Walked in to the Store, was greeted by Ewan straight away, very nice lad. Helpful. Explained the benefits of a membership to me when I was making my purchase. Ewan is definitely a credit to the Ambleside store

Camping in the Lakes
I had a very good shopping experience thanks to Joe who was exemplary in his help. I needed a few items and his attentiveness and care was second to none. I think that planning a camping trip is important to get right given the preparation required and health and safety aspects involved. Tim helped me find the perfect boots, they were like wearing slippers! Which is perfect for my next 26 mile coastal walk. Excellent service and visited the store another 3 more times in the same week to purchase more socks and a fleece. A lovely store, friendly service and I will definitely be back. Thank you

Really pleasant and helpful staff
Good service from James In footwear who was more than happy to help out with trying multiple pairs of boots, even providing thick walking socks as the ones I had on were pretty thin.
Joe on the paydesk came up with a solution to a problem that I'd had for some time with duplicate accounts.
Being a Yorkshireman It's rarely a pleasure to spend money but good staff help to take the pain away.

Great service
Bought some scarps leather boots a while ago from the shop. Customer service was great from Ewan who fitted me and then even better from Joe at the till. All the staff were very helpful and the boots have been great so far.

Tim helped our daughter get kitted out for her Duke of Edinburgh expedition. He was full of good advice, obviously knew his stuff and was calm and friendly. This is a great branch, with a very good selection for walkers.
