn't deserve 1 star

Doesn't deserve 1 star. Worst company you'll ever deal with. Put in a claim back in October and its been over 5 months with no one contacting me. I've called numerous times and they promise that Steven Kohler (Claim Manger) and Dave Sheppard (Claims Handler) will contact me but they never do. Still waiting on a call back and I've also sent emails that haven't been responded to. I have sent them all the information they have asked for and yet they still haven't processed my claim, I have asked why and the customer service agents say they don't know why.... Shambles of a company.

The worst company you are likely to deal with

This is a claims company dealing with a number of insurers. It does not work or care about you if you have a claim. It has three objectives, 1) to avoid the claim, in this its first method is to lose all the original claim forms you have submitted. It did this to me despite acknowledging receipt by e mail.2) Delay as long as possible, the claim of 10/15 working days is utter rubbish , more like three months minimum. 3) if it cannot get out of the claim then reduce the sum paid.As you have waited so long and had so much hassle they know that you will accept.
To progress the claim you have to continually chase them as they only respond to pressure, and certainly do not keep you informed. Complaints are just ignored
IF YOUR INSURER USES THIS COMPANY I WOULD STRONGLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU CHANGE INSURER IF YOU WANT PEACE OF MIND. My insurer was Leisure guard, recommended on the net. I will not be using ever again.

Like many others on here very un-happy…

Like many others on here very un-happy with the service , however these these guys act as agents for many others.... l bought my 5* holiday insurance from BIG BLUE COVER ???? , i will also leave a review on there site. Had l seen that my insurance provider was GR i would have not have used this company. Nearly 12 weeks to settle a claim - they then take an additional 30% above the voluntary excess. Leaving you with little to replace the item , lost , damaged, stolen . When questioned over the time delay in response l was told they where still clearing claims from the summer !!! Alarm bells rang - Poor company DO NOT USE !!

Do not use this Company - Ever!!!

My husband booked a 6 day holiday for my sons and myself to Poland for a family reunion. 48 hours before we where to travel my eldest son and his wife found out on their 20 week scan that the child had Downs Syndrome. You can imagine the shock they felt and it was impossible for my son to leave his wife and go on holiday. I phoned Global Response, explained the situation and they said that as it was a
Complication of Pregnancy and they would send me a claim form. The holiday had been booked in March 2017 and we where travelling in September so my Daughter in law was not pregnant at the time of booking. We completed the Claim Form and returned it on the 15.10.17, they put into their system 23.10.17 it took roughly 8/9 weeks for them for them to reject this claim their reason being ‘Downs Syndrome is not a complication of pregnancy’. If that’s the case why are terminations still being offered up to 22 weeks by Doctors for this condition. We asked for them to look at this again but it was still rejected.

£450 stolen, £131 claimed... Really?

I arranged travel insurance with Global response, and had to make a claim after some items were stolen from my hotel room. It took them almost 3 months to process my claim and pay out, although I was unable to claim for some of the items stolen, as in the enormous policy terms there was a fiddly condition which meant we were unable to claim. After having £450 of goods stolen, I'd have hoped Global response could pay me back more than £131.

Lies, incompetence , and couldn’t care less…

I’m appalled by the response or lack of it, that I received from global response! I was left for 7 days with a broken ankle while they messed about, and everyone in the call centre said something different! They were caught out in their own lies, I too have taken matters to the ombudsman.

We had 3 separate flights cancelled …

We had 3 separate flights cancelled over 3 separate consecutive days & Global Response are refusing to pay out anything - The manner and time in which this claim has been dealt with is abysmal and falls below any service level agreement that I have experienced previously.

They are crooks in suits.

I plan to make a full complaint to the Ombudsman/ATOL and take legal advice.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!

If your holiday insurance is dealt with by GLOBAL RESPONSE! DO NOT PURCHASE!

My partner left his bag on a connection flight from Manchester to Heathrow in August 2017, gave global response all supporting evidence regarding to my claim, receipts of everything that was in his bag even receipt of the currency we bought, no communication what so ever from this company not even a letter. Passed from one claim handler to the next, last I heard I was awaiting pay out this was weeks ago, I’ve contacted them to say I will be taking further action if I don’t hear back in reasonable time, and also reporting this company to trading standards by all the below reviews I’m not the only one with problems from this company. This company needs closing down full stop.

Slow response and poor cover

The stated timeframe for responses was not adhered to, and I waited ages to hear after lodging a request for a claim form, without any updates along the way. My claim was rejected because of the paltry extent of circumstances covered - I missed my flight home because my car broke down, but they only cover flights to your destination! I'd rather have cover to protect me getting home than heading off on holiday! I guess you get what you pay for, but this company is awful...

AVOID this company, should be renamed 'No response'. After problems you can do without the stress of this Company!

When we experienced the delay the claims line had an ansamachine on! The first evidence letter took over two months for them just to review and then we were told it was worded wrongly. They NEVER proactively contact you, you always have to chase. They try to put as much pressure on the customer using delay tactics. Customer service is non-existent. Staff couldn't care less, mindful their customers will be stressed and upset from the outset. Our updated evidence was sent within 48 hours of their (delayed) review, and now we are 3 months later chasing again. Bought this insurance through Debenhams (annual multi-trip) - any financial products through Debenhams or that name this organisation we will avoid. In 20 years we have had to use insurance companies twice....never had this shambolic company to deal with.

Use this company at your peril

This company will not pay out if you have a claim . Without out going in to detail. They will just play you along request extra medical reports which cost and then interpret them how they want to . They will not listen to anything you say . STAY WELL CLEAR

Shocking customer service

Purchased an insurance policy through insurefor. Global response "handle" their claims. Uunfortunately had to cancel my holiday. Now 3 months on I am still chasing for my money back. One of their "managers" dropped me and email with a phone number to call him back and of course... that number doesn't work. Last contact was 3 weeks ago and they would get back in touch asap. Completely over this company, shocking service. Escalated this issue to insurefor also, again, no response.

Extremley Poor Service

As with all the other reviews I have read Global Response have handled my claim very badly. I called up after 3 weeks of not hearing anything despite a response on submission of my claim advising it would be resolved in 10 days. I was told at this stage it would be around 6 weeks before my claim was even looked at and then another 10-12 before I could expect payment. I told this was unacceptable and the case was escalated for immediate review. Another week later, still no response, I called to be told they required further documentation from me. This call was over a week ago and I have still not received the letter stating they require further info. The managers response was that the claim handler was in training and all her work required checking. This was a week after someone on the helpline told me about this and the letter had still not been checked for sending. If I hadn't called to chase up after weeks of no contact I would still be waiting! Letter I submitted from airline was incorrectly worded apparently so I now have to go back to the airline to request one worded to GR satisfaction. The worst company!
