Please avoid!!
I never write reviews but please please avoid! It was borderline criminal, they quoted £49, then charged £300!?? :( awful
If no stars was an option then I would…
If no stars was an option then I would have picked that. Same experience as all the others on here, lead you in with a 49 charge and then the costs escalate. Tried to tell me that the mechanism fitted was £280 so total invoice over £400. Website has misleading 5 star review information on it, which when i've looked further it isn't possible to click on.
Don't use them
Don't use them, get you in with the £39 initial call out got me into the house as key wouldn't turn properly, then took off bar, mechanism, cleaned oiled put it all back together tested it then charged me £267 for 1hrs work having slagged off other Companies who quote more initially and someone who gave him a bad review. Wished I'd seen this first
Scammers
Never use this bunch of thieves. Their machines are set up to not take over £100 so no cover for card payments for their disgusting behaviour. Kept trying to up the costs. Took one of the keys as security for me to pay the whole invoice & despite me telling him I did not want him to climb into my home he did and took sneaky photos in my sitting room!! Left all the metal debris; drill bits screws and shards from the drilled out lock! Not to be trusted
THIEF!
THIEF!
I wouldnt recomment anybody use this company's service again, charged us £300 to change our door mechanism without an adequate explanation as to why this was so expensive and the part they had provided did not look new
Thieves in broad day light
Thieves in broad day light ! A company built on lies and deceit. Stay away do not use them! Charged me £30 for labour ( he unscrewed the lock replaced and screwed it back on barely a minute long job !) and £99 for a new lock when I did not need one. for literally a small piece of the key being stuck inside. I was horrified that he was like you have to give me £49 for the call out fee, fully pressuring me into paying him even though all he did was stare at the stupid door and barely explain it correctly as his English as absolutely atrocious! I have no idea how this company is still up and running! I should have went with the more upfront expensive call out fee company because no way in hell would I have been charged that much in the end for a minutes worth of work ! I’m horrified at this company. Please for your own good stay away !
DO NOT USE
DO NOT USE. The guy turned up, took off the locking mechanism without my consent. His excuse was he needed to have the lock's gearbox repaired. He returned with a NEW locking system which failed a day later. I am still waiting (3 weeks later) to fix the new lock. £340 later. Its daylight robbery. DO NOT USE.
DO NOT USE
DO NOT USE! Wish I’d read trust pilot first!
£49 for a call out, £120 labour for 15 minutes work and £249 for a new mechanism and lock. When challenged about the make and model of the mechanism the locksmith was extremely aggressive to the point I threatened to call the police if he did not calm down. Getting no where eventually I paid him and when transferring the funds HSBC app had fraud messages coming up alerting me to this business.
I wouldnt be happy to recommend this company...
I wouldnt be happy to recommend this company at all.. I left my key in the back of the door unlocked.. I feel disappointed by how getting charged £95 for the man to pretend to mess with the lock, to then put a clamp through the letter box turn the key and simply open the door.. surely that is ripping me off, nothing needed to be broken or changed.. and my door was not locked, just closed on the catch!
Would give zero if I could
Would give zero if I could. Same story as others - quoted one price then turns out that have to drill out locks and fit new one. So £50 turned into £154. Wish I had checked trust pilot first. Maybe £154 is the price you pay to have someone come out but it is the fact that this company lure you in when you are in a vulnerable position and have a total lack of transparency on their pricing. They should ask for a photo or description of the lock before quoting. Shameful that they treat people in this way.
Dissatisfied Customer - Do not use
I would avoid this company. I was quoted £89 for a call out charge and told an extra £40 if they need to change the lock. When the gentleman arrived I was quoted nearly £300 for them to remove the lock and replace it. I declined and asked them to just arrange for the door to be opened this cost £150.
Whilst carrying out the job he significantly damaged the door. Having used locksmiths before I know this could have been avoided.
I called the company to make a complaint and I am still awaiting a response. I had to call several times just to get a receipt.
I have now sent an email and await their response.
I have found this company to be very unprofessional and will not be using them again
Expensive, expensive expensive
The call out time was good, the locksmith arrived within 30 minutes and was friendly. However the cost was over priced. Due to other engineers trying to fit smoke alarms in my house at the time, I had to go with it, because they needed to get in my home, but £159 for labour to assess is VERY over priced. He drilled my old lock and put in a new one, cost of basic lock £69 (again over priced) and labour to fit the lock was £59. So a total of £287 just to spend 10 minutes work. Trust me, never leave the home without checking you have the keys first;). Will I use them again? No.
Very bad indeed - DO NOT USE!
Very bad indeed, my elderly mother rang as couldn’t get hold of me, and he got there about 4 hours later and said the front door lock isn’t reparable and could order a part for £300 but it looks fairly new so just use the warranty, so made her pay £100 call out fee and did nothing an was there for 5 minutes max.
I went round the next day and took the lock out and got it working within 10 minutes which is what anyone should have tried, to justify a call out charge.
DO NOT USE!!!
AVOID just charged my wife £349 for…
AVOID just charged my wife £349 for using a piece of wire to open the front door after she locked herself out. Told her we had BS insurance standard locks and not to look how he got in. Was rude and aggressive, price started at £200 then went to £349. Was texting others now worried he may have cased out home!!?
Do not use this company
Do not use the company under any circumstances unless you want to be charge 4 times what any normal company would charge! Supplied security keys to a domestic property so we are not able to get additional keys cut. When we queried the bill we were told to contact trading standards. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!!
Overpriced £300 for opening the front…
Overpriced £300 for opening the front door in less than a minute after locking myself out !!!!
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
I Was charged £109 after being quoted £65 for a call out when my door lock jammed and I was locked out with my young daughter. He said the mechanism was broken and removed it and the lock said he would get parts and return next day to repair. I asked how much and he said he said £179 plus £69 labour. When I got the invoice it had extra £100 and another labour charge of £59. In total £407 plus the £109 call-out charge!! He said I should ring my insurance snd claim, this is obviously their reason for bumping up their charges thinking it’s ok because insurance will pay - which they won’t! I’m so angry at being ripped off and that he obviously saw me as a single woman he could easily fleece.
